Someone who panic sell there bitcoin because of a dip is definitely making a mistake, because when there is a dip in the price of bitcoin it presents an opportunity for us to accumulate more with a different and more convenient price as well, but I most say it is more common with someone who is new into bitcoin, or probably doesn’t have a little basic knowledge to panic sell at this point in time
You are right ,most people  that panic and sell their bitcoins are probably traders which maybe short term investors, when there is dip many investors view it as a chance to purchase Bitcoin at a lower  price forgetting that it should be an avenue to accumulate more and hold rather than selling it,but they don’t know that Bitcoin value fluctuate rapidly, but they would be the once to regret later.

You may be right while sometimes this happens as a result of poor planning in terms of having a good cash flow to be able to build a good discretionary fund and emergency fund. However bitcoin investment is not something one will just wake up one day and start investing when you have not even make any plans not to talk of setting a goal, just imagine someone going with this approach what did you think will become of the person? is obvious that the person will end up selling his holdings along the line maybe if there's any alerm for emergency. So anyone who is interested to go into bitcoin investment is advised to make a proper planning before taking any action, so as to enable you get to your destination.

Bitcoin is always the best currency to invest in. If you invest in Bitcoin now, you will forget about that investment for some time after the investment. And only keep an eye on bitcoin price when it crosses 100k, because we all know and believe that bitcoin price will definitely go above 100k. If you look at the Bitcoin price chart for the last few days, you can see that the price of Bitcoin has increased amazingly in the last few days. So you invest and hold without panicking. And never think to selling.

Even if one tends to sell, it depends on how much they must've accumulated and hold overtime. Though there have been some misconceptions about investing in bitcoin and some other coins but just so they know Bitcoin is the way out and moreso the price of Bitcoin will always change and at such affect the market trends.so no need to panic while buying and don't sell loss cause of some panic attacks of the price change.
You have spoken well. Self-correction in Bitcoin investment is a hot topic. The main reason why many people lose confidence in controlling market movements is because they are not able to control themselves properly. Bitcoin is a long-term investment. It is important to keep this in mind. It turns out that the price of Bitcoin suddenly reached $200K or $300K, so you cannot decide to sell. You must wait for one or two cycles to pass. If you cannot hold Bitcoin for two cycles, then you will be deprived of the real taste of Bitcoin. Do not panic, but invest regularly with patience and also arrange to hold alternative funds to solve your current problems.
Actually, Bitcoin is not something that will suddenly increase in value so much, you may be wrong concept. Bitcoin will not make you suddenly rich. Investing can be a great progress for you if you can stick with it. I am saying that regular Bitcoin from discretionary income and occasional frontloading will show positive amounts in your portfolio according to the cycle. Depending on the market movement and demand, you should maintain a steady focus on your goal, have a backup fund and a floating fund for single buy during each dips season. If you hold two cycles, you may not get the expected results from Bitcoin and the possibility of being satisfied. It may be reasonable to have more than one more cycle in regular accumulation to fully enjoy the taste.

Even though we cannot count on or even expect bitcoin to suddenly make us rich, each of us shoudl be prepared for outrageous Upwaard scenarios that could end up playing out.

In 2015 guys who had largely invested by that time, ended up experiencing a 78x increase in their wealth between late 2015 and late 2017, and even though BTC prices corrected back down to $4k to $6k in 2018, these guys would have had still been 16x to 24x better off in 2018/2019, even accounting for the correction, and if they held onto their BTC since then, they would have continued to experience upward movements in their wealth even if they might have felt that they had not invested enough prior to 2015 so maybe they would have had continued to buy bitcoin at higher prices even with their profit levels from the earlier rise.

A similar thing is true in 2021, since if guys had largely accumulated bitcoin prior to 2019, they would have had experienced around a 16.5x price appreciation between early 2019 and various times in 2021, and even if they suffered through the 2022 fall in BTC prices, even at the bottom of the 2022 fall in BTC prices, those guys who had accumulated their bitcoin prior to 2019, they would have had still been more than 4x in profits.

