Most people will just keep on playing with their winning amount and lose it in gambling. What's the use of such wins if we do not be able to spend it other than gambliing 

Can't blame those gamblers since luck is already there. They are just maximizing the advantage they are supposed to get by continuing. However, the right timing to take a break is crucial and most of the time, after winning a big amount, the gambler ends their session with no amount left.

Back to the topic, I do think that those gamblers who always share their winnings are already generous even before the time they engage in their gambling activity habit. That being said, we can say that these types of gamblers are naturally kind and known by most people around them as a person who always lends a hand.

I don't know but I feel like some winnings in gamble actually amplifies the gambler character because so many people are of the mentality that money won from gambling is actually free money and they don't reason twice before giving or using the money. It is good to give but it will not necessarily be whenever I win. I give because I want to give. After all, there are a lot of people who don't know that I gamble so they don't even know if the money is coming from gambling or not. I saw a post about how maybe some people will collect or reject the money from gambling. The problem with giving people the money you won from gambling is that, the same people will be the ones to condemn you, so that is one thing I hate if you want to give. Agree on what you have said on which you arent that obliged to give something into other people on the time that you do win up a game. Just like me on which i dont feel like on giving a dime
even if it means that its a token of appreciation specially into those staffs or other people around but still i would rather make use of those amounts for me to make some further bets. Sounds selfish?

In my case, I am a little generous because winning is a blessing that should be shared. However, I will not make people feel guilty when I give an amount from my blessing.

How old are you now OP? I ask because your friend must be old already for him to be called as a pensioner and then his children are already full grown which can also give him some money. He can use this as a reason as well and I think this sounds better or more appropriate than the reason he gave there.

Gambling is unreliable and what if his relatives and friends need money now? So, saving money is a better idea than to gamble. He can also ran a lending business to earn a profit. If you ask me if I'm generous, yes I am and I like to give help even if I don't win in gambling but as long as I have an extra money. Most of the times, I never thought of a good karma but I only feel great when I do this.
