Quitting smoking has two big benefits, and I've been doing it for over 3 months. And both can be said to be long-term investments, apart from long-term health, the money used to buy cigarettes can also be used to invest and I invested in Bitcoin.
In one month I can spend approximately $90 to buy cigarettes, and the price of the cigarettes I buy is around $2/pack for one pack a day and sometimes more than one pack.
And by quitting smoking, I was able to increase my regular monthly Bitcoin purchases from a portion of my monthly salary as well as $90 per month in cigarette money.
And I definitely felt a difference in my health and also saw a difference in my Bitcoin holdings after increasing my purchases, and I wish I could do it forever. Honestly, even though I don't do it, sometimes I am still tempted to want to smoke again when hanging out with friends and also at certain moments.
And the strong reason I stopped smoking was because my wife likes to nag me if I smoke at home because I have small children, and over time I decided to stop smoking. And previously I tried it several times but failed, and now I haven't smoked for more than 3 months and I hope I can do it forever because it has two extraordinary benefits. Health and can increase my investment.

Smoking as they say, is dangerous for health and also smokers are liable to die young. A lot of people still ignore these warnings and smoke like though it is their job and they are being paid for it. The money these people invest in buying smokes or cigarettes if well invested can yield them good profit and benefits instead they decided to smoke it away. Though in some countries were their cold temperatures are below normal, they usually advice their citizens to smoke as it helps to warm the system.

You were lucky to have been able to stop smoking as not every one can d that. Addiction is a very bad thing and once you catch one for yourself you may never be able to give it away. We should make wise decisions in life that will yield us positive results

Smoking does not only kill yourself and others through smoke but you are also killing your purse. 😅 Cigarette here in my country is quiet high in price per pack due to huge taxation. Instead of spending you hard earned or extra money on cigarettes it would be better if you save it so you can buy assets in the future like Bitcoin, precious metals, or real estate if it is sufficient enough for those specific investments.

I am a former smoker who used to spend quite a lot of my money on cigarettes and is now starting to live a healthy life. Well, quitting cigarettes has many benefits which can improve your health and make you fitter. But why didn't I say that quitting smoking can make you save more? I felt it myself that quitting smoking made me buy more food and drink. I admit that it is quite difficult to be able to allocate the money that you should buy cigarettes to something else, such as investing or saving, and I applaud that you can do that.

Spending $90 monthly on cigarettes is a big waste of funds. I smoke but don't spend as much as that because I am not highly dedicated to it. I can smoke twice a day and I am fine. Saving that amount from cigarettes monthly and investing it in Bitcoin is a good decision because it will help you accumulate more Bitcoin through DCA.

Quitting smoking will not just save money from the cost of buying it but the money you spend on your health and others. Some smokers tend to hang out with friends frequently and it could make them spend money on drinks and others. Your wife was right about you smoking in the presence of your kids. We should be good examples to our children and not teach them harmful habits like smoking. I have never smoked in the presence of my wife or children because they can easily follow in my footsteps.

For me the biggest benefit is the health, when you quit on smoking you would save up money allocated for it.
But you are also helping yourself and those around you to be free from it and be healthy.
Health is wealth so we should take care of ourselves, after all some of us are living not just for ourselves but for our family.
But of course others would find it hard to do specially if they have been a heavy smoker for so long.
I've also heard some stories about heavy smoker or chain smoker for a very long time who decided to quit, and the effect was different for them their body drops down instead of becoming healthy.

Smoking is fine as long as you do it once or twice a month or so. The problem is, people can’t control themselves when they start doing it. It doesn’t make you dizzy right away like alcohol does and the bad effects take time to show up in you. That’s why smoking is dangerous than alcohol.

When I drink more than a couple of beer, I start to feel dizzy and that’s when I understand I shouldn’t have drunk that much. I can finish a pack of cigs without feeling anything on the other hand.

Over the years I quit smoking a few times and I realized I am not really quitting it, only taking breaks… (sometimes very very long breaks) I quitted smoking 5 months ago once again. It feels good to be healthy.

I remember a similar topic on the forum. Indeed, our bad habits force us to spend money on something that is not worth attention at all; moreover, we are killing our health without realizing that no amount of money can buy it.
OP, you made the right choice. In the same way, after defeating smoking, many people can be asked to give up alcohol and even sugar. Just count some simple ways to save on some unnecessary things and replace them with investments in Bitcoin.

That was a great decision of yours for calling it a quit. You know we as human are always trapped into one thing or the other which makes our fund not useful to us but we feel it's our right to spend our money the way we want, without considering the health, moral and financial benefit. I believe if we often check where we are not doing right and correct it, it will boost our life performances.

