As a newbie, you need to be yourself and don't try to be like someone else, if you have any knowledge that you learn outside the forum and you know that it is of value, you can bring it here so that other people can learn from it.

You can also look at what you can assist the forum with and contribute to the forum. Read more and make show that any information you hear is right by doing your own research before going into conclusions.

There’s no need to act like your someone who’s knowledgeable in almost every topic in the forum. The forum will understand that every newbie that comes is hungry of the knowledge. That is the most important, showing that you are indeed interested and capable to learn, and not pretend that you already know everything and easily jump into conclusions.

The forum is not asking high expectations from newbies. So it’s okay to be less knowledgeable and less experienced in the start, because eventually when you have acquired almost everything in the forum, you will turn into a professional and well conversed member in the forum that will continue to uplift every newbies in the forum.

The bitcointalk community needs a lot of things, first of all, I think they all wish they had bought BTC around 2012 hehe (just kidding), you can see there are many sections in this forum where you can contribute by sharing new technologies, and developments, and news about that section, for example about BTC in BTC section, about alts in alts section, etc. You should first see the structure of the forum and then try to decide where you can write your post.

Adding good answers to members' replies and helping others would help you create a good image among the forum members, I suggest being open, helping, protective (as well), try to contribute with knowledge, and yeah, I think that's it, by doing these you will rank up, but wait, one thing is you have to be consistent here otherwise it might be hard for you and don't forget to join your local community (country-wise).

OP, like you have said, if you are open to learning, then you have to learn first before you can be able to help other newcomers too, and vice versa. Learning is continuous, and as you have come to the forum with the intention of learning about cryptocurrency, that's how other newbies will always find their way to this forum too, and if you have actually learned more things before then, you will also be helpful to provide some great ideas and educative comments to them, and by so doing, you are also putting a good impact on the forum.

This is a general forum where knowledge is not limited to only one member or a specific rank. Yeah, you can actually see different ranks on the forum, but it doesn't determine the level of knowledge the user has. Someone could be a full member by rank but might actually know more about Bitcoin technical than another member who is a Hero rank. On the forum, the knowledge of members is not usually measured by ranks but by the level of knowledge and good ideas contained in the comments of users.

This forum is against plagiarism, using AI to write comments, shitposting, spamming, and trolling. If you want to enjoy your stay here, then you have to avoid going against those rules. If you visit any board on this forum, always look out for the pin message; it usually contains instructions for that board.

Don't burden yourself to make a "significant impact". If you can, nice! If you can't, so what, who cares. Seriously, I don't think we should expect "significant impact" from new members. Try to make a contribution with your posts that has some value for others, in one way or another. No need to rush it, no need to freak out.

We old users certainly understand when we become new members in the past. So we will always know what the process is to be good in this forum. So we understand and always try to know, new members need a process. But I definitely see how they process, if they remain stagnant then I tend to think negatively of this because there is no effort to grow.  So it's best to keep trying and growing to show other users with your posts that continue to improve in quality. Yes, the Beginners section is expectedly where you can learn faster about a subject matter as there are veteran members who are more than willing to share insightful comments on questions newbies like you would ask. There's little or no expectations from newbies and that's because the assumption is that they're greenhorn. However, that doesn't mean newbies aren't knowledgeable in certain subjects of discussion. No one, inclusive of newbies, is discouraged from impacting the forum if they're knowledgeable in what they're doing.

What I know that's demanded of newbies throughout the forum is for them to read and assimilate before posting. Secondly, newbies should stick to the rules here as breaking any has dire consequences.

What's essential in the forum is that a newly member should be more open to different points of view and is open to a lot of criticism. Thats true. I am even a newbie before and starting to think of ranks after few years and even got did a lot of efforts just to attain my rank too. Anyways that would be great to see and give also some pointers to people who started and wanted to become a high rank members. I don't think anyone is obliged to give impacts on this forum, especially newbies. If you can give good things to the forum, thats good, and people will notice and appreciate you. But if you don't, that's okay, as long as you don't scam or spam. Especially as someone new to the forum, don't rush into questioning what you can do for this forum, just learn and get as much knowledge and resources from this forum.

Some people are rushing driven by ambition to give impact on this forum while they haven't actually learn anything, and then what happened is they are spamming some sections with unnecessary, redundant, and repetitive, thread. I am not saying that you shouldn't share your idea or create a long thread, but just don't rush into that. Learn more things, read more things.

Welcome to the largest and oldest cryptocurrency sudden in the world. I specifically had to mention it to you so that you will have the idea of where you are. This is a place satoshi and the early developers of Bitcoin discussed about the Bitcoin network and till today high level information about bitcoin is this shared in the community. But regarding your question of how you will impact the forum, I do not think that this question is necessary for now. Overtime many newbies have asked how they will impact the forum but in the end they get impacted by the forum and helped by the forum. It is true to say that the forum does not necessarily need your impact but you need to operate within the confide of the forum rules and regulations.

In order to be successful here just try to be yourself and not pretend to be what you are not in order to appear more intelligent than how you are. This is the fastest way to commit plagiarism. Discover what you want and what you like and find the way to compress that into the forum. The forum is about Bitcoin but yet there are other boards like cryptocurrency trading, the altcoins board, if you have services that you can render and lots more. So, allow yourself to be helped by the forum and not the other way round.

Yes - interest is a good point there. Newbie who has no interest will most likely be lost in going further in this forum. If they have a clear interest in the forum such as contributing to the community with their expertise – then they can build their reputation well.

We have found that many users have managed to build a good reputation and become big contributors on the forum - remember someone: PowerGlove, yes he is the one I mean. I don't think there's any significant impact expected from newbies in the forum because we have little or no knowledge of the forum and how it works, the only way we can impact positively in the forum for now is to help reduce spamming and plagiarism by not engaging in such act.

Knowledge is not limited to a specific group or calibre of people. Just as learning and seeking knowledge is mandatory for all and has no restrictions on who can obtain it, anyone on this forum can advise or teach anyone as long as they have something positive to offer from the topic of discussion. The forum's purpose is to teach people everything there is to know about bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Every activity here aims to achieve this, unless some people show up with a different purpose, which may have an impact on the forum's core value. I forgot the username of this forum member and this forum member was once a newbie and me isn't a newbie but it didn't take long for this forum member to receive many merits and now this person has more merits than me. You can also contribute to the forum like what powerglove did which many forum members know which is the OP identifier which if you ask me it is a contribution to the forum. Anyway, about the topics not being useless. I also think none of the topics are useless but it doesn't mean that all of it is fundamental when it comes to learning because many of it are my moved to off-topic.

If you are making meaningful contributions to posts you see on the forum here, you are already impacting the forum and the entire forum. You don’t have to create a thread before you think you have impacted, if you don’t have any serious information to pass, I don’t recommend creating a thread, and before you create a thread, make sure you use your search button to confirm if similar threads have not been created before.
 
It’s not only the higher rank that is impacting the forum, even the higher rank might be learning from the lower rank sometimes, so don’t think you are of no use to the forum because of your rank, there are some things that you might know and other people won’t know.
