At the point you quit smoking, you made three benefits and not just two. Your wife and your children can have better health because breathing in your smoke is more hazardous to them. And because the bitcoin value is looking great this year of the halving, that $90 will be worth more than that.

I tried smoking with friends out of curiosity, I never really liked it. My parents also shared with me the terrible impacts cigarette smoking can bring to the smoker and considerably more to the others who breathe in the smoke. And I am horrified by the photos from health advertisements showing the awful impacts of smoking on the human body.

As an active smoker, I really understand the dangers posed by the nicotine contained in cigarettes, apart from damaging your health, cigarettes can also empty your pockets. I have repeatedly tried to quit smoking, but always failed. Every time I'm working in front of a laptop, my mind feels like it's frozen and it's hard to get inspiration, without a cigarette my mood can't work together.
Even though I haven't been able to completely stop smoking anymore, I am getting used to reducing my dependence on cigarettes. Usually I could consume two packs every day, but now it has started to decrease to one pack. Luckily you have been able to avoid smoking addiction, try not to be tempted anymore, you will get many benefits from quitting smoking.
Same with me, life without cigarettes is like life without color. Because I'm addicted, every day I definitely finish one pack. If you think about it, the money that was burned could create business capital. the number of cigarettes since starting work is because people are addicted to cigarettes and carry on the same thing until now. very difficult to avoid

It is difficult for active smokers to get rid of the smoking habit, even though they are aware of the negative impacts of smoking, this does not make them afraid, because for them smoking is a pleasure in itself when inhaling and exhaling the smoke.  Some of them assume that smoking can reduce stress and create inspiration, this is of course justified for cigarette addicts.  Efforts to stop smoking certainly cannot be done suddenly, at least they can reduce it and have their own stages depending on themselves

2 packs a day is quite a lot of cigarettes, I'm sure that with the money you spend on those cigarettes you should be able to build a house out of them. My father when im still young and he's still alive, i have seen that he had been almost consuming 1 box of cigarrette a day on which until the time comes that his body did really gave up and having those pulmonary disease on which it is really just that sad that even up to now he do still really have that kind of behavior even on consuming 1 stick per day on a certain moment or particular day on which it is really that something a vice that you could really be easily to stop. I have seen someone who do really keeps on telling on quitting but it didnt able to quit up until he would really be able to have those body effects.

People wont really be taking some action not until on the time that they would really be experiencing those health issues on which this is something that we cant really be able to know easily
until those symptoms would really be coming out. This is why it would really be just that be careful on what are the things that we've been dealing.If you do smoke then do it moderately
or not really engaging at all.I dont see any benefits from it.

my father was like that too, he used to smoke 1-2 packs a day and when i was little i often teased him by saying that smoking would only kill him in the future. but unfortunately, when i was in high school, i became a smoker and in a day i could finish half a pack of cigarettes and that habit lasted until i got pneumonia and sinusitis which got worse. now i have completely stopped smoking and have started living a healthy life. for my father, he only smokes 2 cigarettes a day because he has narrowed blood vessels in the brain and heart. so it's true that smoking has no benefits at all.

I like your point of view, it is true that passive smokers are more dangerous and more susceptible to disease than active smokers, and that is a fact that must be acknowledged. Moreover, for health and a beautiful life in the long term, it would be useless to save a lot of Bitcoin if health is not well maintained, health is the main priority scale, if something bad happens it will be worse than a decline in the price of Bitcoin. The cost of health is very expensive, we must be able to choose what is best for ourselves, our wives and children and in general our family. We can divert the budget spent on buying cigarettes anywhere, we can even buy bricks to build a house, investing in Bitcoin is the best way.

You are great because you can stop smoking. Because many people out there are difficult to stop smoking. When you are quitting smoking, there will be lot of benefits to come after that. But the real problem is the motivation and dedication to actually do it, because it takes a sacrifice about how difficult it is to quit smoking, lot of my friends failed to do so and they come back to use it after few weeks of quitting. When people actually quit for real, then I'd salute for them because of the dedication they did to escape that.

I didn't see where OP said he smoke in the presence of his family Grin
Addiction is addiction but common sense will be available for a caring dad, I don't think OP will sit and smoke on front of his kids and wife, many Dad's that smoke aren't even proud of it, they do it hidden just to make sure that the kids don't learn about it, the wife might know about it but kids are always not expose. If OP could take this decision to quit, the he must have value his family and his health.

