@pooya87. Putin has said that America is 15 years too late already on controlling the circumstances on China. If he is correct, there will be nothing that will stop this powerful country from becoming the next empire of this world.
About 20 years ago when the US regime decided to wage a war against what they falsely call "Middle East" (the famous Bush order to "destroy" 7 countries in 5 years) and started carrying out terrorist attacks against civilians in 6 of those countries, they didn't expect it would take all their resources and they would end up wasting $12 trillion of American tax dollars with nothing to show for it.

Specially their funding, training and arming of terrorist groups including al-Qaeda which CIA used on September 2001 to attack Americans (as the United States Director of National Intelligence colonel Tulsi Gabbard confessed to the US congress a couple of months ago and also the declassified documents revealed about US regime's terrorist operations as part of Timber Sycamore ops proved) takes a LOT OF resources.

Obviously the world doesn't stand around while the US regime wastes America's resources. Everyone else moves ahead. China is only one of the countries that got ahead. This is why there won't be "one next empire of the world". The world is already moving to a multi-polar order.

However, if America's civilization is falling down and China's civilization is rising up, we can create an assumption that China will overtake America in power and become the next empire. We have witnessed this occur in history already where the British empire has fallen and the American empire has taken over.

There will be a multipolar order in the beginning, however, similar to the movie Highlander, there can only be one hehehehe.

@Reynaldo. I very much agree, however, the Donald's administration has proven that they are not only supporting the cryptospace because of getting votes. I reckon that we can also agree that the Donald's recent actions have been very positive for the cryptospace. We can also be certain that it is more positive than the sleepy Biden administration.

On this argument, there might be another reason or much more reasons on why this present administration wants America to be the leader of the cryptospace. There might be a secret ingredient hehehe. ~

I think that Trump paid attention to BTC and cryptocurrencies in general because his family members are involved in investing in cryptocurrencies and their close associates have a number of projects in this segment. These people pushed Trump to soften the regulation of cryptocurrencies. He himself does not understand anything about BTC or other cryptocurrencies.

Many people in social networks already remember President Biden's term in a positive light, as the markets looked much better under his policies.   Grin

That's unlikely. Unipolar world is really unprecedented. The world over thousands of years has had multiple powers, that powers may have changed but it was always plural. Only in an extremely short period between 1991 and roughly 2020 (I would go as far as saying it lasted only till 2000) we went through a unipolar world. That is unlikely to happen ever again.

BTW what you are forgetting in this comment is that Soviet Union was a super power and a hegemony back when US replaced Britain. The world was still multipolar not unipolar.
Also the other major difference between then and now was that Britain's demise was in the aftermath of WW2 where most of the world was destroyed and weak. Today, there hasn't been any catastrophic world war to destroy countries. There are a handful of powers in the world, some bigger than others. China's rise to power will not make it an "empire" to replace US in a unipolar world.

From the perspective of "soft power" I also doubt that China can ever truly become US alternative as an "empire". The only thing China has is economy. They lack soft power and they have no ideology to take over like US used to do with its liberalism crap.

The golden age will roll and we learn from history where great empires collapsed when many pillars began to shake due to disputes between rulers, manipulation, conspiracy within the body of power, government policies that received a lot of opposition. One era ends then a new era of power appears, indeed this cycle will always repeat itself but with a much more modern concept. The US is in that circle where policies in the economic sector are the main force that is facing challenges.

I don't have any statistics to back this up, but it seems like quite possibly Bitcoin is finally doing what it was meant to do, which is be an alternative currency to the dollar, even if it doesn't act perfectly as a currency. At the same time its still a risk asset according to Wall Street, which can manipulate the price and pump it in "risk on" economic environments. Which I don't think we're in right now. So its kinda a marvel that the price of BTC has held up this well, all things considered.

BTC is that big and strong, and that's great.

Sure thing, it can be affected, but it can never be halted - and many out there start taking notice appropriately.