There are no guarantees of similar upward price moves in the future, even though surely many of us can appreciate that bitcoin's investment thesis and even its potentials for upward explosiveness cannot be ruled out, which also continues to justify accumulating bitcoin as early as possible and holding it and maybe even continuing to accumulate bitcoin until a guy gets to a place of having enough bitcoin or more than enough bitcoin.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

It is important for a person to maintain his investment as well as to have financial management. If a person cannot manage his financial management properly then his investment is very risky. Because if he cannot manage his money properly then many things can happen that can lead to a lot of debt. So besides investment, having financial management is very important.

Even though the Bitcoin market is very volatile. You can never tell when what will happen. Although we cannot expect that it will suddenly make us Dhoni. We should always focus on buying and should never look at the price. Because if a new person looks at the price then he may get scared. Because the Bitcoin market is very volatile the market can go up and down at any time. So we should just keep buying

Bitcoin fluctuations make newbies more afraid because the rapid changes in the market affect them mentally. In addition, newbies do not have sufficient savings or their own funds, so when the price drops, they start selling out of fear of losses. Another reason is that most new investors enter the market without a clear plan, which results in losses. For this reason, new investors should first create a clear plan and invest in small amounts through DCA rather than investing in large amounts at first. Be patient with market fluctuations and follow logic and plan instead of relying on emotions.

In life generally, as long as it comes to finance, once you are too lose and you can't manage your finances properly, you will always runs into problem not just Bitcoin investment, because it's good money management skills that will help you to figuring out how to set aside your emergency funds, reserve funds and money used in investing in Bitcoin, so if you can't get it right, you might have a lot of problems along the line.

You don't have to get scared as long as you are only thinking long term, Bitcoin will always be volatile and getting scared because of a dip is mostly done by newbies, not those that really knows that it's one of the characteristics of Bitcoin, so just buy regardless of it present price, in years to come, you will be very happy that you acted now that it's still very cheap.

This is a pure example that despite the dip to go around selling off your bitcoin holding ,because you are only selling in losses . And the painful part is not the losses is the opportunity you gonna miss in a long run , but if you keep accumulating despite the dip ( buying the dip while accumulating) , you positioning yourself for any opportunity in bitcoin holding for long term .

Actually, Bitcoin is not something that will suddenly increase in value so much, you may be wrong concept. Bitcoin will not make you suddenly rich. Investing can be a great progress for you if you can stick with it. That’s another thing that makes bitcoin unique bitcoin usually takes its time to increase in value but when the time comes its move with flash , just like months back bitcoin was around $78k and folks thought we where heading to $60k and below , but guess what was the opposite bitcoin shoot to the price range of $112k , and those who sold in fear will later regret their actions and will start waiting for opportunity to buy back cheaper without no guarantees of bitcoin  going to dip to such range again or anything .

Why would Investors even be panicking anytime their is a dip in the market in this present age and time?
It is very human naturally. Please tell me that you were not panic with your very first months in this market and very first market crash experience. You can tell that you are no longer panic with market crashes now and in future, but in the past when you were a newbie here, I am sure you were panic no matter how you believed in Bitcoin.

Quote
Because in my own opinion it's only newbies investors that knows nothing on how Bitcoin operate that will be acting as such, those that have known that the price of Bitcoin dipping is part of the characteristics of Bitcoin shouldn't be bothered, talkless of selling in panic, but anyway, not everyone is seeing things the same way, some people are just too myopic to look at Bitcoin from the bigger picture, they are only looking at it from a very short term instead of looking at what it's capable off on the longer run.
You can be well prepared in knowledge from your research before your investment debut but lack of experience, you are still a newbie in this market. As a newbie who has no experience or lack of enough experience, you are very vulnerable to market wild volatility. It's understandable if a newbie does a panic sell when facing with a first market crash.

Quote
Finally, the dip is an opportunity that should be utilized properly to accumulate more Bitcoin not a time to panic as most newbies investors do.
True. Practically, experienced investors can take advantage of market crashes, dips but newbies often wasted very first dips until a time when they are expereinced enough, have diamond hands for holding their current bitcoin, then they will be able to take advantage of dips for smart accumulations.

True. Practically, experienced investors can take advantage of market crashes, dips but newbies often wasted very first dips until a time when they are expereinced enough, have diamond hands for holding their current bitcoin, then they will be able to take advantage of dips for smart accumulations.
This is why it's advisable that newbies who are scared of getting into bitcoin investment due to the volatile nature of bitcoin and lack of confidence on bitcoin should start their bitcoin investment with a little amount of money as low as $10 so that you can be investing and having more experience in the market. When you use a little amount of money to invest , and there is a dip, you wouldn't panic to the point of selling your bitcoin because it's a little amount of money that you don't care if you lose it.