If it is addiction, nothing's easy. It would be fine having a vision of quitting but for sure you will be having a hard time to stop. There's simply obsession and compulsion which are basically components of gambling. Meaning, you are unaware and in no control of all your actions due to the presence of "drive" to gamble. You'd be able to quit indeed but expect inconsistencies along the process. When you are quitting smoking, there will be lot of benefits to come after that. But the real problem is the motivation and dedication to actually do it, because it takes a sacrifice about how difficult it is to quit smoking, lot of my friends failed to do so and they come back to use it after few weeks of quitting. When people actually quit for real, then I'd salute for them because of the dedication they did to escape that.
There will be many benefits for everyone who decides to stop smoking, but if you are already addicted to smoking, being able to stop is not an easy thing, some people even have to try several times to be able to stop smoking, only then can they succeed, if someone has been able to stop smoking. smoking habit, of course they will have good health and also the income they have will be able to save because they no longer use it to buy cigarettes and there are some people who have stopped smoking, they will be able to save more than when they smoked.

Quitting smoking has two big benefits, and I've been doing it for over 3 months. And both can be said to be long-term investments, apart from long-term health, the money used to buy cigarettes can also be used to invest and I invested in Bitcoin.
In one month I can spend approximately $90 to buy cigarettes, and the price of the cigarettes I buy is around $2/pack for one pack a day and sometimes more than one pack.
And by quitting smoking, I was able to increase my regular monthly Bitcoin purchases from a portion of my monthly salary as well as $90 per month in cigarette money.
And I definitely felt a difference in my health and also saw a difference in my Bitcoin holdings after increasing my purchases, and I wish I could do it forever. Honestly, even though I don't do it, sometimes I am still tempted to want to smoke again when hanging out with friends and also at certain moments.
And the strong reason I stopped smoking was because my wife likes to nag me if I smoke at home because I have small children, and over time I decided to stop smoking. And previously I tried it several times but failed, and now I haven't smoked for more than 3 months and I hope I can do it forever because it has two extraordinary benefits. Health and can increase my investment.

Congratulations on stopping to smoke, that is a huge step and I hope you can pull it off. I have been smoking for more than 10 years myself and it took me a long time to finally stop. Crazy that one pack of cigarettes only cost 2 USD for you, here in my country we have to pay 6-9 Euros for one pack. Smoking is really expensive and once you stop you will realise how much money you are saving with it. The best thing would be to still keep budgeting your monthly income for all the cigarette purchases but use that money for investing instead. Like this we would ensure that we don't use our additional money for any other purchases and we can help to grow our crypto portfolio. The money is only the small benefit when quitting smoking. At least for me the health benefits where really big after I finally managed to stop smoking. It took like 4-6 months for my lungs to get better again and I managed to get rid of that annoying cough which I had for years. So, anybody that is smoking a lot and spends a lot of money on cigarettes I would recommend to try to quit.

People always forget that second-hand smoke is much more dangerous than the first-hand smoke and that those around you are more likely to get cigarette related diseases even though they don't smoke but because they've got a family that's smoking around them. I wouldn't think that even if you quit smoking that you'd be investing that much money into bitcoin because it's a thing of what could have and not what you will do, it's a hypothetical scenario for the money that you're spending on cigarettes and you'll probably spend it on other things like food or alcohol or other stuff to have fun.

It is difficult for active smokers to get rid of the smoking habit, even though they are aware of the negative impacts of smoking, this does not make them afraid, because for them smoking is a pleasure in itself when inhaling and exhaling the smoke.  Some of them assume that smoking can reduce stress and create inspiration, this is of course justified for cigarette addicts.  Efforts to stop smoking certainly cannot be done suddenly, at least they can reduce it and have their own stages depending on themselves

As you said, it is very true, this often happens to active smokers, actually they want to stop smoking but it is difficult and because it takes time it takes time. OP, I don't know what country you live in but any cigarette you can buy in the US for $2 is probably made from what's swept up off the floors of some big tobacco company and rebranded as a cigarello or some such thing--I've tried them, and it's like smoking sulfuric acid.

Even so, anyone who smokes ought to either quit or (this is not a health recommendation but a financial one) switch to vaping.  I'm a former cigarette smoker and would spend at least $10 a day on smokes until I started vaping.  It's so much cheaper than a pack-a-day cig habit it's not even funny.  And just my anecdotal experience: I don't have the dreaded smoker's hack anymore, and my lungs don't feel constantly congested with tar.  I'd love to quit altogether for health reasons, but haven't been able to yet.

Tying this back to bitcoin, I would certainly agree that with the huge amount of money saved by stopping an unhealthy (and stinky) habit, you'd be able to stack some serious sats--and pretty quickly, too.  Anyone living in the US or any country where tobacco products are hellishly expensive could back me up on that, because it's a massive expense.

In the place like my country, where the health care insurance is subsidize by the government, smokers is a burden for everyone, their illness which they choose to have is being paid by taxpayer money. I wish there is a way to exclude smokers from subsidized healthcare.

Did you know drug addicts, they just need rehabilitation to stop it, just like cigarette addicts.

I am very agree with this, cigarette addicts is similar to drug addict, there should be a place or institution to rehab those smokers, I believe there are some alternative for cigarette, so smokers will be forced to moved gradually to those alternatives.
