I want to believe that you are referring to bitcoin. Therefore, if you think long term, you are in the buy and hold period. If you think short term you are in the panic and sell period.

This bull run will last many months and it's time for you to buy if you react as an investor and plan to spend your money for investment in more than 6 months or 1 year.

Buying and holding it, don't selling it around this time. It's not time for selling Bitcoin.

That's the normal thing in the market. You buy when you're able to buy and decide until how long you're going to hold it. And the same goes for selling, you sell at the rate that you're satisfied and no matter what happens next will be out of your control. You have no control over the market so if you sell and then suddenly it pumps, what's the matter with that? You'll regret because you've sold too early? That's normal because not everyone that sells are selling at the top and no one knows if it's the top already. That's why plan all of your activities whether you'll buy or sell, as long as you're able to plan that, no regrets afterwards for any decision that you do.

I have also heard and experienced both situations that you said, the way to overcome them is to use management, you must have a buying and selling target when you invest in a coin, this will make you wiser in making choices. Then about whether now is the time to sell or buy, if you've bought crypto before the new year, I think this is the time for you to sell your coins (including bitcoin) if you're profit-oriented.

It depends on what type of person (investor) you are. There are those who we call day traders, and they are looking for an opportunity for profit every day, and significant price changes in a very short period of time are something positive for them. For example, if you bought 1 BTC yesterday for $60k+, you could already sell it today for almost $68k, which is more than a great profit - now imagine what kind of profits those who trade with tens or hundreds of BTC make.

If you are an investor who invests for the long term, then any time is good for investment - even though investing during a bull run will not bring even close to the same profit compared to the profit that could be made if you invested during a bear market.

Maybe that's our problem when we invest in any coin and constantly check the price of what we buy and can't hold our emotions. There are many of us investors who invest for the long term and many who invest for the short term. Yesterday I also invested in bitcoin for a short period of time by selling when bitcoin was touching $69k and buying when it hit $63k.

Moreover, if one is a long-term investor, he can buy bitcoins at any time and wait until the bull market begins to earn his profits.

it depends from situation to situation because if you have bought Bitcoin at the time when it was trading at the price of $16k so sure you will book some of your profit here where bitcoin has recently broken its last all-time high so it may be called a selling zone for those early investors but not sell 100% of amount here because this bull season is going to be very special in my opinion. I also booked some profit when Bitcoin hit the price of $68k. I book here with the intention of buying back and it is my goal. setting your own goal is important before entering in the market.

On the other hand, if you are investing on the current time frame then it is obvious it is holding time for you to generate profit on your investments. this is the trend/bullish zone of the market where you will see a lot of money entering in the market which will make it even more bullish. But the thing is that the Halving event is on the way so we may experience a correction in the coming time frame according to the history/behavior of the Bitcoin market. The problem is how you can determine on when to buy and also when to sell? Since easy to say we should buy at that rate but we surely don't know if we can handle some situation especially if the market decline also same as when selling since there are times that a trader would want for more profit then unwanted scenario came up and instead gaining they lose because of their greed. Much better if you do a lot of research to learn about trading since nothing will happen if you just read without understanding the whole process.

And for sure you can learn a lot especially when you learn about the basic and enhance your skills in trading by learning do to technical analysis. This is though to learn but consistency towards learning the whole process will result to positive and you can determine or set some plan on when you buy and when to sell your bought crypto's.

Some people find bitcoin very interesting when the price is increasing steadily, this is the time they would really want to invest because of imagination of the profits to gain if bitcoin is invested as  the price is increasing. The mistake some people normally make in bitcoin is to wait for the bull season before investing and this is just selfishness because the only reason for this is just to make money quick from bitcoin.

Bitcoin is volatile and unpredictable,  this period people should not be selfish and go into the market with amount that they can't afford to lose. The increase of price of bitcoin should not be a reason for one to invest all they have or the amount that can't be afford to lose.

That was a pretty common mistake I guess, of the traders especially newbies or beginner traders end up selling their investments since they just doesnt have enough experience and knowledge on how they are going to manage their investments in cryptocurrency, Like what is happening in the market today, a lot of beginner traders for sure are buying right now which is probably pretty high considering we are already or we already reach the All time high of Bitcoin market price, I mean it wasn't really a good time to buy at a time like this, but still, it wasn't a wrong move I guess, but the thing for newbies is getting there emotions on the trade, when they see their investment depreciate they just can't stand it and always end up selling on a loss in the end. If you are going to think of it even though the market value drops your volume is still going to be the same, so in terms of volume you didn't lose anything like if it is 1 Bitcoin when the market price drops, it is still 1 Bitcoin. So the bottom line is you're not going to lose anything if you're just not going to sell.

So what we needed to do is just to not rush anything, if we just always buy low and sell on high we are always going to end up getting a profit on it, But the main problem is newbies are rushing to make a profit because they just doesnt have the financial foundation yet to sustain investment, they always make it there main source of income, what they need to learn is be patient go long term if you can't sell at a profit today.

Well said, but we need to consider some factors as well that may hinder the making of such decision as you have highlighted already, we know that not every investors are investing at the same time, some could afford holding long while some couldn't because of the circumstances that surrounds their investment time frame, some may even change their decision on holding when things get more tougher on them and could help than selling at a particular moment.

The best time for buying is at low price and I think if you sell your coins with profit then you should not regret after Fluctuations in coin price because you have already taken your profit so ready to make another step instead of regret about past.

If you are in doubt about other coin then just buy bitcoin now and don't sell until you achieved your target. Well, that just shows that the market is unpredictable.

You can't time the market because it's very unpredictable. You might see it's price going up for a few hours then suddenly, it will go down. Just look at Bitcoin's price a few days ago when the Coinbase anomaly happened. It went down from I think around $68,000 to nearly $59,000 in just a span of a few minutes.

What's my take on what's happening right now? We're in a time where we need to wait for the market to correct before entering. We have been seeing the market going up for days already, and I don't see any reason for me to enter the market when the market is on the green. I mean we want to buy coins at a lower price, so it's better to just wait until the market corrects then that's the time for us to buy.
