Hello everyone, I'm only newly invited to the forum, and I must say that I've enjoyed every bit of the time I've spent here, especially on the beginners and help board because I was advised that as a beginner that's where I'll learn about things concerning the forum.

To be honest I'm amazed at the traffic and I've noticed that I could learn a lot from the forum. Also, I'm open to learning and pass knowledge in anyway I can, but I want to know how I can impact the forum, what core values does the bitcoin talk community needs? Or is impacting knowledge here only specific to a certain caliber of people or higher ranking members?

Like I said earlier I'm open to learning and I'll need answers from anyone so far you're telling me the right thing, I'll read everyone's reply and take note of everything you say cause I believe it would help me grow.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Still quite excited to be here? It's OK. My advise for (not only!) newbies: relax, chill, read, learn to use the forum search (or hop over to https://ninjastic.space to search this forum). Many questions of newbies have already been posted by others and likely answered. It's not always easy to find those, but at least you can make some effort to search before hastily posting.

Don't burden yourself to make a "significant impact". If you can, nice! If you can't, so what, who cares. Seriously, I don't think we should expect "significant impact" from new members. Try to make a contribution with your posts that has some value for others, in one way or another. No need to rush it, no need to freak out.

Doesnt mean that forum needs like a professional or with a significant background about some preferred topics. Forum needa users tha were able to communicate well and share ideas that can be somehow helpful or new things that can be discuss thoroughly here. It's not that bad or too good in my opinion since most newbies can't contribute to the forum yet as many newbies are still at learning phase and there's so much to learn first before newbies are able to contribute in the forum. Well, there are some exceptional newbies who already have some decent knowledge and contributed a lot to this forum so I would say that they do have a great impact on other newbies and also higher ranking forum members.

Additionally, to what have been said above you shouldn't be bordered with making impact to the forum yet. you can spend some quality time figuring out your area of interest in the forum and focus on it and probably how to navigate the forum properly[1]

Contributing to the forum is globe, I mean not just for high ranked members but for everyone here but if only you have the right knowledge then you should contribute if not you can simply learn from others contribution.

You should also consider knowing the dos and don't (Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ) of the forum in order not to fall victim of any of the rules here.[2] and also visit Newbies - Read before posting[3]

Anyone can contribute anything to the forum, and because it is a discussion forum, your ideas, opinions, solutions or frame of mind can make a meaningful contribution to the forum. So all you need to do in this forum is discuss and contribute your great ideas

Hey welcome Princess Leah, what a great name for your account. Are you a Star Wars fan?  Grin

Anyway, mostly, newbies can go and read posts from the Beginners & Help and start from there. There are a lot of stickied posts that would help you out and get answers to your questions that you may have. That's the best way to get started. You got to read a lot  Shocked

Before posting, you need to search the topic/subject first because it might have been posted already or something. You might just get redirected or something.

Participate in discussions that have not yet been discussed or add input. Maybe you have a different opinion than anyone else.

At least you are here now and the forum is full of resources so you get to access it being a member. So get yourself started in this journey. Good luck!

As a newbie, you need to be yourself and don't try to be like someone else, if you have any knowledge that you learn outside the forum and you know that it is of value, you can bring it here so that other people can learn from it.

You can also look at what you can assist the forum with and contribute to the forum. Read more and make show that any information you hear is right by doing your own research before going into conclusions.

I do not understand your excitement but I am happy that you are excited to be here. As I have said earlier and I am going to repeat it once again go through different boards and find the one that suits your understanding. Make sure that you make friends here if you want to grow as creating enemies and disagreeing is quite common on the forum. Understand the rules and regulations and abide by them without hesitating or questioning them. It is much easier to do that way otherwise you would get banned or get a negative trust on your profile.

OP, you yourself claim that you are surprised by the forum’s traffic, so you need to understand that it is not the forum that will be interested in newcomers, but vice versa. There is a lot for beginners to learn on the forum; you do not have to have much academic knowledge to communicate on issues that interest you.
I see your January registration and only the third post. Be bolder, OP; don’t hesitate to ask about things you don’t understand.
Good luck!

I want to know how I can impact the forum, what core values does the bitcoin talk community needs? Or is impacting knowledge here only specific to a certain caliber of people or higher ranking members?
I would like to ask if you have any special skills. Do you think you are an expert in something? It could be mining, it could be understanding Bitcoin, or other currencies, it could be setting up wallets, or troubleshooting computers and the operating system, or maybe you could be a internet security expert. You could share anything that may add value to this forum.

