I agree with the idea of preparation but when it comes force it's not nice at all. The goal is to teach your kids how money works plus investments and why they are better than regular average jobs. The truth is if you really want to help kids in such aspect, all you have to do is expose them to different opportunities including programming and business. Then you can allow them choose what they enjoy doing then you as a parent can help them perfect it.
Kids excel most when they are not forced but rather enjoy what they do.
Dear, you have really raised a good point here i am agree with you. This is so true if you do like a work that your elders or parents have says you to do you will feel it a burden and this thing lead us to stress and we do not feel comfortable in such domain and never enjoy our life. We should play our part just by addressing them to the right path/opportunities then it should be totally up to them which domain they would like to work in. In this way, they will enjoy their life along with their earning and you will see them grooming fastly. let's say we have forcefully appointed our children with such a domain they do not like and this thing makes them rigid and they will start to disobey us. We need to understand our children and advise/address them in a polite way so they will pick up our sayings easily.

Therefore the best option I suggest is to prepare your children in cryptocurrency investment so that they will not depend on government or private sectors jobs but will create jobs for the society through cryptocurrency investment. Like many have done it from their bitcoin investment. They have opened Boutique, Barbing Salon, Restaurant fast food shops, Food Items Shop, Land and Fish Farms etc. And for that instead of seeking for jobs, they provide jobs for others and they become employers of labour.
You need money to make money, and you can't really teach your children to become a millionaire with a $500 starting capital, because if that was possible, you could just make yourself a billionaire. And crypto investment isn't really a good money making method for everyone, there's so many scams and the volatility of the market makes a lot of investors broke. Or are you suggesting that children should live off crypto investment of their parents? Even that isn't so easy, because you need to have a lot of crypto, and all of that crypto should be Bitcoin, as other coins will die eventually; and it doesn't come without a risk - what if Bitcoin crashes in the future? What are they going to do without education, career and any money-making skills in general?

And who will work in these " Boutique, Barbing Salon, Restaurant fast food shops, Food Items Shop, Land and Fish Farms etc"? "Millions of graduates with 1st class degrees"? If everyone becomes BTC-investors and millionaires after your advice, then there will be no one left to work. By opening all of the above businesses, don’t BTC-investors become the very capitalists you criticize above? Therefore prepare them for bitcoin investment and not to be job seekers. I have said this before.
Don't need to look for a job, need to create it. Bitcoin can help with this by allowing to accumulate start-up capital, but investing in this will take time to increase the money invested. And what to do in the interval between investing (note, which also requires money) and making a profit sufficient to open " Boutique, Barbing Salon, Restaurant fast food shops, Food Items Shop, Land and Fish Farms etc"? How will your children live on during this period? For what means of subsistence? In addition to government jobs, there are jobs (" Boutique, Barbing Salon, Restaurant fast food shops, Food Items Shop, Land and Fish Farms etc") that are created by people like you, with the only difference being that they opened their businesses without investing in bitcoin, but, for example, with borrowed money. So how is this different from your version?

The idea for children to invest in cryptocurrency is good since it is something that will be of good benefits to them in the future but right now it is not every family that has the amount of money to invest in cryptocurrency as the world is going through a lot as a result of inflation going with the price of Bitcoin it is not every parent who can afford the amount to invest in Bitcoin before thinking of encouraging their children to invest because directly or indirectly it is the parents of the child that will raise the money for the investment since the child doesn't have money of his or her own at the moment. I 5hink it is very important for us to consider the financial aspect before advising parents to encourage their children to invest because Bitcoin investments is not a total guarantee that someone will become a millionaire today or tomorrow because it's not a Ponzi scheme.

You're getting things mixed up. First, Bitcoin is not a messiah that will wipe out poverty and secondly, bitcoin investment is not a job. It does not involve waking up very early in the morning and running to catch a bus to work. All it entails is to get a good wallet, buy your bitcoin, store it and go to bed while it appreciates in value. What I'm trying to say is that you can be working whether in the public or private sector and still be a bitcoin investor, you don't have to quit one for the other.

Government jobs or jobs, in general, may not have sufficient salaries to create a prosperous future. Still, in the end, they will provide a stable source of income, even if it is not lucrative, and one should not rely solely on Bitcoin investment without providing an additional source of income, as the profits they will make in Bitcoin may not come overnight; it may take months or years. However, teaching them about the cryptocurrency field and preparing them for Bitcoin investment from a young age is a good idea to solidify ideas and knowledge in their minds as they grow up, making it easier for them in the future. Once they have gained sufficient experience and knowledge and strongly believe in Bitcoin's ability to make them businessmen, they can embark on their investment journey, which I know they will not regret one day embarking on. When they succeed in this journey, they will undoubtedly be able to manage a new business that suits their aspirations and experience and can eventually quit their jobs. Bitcoin BTC is the best investment known in history.

