We want more, that's how human beings behave. It's difficult to be a disciplined gambler especially if the profits are in your hands. Yep, overconfidence isn't  something that will help you to win, so it's better to avoid it. It's worth noting that some people become overconfident even after the continuous losing, not only winning. For some reason they believe that the more bets are lost the higher the probability of winning the next bet. Who among gamblers weren't thinking like that at some point? But it's wrong, obviously.

The important thing is to reduce that hunger to make huge amount of money after such gambler has succeeded winning huge, the common reason why gambler's always empty their account when they winning huge is because they have refused to space the gambling site and with the mindsets that could expand and double their earnings.

That is not true, there are gamblers who are professional and they follow their strategy. The problem is most of us aren't professional so we don't know how to handle our bankroll in gambling, as we are being unrealistic most of the time. A professional gambler would be happy with 20% gain in a day or week, but those who aren't are greedy to think they can turn their bankroll into x10 in just a short period of time.

I'm guilty of this when I was just starting my venture in gambling, I was like hitting when the iron is still hot I believe in this saying in many situations but it's too late to find out that it will not work in gambling, I was so greedy back then that I thought that I can make money from gambling if I can create a winnable method, I was in searched for the best method I can apply on my betting so I can win some more, I even explore martingale because the theory looks good on study but unfortunately I found out that it will not apply on gambling.

There was also a time I was given a tip that a particular game was going to be fixed by players and teams I was so greedy that I even pawned my watch so I could bet more so I could win more until I found out that it was fake news.
You should never apply greediness to gambling, there's a lot of uncertainty in gambling, and if you cannot moderate your greediness you will be a step closer to becoming addicted to gambling.
