Is there any clear ways to determine if this site is BS? It appears scammy to me.
The easiest way to see if such websites were made to scam their users is by trying to find if other cloned versions already exist or not.

this is some typical romantic scam 101.
Yeah, that's actually it is and good thing that you've never fallen in love on him. Yes, him! Because for sure that gal that you have chatted with for sure is a guy behind that computer. That's their scheme, they'll make their chatmates intrigued to open discussions about financials and cryptos and will try to encourage you how profitable their trades and will give you a specific website that they've probably made. They'll ask you to deposit so that you withdraw your profit which is higher so with your curiosity, you'd try until you'll just realize that you've been scammed because there's no real money there and your deposit is gone forever.

and I did not move shit.
This is good to know that you're able to escape getting scammed.

Hi,

I have a friend who has been using a site - eag.cc to transfer ethereum to. This looks like a classic scam site. Is there any clear ways to determine if this site is BS? It appears scammy to me.

eag.cc

Thoughts?

Many thanks in advance.

It's crazy for anyone to use this website for any thing, it sounds alarming, and also it look like a made up story to me because you said your friend use this platform, for what exactly? To transfer ethereum? That's not possible because he would be scam straight away, and I said this because the platform is not a verified trading platform, it's not on the list of crypto exchanges.

I believe that the moment any idiot deposit any amount on the platform they won't be able to withdraw, if you can't find any crypto platform listed as one of the exchanges on coinmarketcap don't use it, there are way too many crypto exchanges that are trusted this days.

Even the new ones like Bybit, Bitget and CoinEX are better, but not one person know this platform, even the name is already sounding like a scam, be careful what you use in this crypto space to avoid getting scammed.

Maybe sound alarming especially if this is well introduced by some entities to newbie people which doesn't have any knowledge about crypto. If they rush their decision to deposit some ethereum just like what OP said which his friend done then provably they will end up getting scam.

They will end up being scam if they deposit some amount in these kind of site and for sure the owner of this site just wait for a newbie to get curious about what services they can offer and try to spend some for hoping that they can get decent return.

But if they explore and ask for feedback for sure they can get a clear inputs about that and will be redirected to more legit platforms.

Too bad, I really thought this gorgeous ukrainian girl that was 10 years younger than me had a stepdad that was in the know like she told me so I could get rich off crypto and run off with the Ukranian Angel. Pooper!

I'm sure the scammer is not a girl and not from Ukraine. Whoever you chatted with is mostly likely a guy from any part of the globe who used the country and sex to try to scam you on bumble and I'm glad you never fell for it. Despite the help you got from forum members about the scam website, I also want to believe you've learnt something. Bumble is a dating website and such places are scammers hub, so if you can, stay away and look for a physical relationship.
