It appears that the confidence of the investors from traditional institutions are back buying the bitcoin through the ETF again. They might be speculating that the effect of the Donald's actions might have no more fear on the market.

For anyone who disagrees, why would bitcoin begin to pump during a time when there is volatility on the president's actions? This might imply that people are listening to him less or they are expecting that there might be some positive announcement.

Bitcoin Poised for Strongest Weekly Gain Since Trump Win as ETFs Gobble $2.7B Inflows

Investor appetite from ETF investors also bounced back strongly: U.S.-listed spot bitcoin ETFs recorded $2.68 billion in net inflows this week so far, the largest since December, according to SoSoValue data. (Friday inflow data will be published later.)

It seems that he is deliberately creating panic in the markets. I am sure that Bitcoin will go to renew its highs when this trade war stops. We just have to wait.
It is possible that the trade war is just beginning, after all nothing is changed. The Chinese economy is still stronger than US economy and US regime wants to weaken it!
So if it leads to higher inflation, as long as it doesn't make the recession get worse, I'd say bitcoin price should soar just fine Smiley

America does not want to weaken China's economy, I reckon. The Donald's policies want to bring back some of the factories and production in America and help reduce the deficit. If the outcome of this will weaken some economies of other countries, this is not the real mission. They only want some of the economic production.

Also, agreed that it will cause much harm for Americans, however, this might be short term loss for long term security if they implement this correctly.
That's what the diplomats say to avoid backlash from international community otherwise that is not what they want to do ant that is not what they are doing. Just look at the recent tensions between India and Pakistan just because CIA used one of its terrorist groups to carry out a terrorist attack in Keshmir. Same things going on in Afghanistan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, ... surrounding China with "ring of fire" or terrorists and destabilization. Basically any place where Chinese BRI may go through.

When you look at the US regime's national security document, they are seeing China as a national security threat that needs to be eliminated.

Wanting to weaken Chinese economy is only one part of that puzzle.

The possibility of America weakening Chinese economy is low because China as a country has become a force to reckon with in global affairs infact China has a significant number of countries that they have great influence over in the areas of trade and investment so there is nothing that america  can do to Chinese economy.

The problem with Trump is that he takes rash decisions I thought he will change in terms of his behavior coming this second term this trade war is not going to benefit America at all because other countries too are reacting to the situation and will definitely fight back I see a total boycott of American goods if trump continues with this his proposed tariff plan that is about taking effect

At national scale, Trump has good vision by wanting to bring production back to the USA. USA companies need to have productions mainly in their homeland and I believe that it is better for their national economy and also security in long term. Controlling things happen in your homeland is easier than in China, and before normalization between two big countries in likely since 1980s or 1990s, USA companies and their citizens were familiar with production infrastructures and cost by internal productions.

Why can not bring it back?
Why can not pay more for long term better security and safer economy?

I think in short term, there are lot of pains but in long term, it will be sweet.

I disagree with Trump policy to nearly isolate the USA from the world and like make damages on his national soft power.

^ We will see about that, I just hope US won't be touching the crypto space with the new head of SEC that much, that would be already dandy Grin All the rest of it is not related to BTC that much.

It will not, I reckon. What the Donald's administration has done is help the cryptospace to become more free and more fair. This has become very much clear on their decisions on the unsanctioning of Tonado Cash and the removal of cases against Samourai wallet's developers.

It is very headshaking that when I share news about this, no one gives a positive reaction. This is very bullish news for everyone in the cryptospace. Bullish news should not only be about the price.

I don't think that Trump's decision to move production from China to the US makes any sense because the US labor force is valued much higher than in China. In addition, life there is more expensive than in China. I don't really understand who Trump wants to put at the sewing machines in the US. It seems to me that Americans simply won't want to work in many of the industries where the Chinese are now happily working. On the one hand, Trump has a positive effect on the crypto industry, but on the other hand, he has a negative effect on geopolitics, which in turn has a negative effect on the markets. Sometimes, seeing the decisions made by presidents of different countries, I get the impression that they are very far from the people and do not understand what is really happening in their country.

News update.

We cannot be certain on the future, however, these types of announcements might bring more pumps on bitcoin and cause a quick movement above $100k.

But I will certainly not be very shocked if the disappointment of the announcement will dump the price under $95k again hehehehe. The bitcoiners who are also Trump haters will have mixed feelings on both of these occurrences.

Trump says trade deal with 'big, highly respected country' to be announced tomorrow

Actually the only production US has been the leading country before and in fact the biggest export of US has always been inflation! That is what Trump is trying to bring back and then start exporting again at large.

Due to increasing dedollarisation, he knows that the biggest America's export is no longer going to work. He won't be able to export inflation to the rest of the world. So he wants to force other countries to abandon dedollarisation (eg. threatening BRICS members) and continue importing US inflation... Tongue

This is headshaking coming from a respected member of this forum. I am not quite certain where you get your information or why you are replying with the wrong information. Also, I am not implying that America is a country with a good government, however, America before was the leader in steel and iron, petroleum refining, automobile manufacturing, electronics products and aerospace.

