I think its aside from the fact that they probably consider marketing through this method which is letting the masses do the deed for them in spreading the information to be more plausible and a lot more effective, since you know this way you could also make the project found its fans and faithful supporter, I think it also works as a way to decentralized the entire token distribution and select only the deserving people to get that allocation which often times counted as contributor of the project within the early stage by doing testing and promotional tasks.
this way even if the project is heavily invested by the venture capitals, all the coin won't just get centralized into one place which is the venture capital wallet, but also spreading across various early contributor to increase active wallet amount.
it does seem to be the trend of marketing strategy nowaday, letting the audience of the marketing be the one that do the marketing, on the other hand, it gives back to the community so its a win-win solution.

but of course despite all that advantage there's also disadvantage where the project teams decided to screw people that have done the marketing for them and just making excuse to not distribute the supposed allocation to the people according to their previous promise and literally tricking community into doing all the marketing for them for free.

I'll agree with you that airdrop projects are depended on a 50/50 either participants would profit out of it or not. The only factor of airdrop being attractive is that it doesn't require participants funding. So you can imagine a platform with potential claims of providing profits demanding participants funds but on 50/50 bargains to make profit, of course it'd be a dead gone so soon project. That's equivalent to the MemeCoins.

I disagree with you here. There had been multiple number of coins that has been listed in the exchanges and was later delisted simply because the coin doesn't have a value and the developers weren't devoted enough to make provisions for to evaluate the coin. Exchange would only provide the coin with community visibility and contributes to a wide spread and doesn't signify that exchange listing a coin has authenticated it to be valuable.

The third point above I think does not only apply to airdrop participants, like me, you and all of us here who have or have not invested are also more or less required in this regard and for points 1 and 2 above also seem to be major items that must be explored before participating in their campaigns.

I have to say that the best way to go with airdrops is to think that you are not going to make any money at all, and then if you ever do then be happy with it. yes, I agree if the airdrop gives us enough income. because I participated in lots of airdrops and it really gave me quite a high income because I experienced it myself. although there are some airdrops that do not pay and are also not listed on the exchange. and we are required to have a lot of patience when participating in the airdrop.

No doubt some airdrops,to say very precisely too little, do provide nice amount when executed/done by serious and talented team. But it doesn't mean all airdrop coins are worthy enough to collect doing different set of efforts and even after collecting those are worthless as it can't be traded nowhere.
