Need help. I GOT PHISHED FOR 9K ON STAKE.COM

I am new to this forum and found out there is a lot of helpful people

I recently had an issue with stake where they were holding my money until I went through kyc and They ended up giving my access to withdraw even tho it took a whole week and 60+ emails and 12 rejections 💀


Anyways, around 7 months ago I was a victim of a phishing email and I was wondering if I am able to do anything about it because it wasn’t fair even tho I was a dumbass and fell for the phishing link


Long story short I got an email to my stake email stating monthly is out and so on, the email was perfectly replicated with the same emojis and stickers and fonts. And the website was designed pretty good too. I went ahead and gave them the info thinking it was the stake email and they took out 9k.

When I messaged support right away they didn’t even restrict the other account. Or care and basically said they can’t do anything but asked me to send them a screenshot of the email in order to stop them from happening in the future 💀


At the time I took the L but looking back that’s low key messed up cuz if stakes security team wasn’t so ass or they didn’t have rouge agents this would have never happened in the first place


On my last post I tried to upload the proof on Google drive and it didn’t work so if anyone wants proof just let me know how to upload it and I’ll be more than happy to do so


If anyone knows the laws and the policies or know if I can do anything let me know

What pisses me off is the fact that they did nothing to stop them and also went ahead and just allows it after I proved to them I was a victim


And the username of the person pissed me off more because it was some baby shark dooododooodooo type name


The man emptied my account and send it to an account with the username of “gorongoogaagaa” some bullshit like that 😂😂😂

I am happy to also give someone 200-500 dollars if they’re able to help because at the time it was 9k now it’s 20 but still if helps out I will compensate them for their time

To be honest you won't be able to get back the money that was stolen from you. Your best bet was Stake's own team but they also said that they can't do anything, and in fact it's not their fault at all.

Phishing sites are huge threats especially for the gamblers, you're not the only victim of such scammers. I hope in future you'll be more cautious about such mails.

Unfortunately, if you have been phished and the criminals were able to withdraw all your money, then nothing's we can do, sorry to burst the bubble for you.

Addresses are anonymous and so even if we trace back where you crypto went thru base on the addresses, still we can't trace down who the owner. And this cyber criminals knows how to hide everything so it will be difficult in your part.

So let it go mate, I know it's a huge amount, and so it's a very expensive lessons to learn.

If you got phished then there's nothing stake can do with that lose and also you can't do anything for that since no other people can help you here.

Maybe it just another lesson to learn that we should never try to get curious on the links we see online since there's a huge chance that you can spot a phising site with those emails you get.

And since there's nothing you can do with that balance lose then I guess its better to move on so you will not hurt yourself for thinking about those huge money you lose by unfortunate phising incident. So sad that there are still people got victimized by this attempts so hopefully this case may serve a lesson to newbies who read this thread.

Sadly , you have lost everything now mate even a chance so the only thing you can do now is to accept that reality, even if you offered someone 50/50 here yet no one can help you , stake on the other hand already gave you the answer so you are only hurting yourself expecting the funds can be recovered because the hacker already have yours.

sorry man, that money is long gone(especially if the incident happened 7 months ago). scammers work fast, if they get hold of their victim's money, they move it quickly to another wallet so the victims would have no chance of securing their funds if they realise that they have been phished. a lot of people have been scammed just like the way you did, my advice to you is to be more cautious when you receive an email or click links on emails.

It a considered a loss, and sad for your expensive mistake, reason why you don't trust too much with the email you receive with your account, tons of phishing emails, or attacks could do to you or your device just to steal your information, in your case, seems the casino can't do anything to your concern because its out of bound in their system, and another thing its a human error. This happens in some site also in which Hackers taking gamblers funds pretending to be the site asking for KYC so its indeed that you are one of the victim, this is really an expensive charging to experience but for now there is nothing you can do or even this community but to let you understand that your funds is already gone.
Sorry for this needs to happen but that is how phishing site do.