Quote
Like I said earlier I'm open to learning and I'll need answers from anyone so far you're telling me the right thing, I'll read everyone's reply and take note of everything you say cause I believe it would help me grow.
If you want to learn, there are no short cut way. You have to spend time on this forum to learn more about this forum. If you want to learn more about Bitcoin and crypto, you can stay here and there and read the guides and other helpful posts.

Good to hear that you're having a great time so far in the forum. There's plenty to learn and to be fair, even I with Sr. Member rank still has plenty to learn since there's just too many knowledge to learn in crypto as whole aside from me learning programming continuously that's why I am quite not frequent in posting lately.

I assume you're asking how can you "make" a good impact in the forum? There's plenty of spaces to give "great" impact. Got some techy ideas? We got Bitcoin Technical Discussion board.
Want to influence your fellow Bitcoiners in the same country as yours? We got local boards.
You can reply in my post to specify what specific type of "great" impact you wanted to give.

TBH, when you're trying to learn something and you hit a snag that prompts you to ask questions here, it shows that you're eager to learn and making progress. Old users will appreciate your effort to learn cryptocurrency or related topics. People here are known for supporting each other to grow and learn, so I'm confident that those with high intelligence also understand the position of a newbie who hasn't contributed much to the forum yet. It's completely normal and understandable.

If you're unsure where to start, you can begin with staking your address to help secure your account.

The forum is open for everyone that is interested to learn regardless of its level of intellect. But it would be an advantage if you have the high motivation to learn that carries along patience and determination. That way, the forum will expect you to be an active member every now and then.

The forum does not require master's degree or professional members to join the forum. In fact, a lot of successful members have started from a scratch until they start learning from other members shared experiences and ideas. What's essential in the forum is that a newly member should be more open to different points of view and is open to a lot of criticism. If he is able to do that, obviously he's really determined to learn so he can also impart his gained knowledge to those new members next to him.

The first thing a Newbie must do when on the Bitcointalk forum is to read all the forum rules and then avoid all the restrictions. You don't need to burden yourself with all the means to contribute to the forum, when you already understand the ins and outs of the forum with all the knowledge you have learned, start contributing to the forum slowly. Now focus on something that can increase your knowledge while you are here, there is a lot of knowledge spread here, you just need to encourage yourself to become a member who is ready to learn to make your future journey easier.

As a beginner i would advise you to stick to learning first and not think about impacting anything yet it, no one is expecting much from you unless you have something to offer and for a beginner you will need to learn first and understand the ways of the forum. Only after learning should you start thinking of sharing your knowledge with others, impacting knowledge is not only for certain groups of people but to anyone who thinks they have something valuable to share can share although people tend to prefer information shared by higher ranks here. There are several ways one can contribute positively but much is not expected from new members rather they should spend their early days learning and growing.

Op, the forum have different sections and each section has a lot of things you need to learn not just in the beginners and help section only but all sections of the forum as there are so many discussions that you can share your ideas and contributions. Feel free to explore the forum as it will help you to learn better.

There are rules of the forum which is not so difficult so you are expected to read the rules as a beginner so that you won't go against them.

To be honest I think you should find your own expertise field in order to make interesting and constructive contributions, the crypto universe is vast, there are several different fields such as trading, investing, selling, lending, programming and gambling. And you shouldn't try to excel in all those fields at the same time, but you should try to improve your skills in one area after the other instead. And not to hoping to be as strong as an expert in all of them.

OP If you really want to learn like a beginner, don't rush, be patient, and spend enough time on the forum to learn. Because the forum is an ocean of knowledge. Every board can widen our scope of knowledge through proper application. There are many valuable and important discussions here, which will help you a lot to contribute to the forum. Post if you want to know something and do your bit to inform or teach us with accurate information by researching what you know that has never been discussed in the forum before. Take your time without fear, and continue your exploration of the forum with confidence. If you put time into the forum, the forum will not return you empty-handed.
Enjoy your time in the forum. All the best.

You have no special way to impact the forum right now unless you have some special skills. Even having special skills, it's the forum that will impact you and not the other way round. The only thing Forum requires from you at the moment is helpful and informative discussion that can be of aid to others and abide by it rules. Likewise, the forum is equipped with experienced people in various aspects of crypto and other field who are ready to provide assistance whenever you need it. If learning is what you are here for, you actually at the right place.

Impacting knowledge is not specific to any caliber. In fact, impacting knowledge is what will make you grow higher to those caliber you are thinking of. Your rank doesn't matter as long as the knowledge is beneficial to the community. However, experience they say is the best teacher and as such, high rank members seems to provide helpful and detailed information compare to lower ranks. Nevertheless, expose yourself to research and not only depend on others.