The cegarate you are talking about has made you lost alot of fund which you could have been using for weekly DCA. This your situation is pointing hands not only to smokers but to gamblers, womaniser and drunkards. The amount this set of people waste on fun could have gone a long way but it has been trapped in one thing or the other. And the most funny part is that if you ask people who use money for things that don't add value to their life, they will presume you are insulting them. Because they feel it's their money and have the right to use the way they want without advice from a third party. So let's try and make some changes that will save money for us.

No, avoiding smoking at first will give more health benefits. You see, smoking is a slow killer, meaning the person who is addicted to smoking will someday pay for the consequences in terms of health-related issues. I don't know why it should be discussed because it's common sense that without smoking people will have benefits in terms of health. It's not about quitting smoking that will give you health benefits; it's about how you will avoid it from the start. I've known a lot of my friends or colleagues who smoke, and because they are addicted to it, even though they know the bad effects of smoking, they will want to do it because they can't control themselves. It's the same as being addicted to smoking or whatever, but it's all about how you will help those who need to be awakened from their addictions until its not too late for them to change.

It's good to quit smoking in the first place.
Then , it would boil down to the individual who has made that bold step to  quit smoking, to find a discipline that would match the addiction.

In this case, OP, channeled the same energy of expenses on cigarettes to Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies or other investments that aren't clearly stated.
It shows that he was well informed and educated in the first place and made the right decision to invest.

Not every one who has also quit smoking cigarettes also thought about their financial life in this manner, because while some may rather invest, others may likely fall apart after three months and maybe make further wrong choices or start smoking again.

I have personally been impressed on how much people is willing to spend in a single year when comes to smoking. To me smoking makes even less sense than other habits, like drinking or gambling, because at least with drinking alcohol people can feel in a more wide sense the effects of the alcohol in their bloodstream, and gambling has a minuscule chance to bring significant money to the person taking part in it.
Smoking is pretty much different from those other vices and it does not bring anything good.
There are people who cannot stand the smell of tobacco, and their first instinct is to get away from it when someone starts to smoke close to them. So besides the obvious negative health effects, smoking also have the possibility of keeping people away from one.

I have talked to smokers and they have told me they smoke in order to decrease the level of anxiety they feel in their daily routine, though, anxiety can be dealt with using different tools and other approaches.

And previously I tried it several times but failed, and now I haven't smoked for more than 3 months and I hope I can do it forever because it has two extraordinary benefits. Agree with you cigarette not only effect a person's health but is also an enemy of your wealth so if someone wants to keep his life healthy and happy then he should avoid smoking. There are so many bad activities which not only waste money but make a life of a person miserable but people often desire to choose that path either they have no mind or they avoid their sadness by engaging in such activities.

If someone is not smoking then his health will be good, his money will not be wasted and if this amount is used for investment then it will be profitable for him so why people are ignoring these Benefits? Quitting smoking has two big benefits, and I've been doing it for over 3 months. And both can be said to be long-term investments, apart from long-term health, the money used to buy cigarettes can also be used to invest and I invested in Bitcoin.
In one month I can spend approximately $90 to buy cigarettes, and the price of the cigarettes I buy is around $2/pack for one pack a day and sometimes more than one pack.
And by quitting smoking, I was able to increase my regular monthly Bitcoin purchases from a portion of my monthly salary as well as $90 per month in cigarette money.
And I definitely felt a difference in my health and also saw a difference in my Bitcoin holdings after increasing my purchases, and I wish I could do it forever. Honestly, even though I don't do it, sometimes I am still tempted to want to smoke again when hanging out with friends and also at certain moments.

I would say you are lucky if you could stop smoking not to mention the other benefits because health is the most crucial thing for something alive, be it humans, animals, plants, or anything else. The second benefit that you are talking about can be done by a lot of people even if they are not smokers because many people spend money on things that aren't necessary and they can easily skip them if they want to, it's all about patience and self-control.
Many people spend a lot of money on food and stuff that they eat unnecessarily from outside which they can eat at home without having to spend that much money. Others might spend money on things such as coffee, alcohol, bars, and a bunch of other stuff that they do which they can skip, even if they don't leave them forever, they can at least reduce the days

Smoking is very harmful to our body, we know it and it is written on the cigarette pack, yet we are addicted to it. I smoke cigarettes less but still smoke the equivalent of 0.7$ cigarettes per day which equates to $21 per month. It's a complete waste. I know this but can't quit smoking. If we don't smoke this cigarette and invest this money in Bitcoin or some other place or save this money then it will benefit us a lot. But I don't know how many people will be able to do it because smoking has become our habit now