I get your points OP, but it's something not too necessary taking as priority. Bitcoin investment or trading is not a well recognized job whereas some countries are beginning to place restrictions. It is very much important to get a formal education, come out with good grades and wait for any slight opportunity to getting a job either government or private. On a normal basics, why not do a combination of both, it is much better and would not in any way interfere.

I think a much better way to say it is that, we prepare our children to be totally independent of government jobs, or any job where they will have to earn a salary, so rather, they should be their own bosses by establishing and managing their one businesses and so on. For this is because, for a person who is not working and earning a salary to be able to invest in bitcoin and in cryptocurrencies in general, he or she has to have a dependable and reliable source of income, a graduate without a good source of income can't successfully invest in cryptocurrenciea because making making money here requires a lot of time and patience.
So, when someone comes out from school, their first priority should be to build a business through which they can be earning good money, and they can invest part of that money in cryptocurrencies so they can get even high return to the future, to enable them expand their business and even build new ones.

I think the right word to use in this contest instead of prepared, it should be motivate because when you say prepare your children for Bitcoin, it sounds and looks as if you are trying to force Bitcoin on your kids, and that is not a good approach if you want them to truly develop the motivation to push through with bitcoin and a journey. But if you use the world, motivate, it sounds more friendly and less forcing in my own view and that will help build the confidence of the kids since they will be in charge of deciding whether to pick interest in Bitcoin or not, and by so doing, your own as a parent is to support your kids to achieve that success.

I think OP is speaking from his experience in his home country, which I can relate to. In these kind of economies, it’s advisable to engage in technical skills or skilled trade or craft. However, this cannot work for everyone, there are those who love the academic route and have zero interest in learning anything else. Getting an university degree isn’t bad, getting good jobs is a lot easier when you have a first class degree. This discussion takes my mind to a topic in bitcoin discussion: 5.0 CGPA or 5 BTC.

This is good advice if the person has the funds to open a business. What if the person doesn't have it? It isn't bad to attend schools to have the basic knowledge of everything. It does not harm to get employed, paid, save, and at the end open their own business that accept cryptocurrency specifically Bitcoin. Life isn't like magic where with just a single word everything happens. Everything in life is a process, if one does not have a fund to open up a business, one need to get employed to be able to support their needs and look for extra jobs to save money to hasten their capability to setup their own business. It is not bad to get employed for the goal of opening an owned business. I think a much better way to say it is that, we prepare our children to be totally independent of government jobs, or any job where they will have to earn a salary, so rather, they should be their own bosses by establishing and managing their one businesses and so on. One need to take a job to earn money especially when a person does not come from a wealthy family. From that, he can either save money or invest from the extra of his salary. Let learning from formal education be a stepping stone to establishing one's financial independence. It is much better than ignoring the importance of education. Even if the person's priority is to be his business owner, if he does not have the money to setup his own business, he has no other way but to be an employee first and, later a boss of his own. So, when someone comes out from school, their first priority should be to build a business through which they can be earning good money, and they can invest part of that money in cryptocurrencies so they can get even high return to the future, to enable them expand their business and even build new ones.
Depends on that graduate's financial capability. If he has the money then he can setup his own business but it isn't advisable to jump ahead to create one business without knowing the all around of the business a person wanted to set up. Getting employed has its benefits, and that is the experience and learnings one can accumulate being an employee of the same venture he planned to.

Op you have spoken well except the topic were you made it seem as though parents should disregard government jobs and focus their children on just cryptocurrency. There you are wrong because, before you begin your Bitcoin accumulation journey, you must first have a source of income other than cryptocurrency as it may fail you. So one cannot start investing and keep it running without a job, if you try it, you might end up withdrawing all your Bitcoin when emergencies arise. When you have a good source of income and your into Bitcoin accumulation it will make everything easy, that is if you have also set aside emergency funds that can sustain you for at least 3 to 6 months. As a parent, if you create a wallet for your child when they are still young and start accumulating some Satoshi, when the child grows up, you could just introduce him fully to cryptocurrency and hand over the seed phrase to him for him to keep accumulating, when he gets a job, that is a great step as a father/ mother because we can tell what the future holds, it's possible before your child grows up 1 Bitcoin will equal $500k so now is the best time to even start accumulating to pass to your next generation.

Nope, I will still prepare my children to have a discipline and learn a good skill, be the best at what they do, then money will follow. Crypto and Bitcoin is just a form of payment and investment you will still need to earn money before getting any of them. And crypto is still a secondary knowledge and needs, and the information is everywhere now, they wouldn't miss it. But without discipline attitude and skill, even if they have all knowledge about crypto and bitcoin but if they lack of skills and discipline they would still suffer. I wouldn't care wether they worked for government, private company or even having their own business as entrepreneur as long as they good at what they do, they should be fine.

