I greet you, I want to point out the following problem I am having with the HitBtc website. As a result of this "inactivity fees" about which I was not informed in any way, and when I agreed to create my account on this exchange there was no such problem, I was left without more than half of the only coins I had on the exchange, namely BitCore BTX. The problem is the following, on 10-10-2023 I was charged for the first time with this inactivity fee and a considerable number of coins were practically STOLEN FROM MY WALLET. WHY STOLEN??? BECAUSE THE SITE HAS BLOCKED WITHDRAWALS for BTX long before 10-10-2023. Practically, my coins were STOLEN considering that I was not given the opportunity to withdraw them from the exchange that was stealing from me. Thank you and I hope you will help me in solving the problem and that I can recover my STOLEN coins. I paid them a lot and now they were evaluated to me close to zero.
GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK !!!
I am sorry if I post in a wrong place!

If you have been on this forum some years ago, you will not want to use HitBTC because it was not a reputable exchange, having high transaction fee, freezing customers account at anytime and also forcing their customers to do KYC at the time. HitBTC was my second exchange and I left it long ago because too many users on this forum were complaining about the exchange.

Yeah, it was like 2017-2018 where we hear a lot of accusations against this platform. Nevertheless it was one of the first exchange that I trade when I was a beginner that time and everything went smooth on my end and I was very happy to do trades with them. Unfortunately, we hear horror stories about them freezing accounts. I'm not a big trader though, so most likely they didn't target my account. But there are some members who were scams and I was surprised to hear their names again after so many years. Best of luck trying to get back your coins from them.

No sure where you were when the community was cursing about HitBTC. The exchange is a scam and believe me they will not solve your problem. Just check out the price of doge there. It's at $0.01155. Current market price is $0.157
Why is it so? Because the blocked people from withdrawing doge for probably over 4 years, now. You get excited, you rush to buy doge because think it's so cheap there, and you will be able to arbitrage, only to realize you can't withdraw it.

I thought this was an old thread getting an update because HitBtc is such a piece of old news for traders, it seems OP failed to do diligent research on HitBtc and there's nothing we can do on this, HitBtc is notorious like Yobit in scamming their users, traders should leave their platform especially now that we are in a bull run, you will lose all your coins just like what happened to OP if you're still keeping your coins on this scam exchange.

The chance you will get any response from their representative and your problem getting resolved is very low. First, their rep is inactive sicne 2020, second they are known as scam, they even got a shoutout from different known personality in social media like mcaffee and guess what, they are still operating because there are still using them even though they are known to being scam.

The crypto ecosystem is such a wild place. Did you know there is the original HitBTC that scammed their customers and there is the cloned HitBTC that still scammed people. Anyone who doesn't pay attention to detail would fall for both. I think that there is no new scam cryptocurrency exchanges they just recycle themselves, change domain names and continue scamming new set of investors. I also think that there is no new type of scams. It is also recycled in different format but they all have the same modus operandi.

OP you have a similar post in the altcoin section you just copy-paste it, it's a duplicate thread better lock that thread and leave this one open for further discussion Scam called ''INACTIVITY FEES'' - HitBTCYou should also create a format like this What happened::
Scammers Profile Link:
Reference Link: Amount Scammed: Payment Method: Proof of Payment: PM/Chat Logs: Additional Notes:
Unfortunately, the representative of HitBTC is not active here, but this thread will inform other users to leave HitBTC, before something like this happens to them.

Yeah, the same phenomenon has happened at other exchanges with withdrawal problems (like Yobit). I didn't realize HitBTC was still in business, as at least some of these Wild-West-days exchanges have closed down shop for good, e.g., SouthXchange, some others I can't remember, and StakeCube which was but then didn't close for good. Anyway. I am sorry if I post in a wrong place!
You aren't posting in the wrong place, but you are posting a scam accusation in the incorrect format and instead your post just comes off as a rant with no evidence. Try doing it this way. It's good that you're raising an issue about a shady exchange, and I'm sorry you apparently got scammed, but without proof this thread isn't going to help you or anyone else.

