I would definitely go for the safe 1 BTC.  I'm not a high roller, and frankly, that gamble sounds terrible. A 2to1 chance is pretty bad. You are more likely to lose than win. 1 BTC is guaranteed, while 5 BTC is just a dream. Not worth the risk, imo.

Thankfully I am not a greedy type, I will take the 1 BTC and walk away, because this 1BTC is enough to turn my future around for the best, many investors can't even buy up to 0.4BTC with all the past months of nonstop DCA, I have been buying bitcoin myself and I've never reached 1 BTC so far, this is the third year of my DCA in Bitcoin, 1 BTC still seem far away.

5BTC sounds very tempting but it's not real, I will have to bet on my luck to get it or not, that's a higher risk I won't dare take and this 1BTC is on the ground, available for doing nothing, I will definitely go for the 1 BTC, I won't even think twice about it.

The greedy ones will likely try the 5BTC and end up with nothing, the chances of winning is very slim here, not worth it..

We are talking about here 1BTC or equivalent to 72K USD. If someone will give this amount right away then I’m sure many will take it unless the game that you offer that will give x5 of the reward will have higher winning chance rate than 20%.

By playing here, do you mean to say that I have to risk my own money to get the 5btc or it is just like I get the chance to win 5btc without risking anything?

It is not even that you will likely gamble and lose, but it is about that you can use part of the 1 BTC to gamble later if you want than to gamble and lose and the 5 BTC and not also collect the 1 BTC. This is just wisdom to be applied to know that gambling to win more is foolishness while just collect 1 BTC is a wise idea.

I know myself as not so much a risk taker, so permit me for accepting the 1btc right away. There is a chance and probability for me to win the 5btc if I gamble and take the risk, but there's also the chance to fail. Since I do not have one Bitcoin right now, I would not want to gamble with the only opportunity that has come my way for me to get one Bitcoin instantly simply because I want five bitcoins. If I want five bitcoins, I have to have or have had one bitcoin before to want more. Yes I am a gambler but a responsible one. I know when to gamble and when not to, I also know that I only have to stake with what is affordable to loose Incase the game is lost.

I know that gambling is a game of luck which one ever way would a prediction be a guaranteed.
I am aware that I can bet more than a 100 times without a single win so, I don't. I would rather go for the 1 BTC offer because that comes with all certainties but the one I will have to play to get comes with so much of uncertainties because with gambling it's always a 50/50 chances and it may never get to be in your favour so you may actually bend up missing the chance whereby you were supposed to get the one and if invested properly you could accumulate the value equal to five after a period of time but then if you are greedy you may want to go for the five which you would have to play for and may risk the chances of loosing everything at once.

Actually I can't call either of them the best decision because there are cases when either of it becomes the best decision. If you gamble for the five and you are lucky enough to win you tend to believe you made the right decision and if you loose it it will seem like you made the right decision and same applies if the reverse happens than you would say you made the right decision so the decision been right is actually relative.

I'm fine with BTC, and I believe in myself that I will be able to grow this amount to more than 5 btc but not in gambling. In reality there will be 2 answers, 1 BTC is a life changing for some people and 1 BTC is worth not that big for certain people.
When you offer this to anyone who only gamble less than 2k per session, most of them will take the 1 BTC.
But if you offer it to rich person, then he/she may choose to gamble it.

I immediately took the BTC. For me, 1 BTC is enough for me to keep it in my wallet and use fiat to gamble without using Bitcoin because I know that the chance of gambling will not always continue to win so I always think about the risks, not the profits, for me it's 5 BTC. I do gamble but I'm definitely more practical at all times whenever an opportunity knocks. Being offered 1 BTC is a huge amount, without doing anything. Securing it would be a better choice than to have a bigger amount and to take the risk of losing it in exchange for a chance to win big? That's greed. I'd prefer claiming that single BTC and engage it to new projects at this point. The market is showing bullish patterns for months already and investing that amount will give me higher chance of earning profit in return. Also that opportunity won't be on a daily basis so definitely I would make full use of it in a wiser way. Taking 5 BTC and bet it will give you the possibility of earning more but that's just possibility and not assurance. Doing so won't make you a 'true' gambler and personally I would view you as just greedy.

It's a gamble anyway, I'd just take the 1 btc, it's not like I'm going to lose a lot of money if I don't take the risk, bitcoin is bitcoin and if the alternative to the game is that I'd take nothing if I lose, and I know that there's a chance that I can take it away without consequences, I'd just take the bitcoin and thank that person. As much as anyone can always argue that risking that 1 bitcoin would be a good trade since the risk is 2 to 1 but still, it's like 50/50, if maybe the odds would be in my favor like 70/30 or 80/20, that's the time that I wouldn't think anything other than taking the risk because I know that I'm going to definitely win.

Trading is risky too. You can either end up getting worthless coins for your Bitcoin or you may get liquidated if you are doing the future trading. I think it is better to keep your bitcoin safe for the long term and if you want to spend, better to convert it into fiat and start a real business of something like this. Just as I have said before, this is not just greediness. It is more than greediness. It is stupidity or foolishness or whatever a fool can be called. If I take 1 BTC, I can still take some part of it to gamble. Why would I just gamble with it all and likely lose it because 5 odds bet to take it to 5 BTC at once would be a very risky game and the chance that he will lose is high.

Accepting the guaranteed 1 BTC is the lower risk option. I know 5 btc is a very temping offer but what are the odds that I actually win something? Ultimately, the choice comes down to risk appetite. The gamble could pay off substantially, but also carries the very real possibility of receiving nothing at all. As someone with low risk tolerance my best bet is the 1btc where I am certain of the outcome. However, depending on the gambling personality and situation our risk tolerance is different.