I'm not against what you said because, after all, I don't want to be an employee either. I will just say my own opinion regarding this one. This is the reason why I prefer being a freelancer rather than somebody working in either the government or the private sector. The number of graduates is increasing every single year while on the other hand, the number of job slots isn't increasing or worse, decreasing every year. I've seen graduates who are working on a job that isn't in line with their degree. I've seen people who are constantly finding jobs even though they graduated already. I've seen people living from one place to another place because that is the only place where there's a job slot. Worse, I've seen people who graduated, but have a hard time having a job, and until now are jobless. Relying on government to secure a job is almost impossible unless you have somebody who will help you. Now about investing, I just don't know why you single-pointed out Bitcoin investment alone. Are other asset classes not worthy of investing anymore? Why not just say "Prepare your children for investing." Yes, we are in a Bitcointalk forum, say to us to prepare our children for investing in Bitcoin because it sounds like Bitcoin is the only investment out there. I understand what you're saying, but rephrase it, and use investing in general.

That's the most stupidest thing I have read as a Title in years on this forum. How can you compare investing in an asset with working for someone? Investment and Job aren't to be compared. They are two different things. You need money to buy Bitcoin or atleast mine Bitcoin if you don't want to buy them from the market. Educating a child about Bitcoin is a great way to have them informed about something you are heavily involved or invested in, but how are they going to buy Bitcoin without money?

I think, this is a good advice that will help parents to have wealthy children that will not depend on government before they can do what so ever they want to do to get rich in the country. Training your children to acquire the knowledge of cryptocurrency at their age now, it will make the children not to depend too much in you either school fees or house rent which are the major thing students use to ask their parents for assistance so that their landlord or school management will not send them away in the premises. I have this idea in mind some years ago, that once my children are approaching 16 or 17 years old, I will begin to teach them all the things they need to know about cryptocurrency investment and how they can use it to grow their wealth in the future.

Why do I hear it sounds like a very forced choice? Cultivating a life or death crypto culture is not the best solution at the moment (even if we manage to make huge profits from cryptocurrencies). What I love most about the world of finance is how money works. There are still lots of opportunities that our children can take advantage of in the future, whether they want to be a football player, an oil businessman, whatever they don't have to be as a trader or crypto investor, it doesn't matter to parents, the important thing is that they are successful financially in the future.
We must look at other opportunities as well as diversify our efforts to achieve our goals. The cryptocurrency field can indeed be one opportunity, but it is not the only one.

Don't do this, really bad parenting in my opinion even if the intent is pure, I think that grooming your kid to like what you like isn't really the best way to raise a kid, it just makes you look like you're trying to build yourself a clone so your dreams back then, they can achieve for you. The best that you can do is to teach them the worth of every cents and that they should be aware of how to do an investment, do some introductions there on different investments and there you can talk about how you've invested in bitcoin but don't force them into it, preparation sounds like you're forcing them to like what you like. Let's also face the reality that they're going to need a job so they can secure themselves financially so even if we try to avoid it, they're going to need it so why not just teach them anyway? I don't think that when you teach them bitcoin investment, that they don't have to learn how to get a job. It's weird why we're so obsessed at dichotomy when there's also the choice of doing both, I don't think that there's a grand arbiter that's going to be punishing you for choosing both choices since they're both doable.

You should not force your children to do what they want to do when they grow up, whether they want to do a job or be a businessperson. I have seen cases where family members want their children to be police officers, but their children do not like it. They want to play cricket and be sportsmen. But you should guide your kids on which one will be good for them and tell them the negative and the positive side as well.
When it comes to investment, you could suggest to them about Bitcoin and tell them the positive side of Bitcoin investment. But, you should not force them to invest in Bitcoin because it should be up to themself weather they want to invest or not.

Don't do this, really bad parenting in my opinion even if the intent is pure, I think that grooming your kid to like what you like isn't really the best way to raise a kid, it just makes you look like you're trying to build yourself a clone so your dreams back then, they can achieve for you. -snip-
Yes, first of all let the children be children and when they grow up, let them choose their own path. Apart from that, I'm curious which country the OP is talking about, because in most countries in Europe, for example, of I'm not wrong (this is the case in Spain at least), population is not rising but, on the contrary, A generational change is expected in the coming years in Government jobs. On the other hand, what he said about cars, houses... doesn't fit with the principle of austerity of these jobs in many (most?) democratic regimes. Finally, he advocates choosing crypto over a public career. But why not both? are they incompatible?
