I believe this are typical things that happens to a gambler. Greed will always be there because we are trying to win more and this is gambling, not trading. That's one behavior that is not easy to control especially when we are winning and feeling lucky on that day.

Over confidence in my opinion is when we feel like we are losing more so there's a little chance we will lose on the next bet which I think is a wrong perspective about gambling. We become more brave to keep on betting because of the idea that we won't lose anymore after a losing streak. It's a big mistake. You are very correct at some point but I disagree with the newbie you just mentioned. Because greed and over confidence is for everyone. And not to be classified to some set of people. Although newbie might fall in such category mostly but doesn't necessarily mean it's only them but to all. We all fall prey to it sooner or later. Human nature.

But we as gamblers should be fine as long as we learn how to pre-plan our gambling adventures to include certain rules and train ourselves in our discipline so that we can follow those rules.

Greedy is always be number one enemy in gambling or trading in fact this should be your enemy in your life too. After winning big there will be a feeling of overconfidence in gambling or trading.

mine is chasing losses and using money I can't afford to lose, that mistake has ruined my funds and money that I shouldn't be using for gambling multiple times. this used to happen to me a lot in the past, the urge and the feeling that you'll get your losses back was just too much that you convince yourself that risking money you can't afford to lose is worth it. of course, the majority of the time it doesn't work(there are times that it does) and I end up losing more than I can afford to lose, luckily this is in the past. while I sometimes still get the urge, I am far more responsible now and know what to prioritize.

This is what I mean the true reason why there are so many losers in the gambling industry  as if

Naturally, people are greedy because of the constant desire for more wealth and it has become common for gamblers to show this desire. Greed is even why we lose at times and record big losses.

I am a gambler and have been trapped severally because of greed. Most times after making predictions I am not comfortable with the potential win and then I add more games and then lose at last and then the amount I felt was small becomes something for me if I had won it. Other times, I place the same game in different tickets because of overconfidence that the game is 100% sure and the game ends up ruining all my tickets. And, I have always failed to cash out when necessary and end up regretting it.
