show amount of the transaction in other currency (than BTC) before sending

is there a way in Electrum to show the amount of a transaction in USD or in an other currency before confirming the transaction?
The same with the fees.

Yes simply toggle to preference settings and change your default fiat currency to the one you want follow this guide.

You can click on tools -> preferences -> fiat. Click on the fiat of your interest and you will be able to input the value in fiat.

On mobile. Click on the green circle (which is in blue if you use Tor or red when not connected) -> preferences -> enable fiat currency and select the fiat of interest.

To give a better description of what @ Charles-Tim said here's the android version. I only use the android version of electrum

It seems Electrum has some issue giving fiat data I've been having this issue since last year with no fiat value or data look at the image below.



However, I just fixed the issue by changing the source to Coincap so @OP if you have the same issue try to change the source look at the image below as a reference.

Just an aditional note OP : If, by any chance, you are using Electrum behind a VPN/TOR you must know that there are some open issues[1] in Electrum regarding having the value not being displayed while using any of mentioned options. The solution so far for this blockage is by using the client over clearnet so that it is able to connect to the services.

Is the whole idea behind using Tor, not for you to hide your location (IP address and location)

Will the change in the Fiat currency not void that goal? (Your local currency can reveal your country of origin or is that info not transmitted to the Electrum server?)

Looking at Electrum protocol[1], there's no method which send your preferred fiat. So the answer is no. Some people also measure their coin value using USD even though they don't live on US.

Same here As I said above other exchange sources do not work only Coincap is working in USD fiat I don't have a VPN, Proxy, or TOR setup everything is my original IP but all of them except Coincap are not working. Other fiats also do not work only USD fiat works for me with Coincap other sources do not work without using TOR or VPN.

After a bit of research and found another report from Electrum just last month report on the Android version that stopped showing FIAT value and solved by disabling historical rates I tried this and it works.