If the new investor have started learning more and start understanding how the volatile nature of bitcoin is as he is investing with DCA weekly, he will know that after a dip, the price will bounce back and after several experience, this will strengthen him and increase his confidence in bitcoin. He can increase his weekly DCA after one year and start investing aggressively because he has a better understanding about bitcoin and good confidence.

Alot of people started investing with very little amount of money using DCA just to understand and know more about bitcoin investment before they could grow their portfolio to s substantial size amd hodli overtime. The important thing is that you should use only your discretionary income to invest in bitcoin so that you can build and grow your bitcoin investment overtime without panic since any money that you put into bitcoin is a forgotten money.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to "non-custodial"

Even though I frequently suggest for anyone, including newbies, to invest as aggressively as they are able to do, without overdoing it, if newbies are becoming emotional about their bitcoin investment, then they are overdoing it.  There is a need to find a balance in terms of how much to invest into bitcoin and to be able to continue with the plan and to continue to buy - whether it is $10 per week, $100 per week or some other amount that is not going to cause concern whether the BTC price goes up, down or sideways... and then also, like many of us frequently suggest, there is value to be able to be continuing to invest for 4-10 years or longer and to measure progress at various points along the way and to determine the extent to which any tweaks to the BTC accumulation strategies and/or practices should be made.

There likely is some challenges in regards to getting through a whole cycle of BTC accumulation (like 4 years), and perhaps if the guy had also been engaged in attempts to learn more about bitcoin along the way, then 4 years of buying bitcoin and studying bitcoin may well end up putting such guy in a position of better comfort with his allocation and his potentially ongoing accumulation practices that may well evolve at some point from accumulation of BTC to maintenance of the BTC portfolio.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

it is true that it is natural for new investors to panic sell their btc when the btc price drops, and usually they sell their btc and continue to buy it back when the btc price has fallen deeper than the price when they sold it. but of course in my opinion doing this is very risky because of course we can't necessarily buy it back as expected. and of course usually people who panic sell are usually those who intend to invest in the short term. but in my opinion it would be better to just hold it if the btc price drops because of course investing in btc will not be possible to lose if it is for the long term.

yes of course for people who can take advantage of the decline in btc of course they will have great potential to get profit by buying it and of course for people who can hold btc will also have the potential not to experience loss as long as they can hold it until they can get big profit.

Source: Binance

currently the btc price is falling and of course we shouldn't be afraid and of course very lucky for those who are doing dca at today's price. yes even though buying btc does not look at the btc price, of course if you buy btc today there are certainly more benefits. spirit for those who dca.  Cheesy
For beginners who do not understand this and panic selling is a mistake that will be regretted later, but the positive side is that what has happened is a valuable lesson in an investment that they will make in the future.

Overall, we can see how someone can panic sell even though the price correction that occurs is not that deep and the graph from the last few months also shows an increase without a drastic decrease, so there is no reason for those of us who already understand this to panic sell, in fact this is the right time to buy again to add assets to the portfolio or hold on to what is there.

For long-term investment, I think no matter how much Bitcoin costs, we don't need to care, we only need to focus on the strategy we use to collect Bitcoin, but for short-term investment or taking profits in a short period of time with a worthy risk, I think entering now when the Bitcoin price is slightly corrected is the right step.

it is true that beginners who sell btc when the price is falling will indeed make a loss if they sell their btc at a lower price compared to the price when they bought it, but of course if that happens, it is true that they will regret it, especially when the btc price goes up again after the btc that was sold at a low price goes up again. but it is true that in your opinion, of course the positive side is that he will learn from experience and eventually make himself not do the same thing again. and of course experience is a very valuable teacher, so of course for people who do not give up investing in btc because they experience losses, of course they will learn from their experience and certainly do not want to experience losses again. but of course for people who give up easily, of course they are usually discouraged because they lose and eventually fail to become successful btc investors. but hopefully with this discussion, beginners can be aware and think well which can eventually become successful btc investors.

but yes, currently the price of btc is being corrected and of course it is true for those who want to invest in the short term in btc, of course this is the right moment to buy, but of course the risk will be worth it. but if you want to invest in the long term in btc right now, of course it is more solid because btc is on discount again now, of course the price of btc is down even more.

