Yes of course, I usually use a pattern that worked for me, someday it will work, and will not workout somedays too. I thinks it’s curious that they didn’t catch onto these pattern plays sooner but as you said his 4th - 6th days even the patterns there didn’t work and he was back to the drawing board. Just how you said it, the moment you think that you need to change to another strategy the time that the house is winning inside you, that kind of emotion will leads you to be more aggressive and if you push forward, mostly you will lose all your money.

It's simple, let's say, a gambler tries something that's been recurring in his mind, maybe; play ten times and probably they'll be a win, he does it and luckily he won before the tenth spin. He'd try it again, and same result happens. The person would feel he'd found a way to win consistently in gambling. Not realizing that the house also watches his moves and could be using it against him the next time he tries.