And they fixed it and I stated why I though they were scamming me and it was a valid reason, I wouldn’t pull shit out my ass. I fully went and posted on the same topic when they fixed it too, and if I was lying why would they fix it?



Also I just reread what you said, these are 2 different timings my account got hacked recently and that was this month

I fully told you it was my fault at the end but this matter would have never happened if the data didn’t get leaked and for the hackers to have a lead to go and try to phish. But you need to understand this email was identical to every email I normally get from stake for the monthly bonus and it took me like a minute to realize but by that time they have already tipped the other stake account and gambled it 😅

So yes I’m admitting to me being a dumbass but at the same time this would not happen if stakes security wasn’t shit

If you have been in crypto for quite some time now then you should be knowing that you are the owner of your coins.
Once crypto is gone from your account there is no way you are getting it back.
The best possible help would have been if Stake decided to help you but they have bluntly said no.
So there is literally nothing you can do to get your money back. Just take it as a lesson and try to educate yourself more on how to avoid such scams.

Even if you gave the whole amount involved no one here can help you recover your losses because crypto transactions is irreversible. You should edit the title because Stake.com doesn’t scam you but rather the phishing website that is not related to Stake.com

Every popular casino has a lot of phishing website. I’m just wondering how does scammer get your email which they send you this phishing email. By any chance do you sign up for news letter or something from somewhere else that related to casino bonuses? All I can say is your money already gone. Your best shot is to find a cybersecurity to track the owner of the phishing website.

How do you know that your data was leaked from Stake? What if it just a random Phishing link sent to thousands of emails and hope some of them are users of Stake?

It is not necessary that someone from stake has to be on the side who phished you, it just need a registration on stake to find out how their official email looks like so the one who sent you can replicate the same just copy , paste and I am defending why you are accusing the stake here when they are not involved in any way.

Unfortunately when it comes to being a victim of phishing your best option is the platform's support when all this was happening in real time and once this window closes coins are gone for sure  , otherwise going forward the best option is to employ better security measures to your accounts, and just incase you reuse passwords to other platforms,you could consider changing passwords!!

And for goodness sake, in the year 2024 if support really is support access to information about you will always be available to them from the backend and not you giving it to them by request..let's get ahead of these scammers by being cyber smart... again sorry for your loss OP.

This is unfortunately the bad side of crypto. Once your funds are taken, they’re gone and there isn’t much you or anyone can do about it. If you proved your case there’s a chance they could lock the thief’s account, but I’m sure they withdrew everything before that could happen. I think we’ve all fallen victim to a scam at some point. You just need to use it as a learning experience and know that next time you’ll be prepared.

My Stake account was also hacked a couple years ago, most likely due to password leaks on the internet but luckily I did not have any crypto available in my wallet. Back then there was no email authorization code required so if you had the password of the account you could log in instantly and complete any kind of actions. These days, the security is a bit improved but just as in your case scammers always find new ways to steal people's crypto.

Not sure there's anything to do in your case,surely not at this point after months have passed. In your case we cannot talk about a security breach on Stake servers to blame them for your loss. It was rather a mistake made by yourself or maybe just bad luck. Call it whatever you want and take it as a lesson for the future.

Do note that like every other website, stake.com have clauses that protect them when their players get phished or hacked for failing to secure their account: --- it's only fair tbh

4.13 We are not liable or responsible for any abuse or misuse of your Stake Account by third parties due to your disclosure, whether intentional, accidental, active or passive, of your login details to any third party.

Also, are you insinuating stake.com leaked your email or something? this would be a different scenario but you must have a good proof. Receiving a stake.com phishing link does not necessarily mean stake.com leaked your information either because perps could easily buy an email list from past data breaches e.g. ledger and send phishing links of other websites like stake.com

Tbh, if there was a mass data breach from stake, we would be hearing loud noises from communities knowing how big stake's usebase is.