However, the occurrence might be, how much is the difference of the power between the new power of China and the old power of America if China has overtaken American and continues to rise and while America continues to fall?
How do you define power?
It certainly isn't economy alone. As I said one important aspect is the soft power, the "ism" they have. What kind of soft power does China have? Communism? That is already dead in the world, not even strong enough in China itself. Capitalism? That belongs to US adopted by Chinese. Mao-ism or Xi Jinping-ism? LOL
They simply have no soft power in the international scene to become a hegemony and economy alone only takes you so far.

Domestically their soft power isn't exactly a power either. Their society is very fragile too due to the oppressive ways of the Chinese government. It has not blown up yet because their economy has been improving and people have been coming out of absolute poverty (85% of the population ~40 years ago) which is what matters for now. But in the future as the quality of life improves, the expectations go up as well. They will soon have a social crisis and their society can fall apart very fast. We saw the potential for it during the White Paper Protests back in 2022 where people didn't even know exactly what they wanted!

Meanwhile when we talk about US demise, it is not just economical. As a hegemony, they are losing all their powers. From their economy and military strength all the way to their dollar (aka main weapon) and soft power (liberalism, capitalism, human rights as the world learns that all of them were lies) and a lot more.

This will not be enough for America to bring back their former eminence, I reckon. This might also be why America will become the new peasants that might be making the cheap products for the new empire that will be China heheheheeh.
That could be a possibility but only in the distant future. Specially when you consider their Labor Laws, specifically the Child Labor laws and minimum age to hire a minor that have been getting "looser" every year! More than half of the states have already introduced legislations that weakens all those laws over the past couple of years. I posted something about it at the time mentioning "American sweat shops" as the result of it in the future!

But in near future, it is only disasters due to the nature of this system.
You see USA is not a country or nation-state. It is a system with a promise. In one word: The Land of Opportunity. The 350 immigrants/colonizers who call themselves something-American (eg. Irish-American, African American, Chinese-American) are in North America because of that promise. To have freedom, human rights, liberalism, etc. and a good economy. They have already lost the most of them (no human rights, no freedom of speech, no liberal anything,...) and they are losing the economy as well since the middle class is screwed and the 1% holds all the wealth!

To become the World Factory or as you put it "the new peasants" that produce cheaper products they first have to go back on all those promises. The economy has to fall apart. The dollar has to be completely devalued. The cost of living has to come down so that they don't have to pay $7.25 per hour minimum wage.
They can't do any of that because the system aka USA would lose its meaning and would have no reason to continue existing anymore. Things could quickly escalate and U.S. quickly become N.S.A.W. (neighbor states at war [over resources]) as states secede and the system gets dissolved in a much more violent way than USSR got dissolved.

Devaluing the dollar alone is enough to ensure that dissolution. Because the world would immediately dump the dollar if it starts devaluing and most importantly all these countries that collectively bag-hold trillions of dollars of US debt bonds would dump it and they'll refuse to buy more of it. When they can no longer print more dollars to scam the world and export their inflation, the system would fail.

This is why they don't want to become the World Factory and produce cheaper products, which is evident from their policies and aggression toward the world. But instead they want others not to produce cheap products and remain obedient and continue purchasing US debt and continue importing US inflation so that they can continue printing dollar out of thin air and purchase real and valuable resources and products from others!
In short they want Plaza Accord 2.0 but nobody is going to accept it... therefore the US regime started this economy war and is threatening everyone with military action very day!

^

China differs from the United States primarily in that it has cheaper labor, which allows prices to be dumped around the world. It is very difficult to compete with them. In recent years, the Chinese have learned to make almost everything better and cheaper than other countries.

In addition, Trump apparently forgot that he has about 4 years left for these trade wars. Xi Jinping has much more time to resist the United States. And I think China has a clear advantage in this fight.

Exactly. It's all about cheap labor. And I doubt the US will be able to compete with China. "Made in the USA", doesn't necessarily mean things will be cheaper. Everything can be made in the US, but at a higher cost. This is because workers demand higher wages, healthcare, etc. In China, workers are paid below the minimum wage and are "burned out" until the end. No healthcare benefits, rights, etc. That's why labor is cheaper there.

Perhaps, China has more to win in this trade war than the US itself. The tariffs will affect BTC's market price, albeit for a short period of time. Long-term speaking, it should go all the way to Mars. It's just that its growth will be slowed down a bit. Nothing to be worried about. If you've been long in Bitcoin, you'll know what I'm talking about. May God Bless America and the rest of the world.

