Monero's anonymity and privacy features are sufficient for normal cases.

I've never seen a Monero Mixer that isn't either a scam or at least seems very shady. I would absolutely stay away from it. The question is why would you want to go beyond the anonymity implemented by default? Do you have an overriding interest in anonymity and privacy or do you use it for things that are not entirely legal?

It's definitely a scam. Even though the whole idea itself seems pointless, i had to google and you can pretty much find that out first few reddit posts, when you google monero mixer, where people explain how it's a scam. But i am baffled why would they make such a scam? How would people even fall for this, as it's targeting paranoid people and paranoid people definitely are checking twice where they are putting their money. There isn't even any incentive for greed.

Monero is more than enough and I haven't seen any mixer that's related to it. The privacy that it has got is already there and built in, so if there are services that you see that have been offering monero mixing services, it's likely that after you deposit, you'll never receive it back.

Isn't Monero already a privacy coin? So why the need for a mixer to do some hiding? I think that you're being scammed here OP when you use a Monero mixer, there's a lot of people out there that wants your money because they can steal it without you ever getting it back, stay safe out there. Follow what @batang_bitcoin is suggesting you to do, nothing bad comes when you're asking the right questions on the right places.

Being yourself in the society is the best approach towards one another so if anyone is being private, it is not a wast even in the cryptocurrency ecosystem space. Monero is just like bitcoin and the networks look alike because they all operate decentralized system. How can Monero Mixers are scam. The mixing company might be scam but not the coin. Using a mixer with more people involved than just you and the recipient if you were to just simply transfer is actually riskier. Monero mixers are often known as scams. Monero is already private and keeps you anonymous. It might be the most private coin out there. Are you doing something really shady or are you just really paranoid about your identity?

Anyway, op do not use monero mixers. You are going to lose money more than your privacy. Or even lose both. So be careful instead.

Does Monero have mixers? I am hearing about them for the first time and it is a scam for sure. Monero is already a privacy coin and you won't need a mixer to mix Monero. If you have encountered such mixers then my advice to you is to stay away from them. I am sure if these mixers do exist then they are getting customers who are mixing their XMR and paying fees to them.

As far as I'm concerned it's a waste of time no mixer is needed when using monero. It has secrets it is developing new tricks to scam. You proceed with caution they will cheat and stop everything after taking the money unfollow them to be safe.

The reason may be the desire to spend part of your money on commissions for the mixing service (something like voluntary sponsorship and donations). In other cases, attempts to make an most anonymous coin even more anonymous do not look, to put it mildly, the most reasonable solution.

Of course it’s better, because your history of transactions and conversions (mixings) doesn't remain  with the owner of the mixing service, which he can provide to those who should not be shown it (for payment, under threat of arrest or for other reasons).

This very strange to me hearing about something like Montero mixer.
Why would I have to miz a privacy coin when I don't have to bother myself about some certain things.
The project is fine and for those that have it inthere portfolio should keep making money from it and staying safe with a suitable privacy coin so we don't stress ourselves about mixing or doing other things. Maybe you will have to tell us how come you get the gist of mixing monero.

Almost every mixer I came across apart from Bitcoin scammed people so that is what likely to be the case with the one you saw as well.

As already mentioned XMR is private which gives the complete anonymity between the sender and receiver itself so no one can able to track any details further.

So privacy needs more privacy! It looks shady and anyone with common sense should recognize that easily. Monero is already a privacy coin and thats why the government doesn't like it much. I have seen hackers using monero for ransom. If they are using it to launder money, then it is safe to use if you don't want to show your transaction publicly. If there is any precautions that needs to be taken then it should be about what you will say in your tax record, as the government can declare it a threat to the economy.

Taking extra precautions were actually a good thing, as it can help us to stay away from dangers, so calling it a waste of time sounds awful. I know we are talking about Monero here which is already known to be a private coin but I already saw a thread before which asks if how can they buy a Monero without exposing their privacy because the coin can be like any other crypto who are also listed on centralized exchanges.

Other than buying, there is your thread here which might concern about using a Monero for transacting (you know paying, sending...). Using the service you mentioned there might add an extra layer of security or privacy to us, or to the coin, so why not?