If this stablecoin bill will be approved, what does everyone speculate? Will this really be the cause the real Trump pump or will this by another sell the news occurrence? I reckon if this bill is approved, this will give banks and stablecoin issuers to print their own dollar derivatives in the cryptospace. On a speculative position, we can be very much certain that if there are more dollar derivatives available then there are higher chances these cryptocoins and tokens will pump.

Despite a recent setback, U.S. President Donald Trump should be able to sign stablecoin and market structure legislation before Congress goes on break in August, said White House official Bo Hines on Wednesday.

"Negotiations are ongoing," he said. "But I remain steadfast in my optimism that we're going to achieve — the President's desire is to do it — but stablecoin legislation and market structure legislation before the August recess."

China differs from the United States primarily in that it has cheaper labor, which allows prices to be dumped around the world. It is very difficult to compete with them. In recent years, the Chinese have learned to make almost everything better and cheaper than other countries.

In addition, Trump apparently forgot that he has about 4 years left for these trade wars. Xi Jinping has much more time to resist the United States. And I think China has a clear advantage in this fight.
Without the US, the Chinese economy will not be able to function properly. More than 50% depends on the States. The sales market is simply huge. If we ban the supply of goods to America, the economic situation in China will become stalemate and may lead to its collapse. And investors will flee to other countries. And what will remain in the end? The ruin of the country and complete collapse. Therefore, the Chinese are in a strong dependence.

@madnessteat. Hehehe we should not see these circumstances as the Donald wanting to bring all types of production in America. I speculate that the type of production that the Donald wants to rescue is car manufacturing, also maybe computers and electronics, ship building and other bigger scale production. The types of production where America was the leading country before.

China can keep their sewing machines hehehehehe.

I agree that "always" was not the most accurate term to use. I'm also not denying US exported a lot of other goods, but for almost a century (which feels like "always" for a colony that is barely two centuries old) the largest US export has been inflation. Specially after the Bretton Woods scam and even more so after the Petrodollar scam that export ahs been growing.

The best "source of information" is Trump himself. When he complains about US negative trade balance with majority of the world and then imposes high tariffs on almost every country to decrease that trade deficit, he is confirming my point here that the biggest US export is dollar and its consequent inflation.

That trade deficit tells us is that every year the world sells more real products to US than buys from US. Because they use dollar in their trade, they are effectively importing dollars "produced" or printed by US government. And we already know US government is printing dollar at an alarming rate creating a massive $37 trillion debt ($1 trillion every 100 days last I checked). When you import a fiat printed out of thin air, you are also importing the inflation that comes with it. Therefore the biggest US export becomes its inflation.

With dedollarisation (using anything else other than dollar) the countries import less dollar therefore they import less US inflation.

You think Chinese reach where they are today because of US? US dominate their market but there is no 100% dependency on any market, if US decide to not roll with them again, they will channel to their market to another place and US will lose too because that particular things they are getting at discount price wouldn't be available again. The bags and many more products they are buying cheap from China and branding in US will not longer be available for them again.

By the way, Trump is doing all this because he is now the commander in chief of the United state, they wouldn't be there for long time. Another president will come and retract some of his useless and ridiculous policy to accommodate everyone to United States. You don't have to welcome criminals in your country before you can make reasonable tarrifs with other countries, other strict policies to make America great can remain but make business reasonable for everyone.

Who else? The US has invested an incredible amount of money in China. Thanks to this, development has taken place and continues to this day. If there is no money, everything will stop. Remember the collapse of the construction sector a few years ago. Who caused it and what was the reason? That's what I'm talking about. Yes, I won't say that there will be a total collapse, but something irreparable will happen.

I'll say it straight. Trump has a very poor understanding of what he is doing. He no longer cares about all this. He strove to reach the top of power in order to avoid going to jail. A large number of criminal cases have been brought against him. As soon as his term in office ends, he will feel very bad. No one has forgotten anything.

American dominance over the cryptospace will very become a reality unless the stablecoin bill is approved and signed into law. The dollar under the function of a stablecoin will certainly spread the use of dollars in all of the cryptospace and begin their usage also in traditional finance. Paypal has their own stablecoin already and this is only the beginning. They also did this without yet the approval of a stablecoin bill into law.

It would certainly be very headshaking if China will not also create their own initiatives to be the leader in blockchain.

I tend to agree with you because because trump is deliberately doing what he is doing to make people forget about all his court cases I think that immediately after leaving office most of this cases will be reopened again because with what trump is doing right now I don't see his party winning the presidential election in America because majority of Americans who voted for Trump was not expecting this kind of performance from trump because this tariffs war is having it negative effects on the ordinary citizens of the united states of America

It would certainly be very headshaking if China will not also create their own initiatives to be the leader in blockchain.
Well, China has the digital Renminbi or e-CNY and they started working on it back in 2014 and officially released it back in 2020 in 4 Chinese cities. In less than a year it passed hundreds of millions of users and handled over ten billion dollar worth of of transactions.
The biggest event was usage of it as PetroYuan in October 2023 (cross border oil settlement).

I'd say as far as government issued shitstablecoins go, China is at least 10 years ahead of all other countries without needing to wait for some silly bill to pass.