How can you ask me to define power and you talk of this ism? I have mentioned of empires already. I would certainly have assumed that you understood that I am talking about real power which is economic, military and political. There will certainly be a world where everyone will be the ally of the Chinamen and the enemy of America, where all of trade will go through the Chinamen and far from America, where American military will be ignored and their bases will be replaced by the bases of the Chinamen.

I predict that China will also be a real empire similar to America. However, if anyone will argue that the Chinamen will not or cannot do this, I will also argue that China will not be a real empire.

By the way, I recently came across a video on one of the social networks where a guy went into a Trump store to check how many products there were that were made in the USA. There were significantly fewer of these products there than products with the label "made in China". In my opinion, this perfectly demonstrates who supplies the most goods around the world. After watching this video, I wondered if I could find something American in my house. I couldn't find a single thing. In my opinion, Trump is bluffing by introducing tariffs, because this hits the economies of the states themselves very hard. Of course, the price of Bitcoin will recover over time, but this whole trade war is very unpleasant for the average person.

I think that the way Donald Trump is imposing tariffs on different countries will harm themselves because the Chinese manufacture various products at very low prices and supply them to different countries. Therefore, through Trump's high tariff system, different countries will not trade with them and will conduct commercial activities from where they will get benefits. I have heard that when a country orders a product from the Chinese, the Chinese say what kind of price you want. This means that they are able to supply the product at any price. They can supply the same product at a high price for rich countries and at a low price for poor countries.

Yes, Chinese manufacturing can adjust to any customer's needs. If you need to make something cheaper, they simply use cheaper components and parts. The Chinese not only have one of the cheapest labor forces, but they have learned to copy very well without violating patents, so they can create significant competition to absolutely any country in manufacturing.

I'm honestly a bit confused by the way Trump is conducting his policies. It is not quite clear why he organized such pressure on the markets if he could first hold a constructive dialog with representatives of each country and then impose duties if no compromise is found.

It seems that he is deliberately creating panic in the markets. I am sure that Bitcoin will go to renew its highs when this trade war stops. We just have to wait.

It is possible that the trade war is just beginning, after all nothing is changed. The Chinese economy is still stronger than US economy and US regime wants to weaken it!
So if it leads to higher inflation, as long as it doesn't make the recession get worse, I'd say bitcoin price should soar just fine Smiley

I also see that in the big picture because china is not backing down, US started a war, china very much welcome with this, as China analyst, Victor Gao even stated that "China has been here for 5000 years. Most of the time, there was no United States and we survived", in an interview.

Trump support for bitcoin has created an enabling environment for bitcoin to receive more adoption, but honestly the price of BTC hasn’t been encouraging

He is correct in the sense of China being a very old "nation" or group of people or however you want to call it, but you cannot compare old times to current times in my opinion. China now depends on other people buying their products. It would be devastating to China if the US stopped trading with them, let alone the entire west. Of course, it would also be non-viable as it stands for the west to not deal with Chain's cheap labor. So this forces the west to deal with all these dodgy countries which are dictatorships and have non-reliable policies when it comes to transparency and rights in general. But the west depend on those countries in order to produce all those affordable goods, so it is what it is. I think automation and robotics will finally allow the west to cut more ties with these countries for once and stop their leverage that they use for deals.

These global powers are now locked in an economic war, but China's response was calm. They've made it clear they aren't intimidated having survived greater challenges before. Unlike the U.S., which keeps asserting its dominance while aggressively containing competitors, China isn't even claiming it wants to lead the global economy.

What's striking is China's composure versus America's erratic approach. The U.S. seems oblivious to the shifting world order, still relying on outdated 'bully tactics' while China strategically adapts to reality.

America does not want to weaken China's economy, I reckon. The Donald's policies want to bring back some of the factories and production in America and help reduce the deficit. If the outcome of this will weaken some economies of other countries, this is not the real mission. They only want some of the economic production.

Also, agreed that it will cause much harm for Americans, however, this might be short term loss for long term security if they implement this correctly.