Thank you for your answers and support. I contacted them from my personal email, from which I created the hit btc account, and they answered me the following:
Dear Trader,
Thank you for your reply.
I am sorry to tell you that additional time is needed to research your case. I have escalated your request to our team, and we are already looking into this for you. We will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience! -- Best regards, Diana Vargas HitBTC Support Team
I opened this topic so that there are no others in my situation. I wanted to raise an alarm signal regarding these THEFT practices, without giving you the opportunity to withdraw your coins, without being notified in any way of the change in the regulation...

As it has been said above, the situation is unfortunately quite famous here. Since there are doing exactly the same thing with larger coins like Dogecoins whom they allow deposits without displaying any warnings and block withdrawals. Some people are comparing it with Yobit but Hitbtc is worse since Yobit doesn't allow deposits when a wallet is in maintenance and doesn't take inactivity fees.

Another victim who got scammed by Hitbtc. If you spend a little time on this forum to learn about Hitbtc before joining Hitbtc, you will never decide to join an exchange like hitbtc. A few days ago a user posted here that hitbtc has blocked his funds, he still hasn't got the funds back, and it is uncertain whether the user will ever get the funds back. The representative of Hitbtc who was on the forum left the forum a long time ago because his reputation was so bad. So using hitbtc is the most risky.

When it comes to replies like this, I always give enthusiasm to the person that's raising their concern to the platform that they've raised it. But this time, if it's hitbtc, I am sorry to tell you OP that they don't have a good reputation since long time ago. They're really terrible and I guess that they're even kind to reply you on your email telling that they're taking time to investigate on your concern. But sorry, no hopes with that as they're known for being notorious and you'd definitely going to be the luckiest person ever alive if they granted you your request for withdrawal. So, if you're thinking that they're going to give you back your money, they might but I doubt it that it will be the soonest and really terribly sorry for disappointing you but that's truly what hitbtc is like and just expect and consider it as a total loss on your end.

Thank you all for the support. I am confident that I will succeed, not only to withdraw my remaining coins, but also to recover the rest that were stolen. I think that by making everything public maybe something positive will happen, not only for me but also for the other victims.

Good luck with that, you're too optimistic even if they have a bad history on how they handle things. Making some noise through public is actually going to take their attention. Aside from making threads in here, why not also go to their social media accounts and as well as their sub-reddit community? Although based on the posts there, most of them are also concerns and troubles about them: https://www.reddit.com/r/hitbtc/That might give them some knock if ever one representative of them have been lurking into their communities and is able to read concerns like yours.

With such a bad reputation it's sad to see they are still listed on Google, with no warnings and they even have an Android app hosted on Google Play. Google should ban them, along with all social medias platforms, they would certainly be forced to close their doors soon after a move like that. Regulators do not lack imagination in inventing measures against cryptocurrencies users but don't bother to do anything against blatant crypto scammers.

Would it be possible for you to attach any screenshots to at least back up your claim? As matters currently stand, you have created a scam accusation against HitBTC but not provided any evidence. How do we know you are telling the truth? If someone made an allegation against you without providing evidence and people began believing the accuser, how would you feel? HitBTC do not have a good reputation in this forum therefore you will probably not find a single member that supports them but you really should provide evidence of your claim before you get the support and sympathy of the community. Thank you all for the support. I am confident that I will succeed, not only to withdraw my remaining coins, but also to recover the rest that were stolen. Were you able to get your money back? I logged into HITBTC after a while and saw 0.35 ETH missing. I then saw Inactivity fees. I received no notifications for any of these transactions.

have you asked their support about the inactivity fees? I've seen platforms have rules that they will deduct a certain amount of money on an account if it stays dormant for a certain period of time. These kinds of rules are also not exclusive to exchange sites since I've also seen them on online casinos. also, as far as I know, before they start deducting money from an account because of inactivity they will send notifications to the owner that their account is inactive and that money will be deducted from it if it has funds in it.