I like how you presented your point, but I think you should have itemized or included those plannings you are advising that potential new investors should subject themselves into before they can invest in bitcoin. It is not just enough to say that they should make proper planning without giving them tips on where or on what they should plan towards, so that when potential new investors are going through this thread and come across this your post, it will be more helpful to them. Well adding to it, I think one major area I think that needs planning the most is the area of financing. Potential investors should make sure that their source of financing is sustainable prior to starting their bitcoin investment journey.

Definitely, investor should consider seeking for a consistent source of income that will cater for their basic need and also have some spear cash left that fraction of it could also be used for bitcoin accumulation using the DCA strategy.  As new investors, there is no point starting up your accumulation journey aggressively when you don't have a consistent flow of income, newbies who take this approach are prone to selling off their coins prematurely on loss because of volatility whereas, the major bullish trends can be experienced more when you hold for long period of time. If anyone seeks to make investments in bitcoin, they should work on getting a consistent paying job first, in cases where by they have jobs but the pay isn't sufficient enough to cater for all of their needs and also for investment, then they should also get a side hustle or extra jobs.

It is not a must that the source of income must be regular, some people get money on a periodic state and not the normal regular, monthly or weekly pay we are exposed to. Some people are contractors and their finances follows no definite pattern to arrive, but they do make a good living and have discretionary incomes, so they can leverage on the presence of discretionary income and follow up his accumulation journey in bitcoin, while the person with consistent income source can still follow up with his own discretionary income as soon as it is available.

With accurate cashflow management and a good mentality, anyone can follow up their accumulation journey and have a good stash of bitcoin as long as they have discretionary income present which they would utilize in buying bitcoin and building out backup funds to support their bitcoin portfolio.

I totally agree with you because there is no amount of knowledge a newbie we have that he or she won't be drive or shaked by market fluctuation because they are still fresh to the game. However, you don't have to generalize it that newbie don't have a sufficient savings or their own funds because some newbie has and they are aware of the fact that Bitcoin investment demands a moderate source of income in order to push forward, so anyone without sufficient savings and their own funds is not doing the right thing and such they can be cut up anytime while investing in Bitcoin. Plan is a vital thing in any investment, failure to plan Is planing to fail.

What do you think makes someone a newbie? It's mostly ignorance or lack of deep knowledge about something, if an individual in Bitcoin investment knows all it takes to invest and hold for a very long time, guy that person is no longer a newbie, because he has all the required knowledge to succeed.
So wether a person is just starting to invest in Bitcoin or not, he will never be shaken by market fluctuation when he knows it all on how Bitcoin operate generally.

That's right, those who panic when the market goes down a bit are not long-term investors. Long-term investors never panic when the market falls, rather they try to buy more bitcoins. In fact long-term investors do not focus on the market, their goal is to hold investments for a long time and continue investing in the DCA method. Now to invest in Bitcoin you should plan long term, if you plan short term you may face loss instead of profit. Short-term investors will never succeed, investing in Bitcoin requires long-term planning.
Their have never been a crime for seeing the price of bitcoin dropping down which gives people opportunities to buy cheap, in every market position it always leave two type of reaction those who will panic sell and those who will take advantage of the market, for those who have money to buy they will use they opportunity to buy from those who have little faith on what they invested their money on, even when price of bitcoin goes up their are also those who sell off in every bit of price increase and their are those who just seat and wait no matter the condition of the market they don’t react to it.

The fact that someone knows all it takes to invest and hold for a very long time  doesn't mean that person can not be seen as a newbie, knowing how Bitcoin works and how to hold doesn't mean you have arrived in Bitcoin investment rather what shows that a person is not longer a newbie is, discipline, maturity and sometimes experience in Bitcoin investment. If some great investors do shake because of dip sometimes then is it a newbie that just joined or venture into Bitcoin investment new that won't be carried away and moreover, knowing all it takes doesn't guarantee your success in Bitcoin investment perhaps you don't understand what Sotelorene is talking about.
