I am having in issue with all 200 on my S17 pros where it gets stuck in this miner restart loop after about the first 15m which causes my hashrate to drop to near zero.

[2024/03/14 00:19:48] INFO: Raising freq from 50 to 500 Mhz gradually
[2024/03/14 00:19:57] INFO: Switching to automatic fan control (75 C)
[2024/03/14 00:19:57] INFO: Start mining!
[2024/03/14 00:23:14] INFO: Detected 256 Mb of RAM
[2024/03/14 00:23:14] INFO: Switching to manual fan control (30 %)

It will be mining perfectly fine, then randomly go in and restart the whole process again. Doing some research online I found two topics...The one on AwesomeMiner support said to try to change the DevFee tab to be a set location instead of auto--this did not work.

The other resource was a topic posted on here in 2021 where a random laptop connected to the network was causing it.

I have tried: Changing dev fee location, I have also tried two different routers. The internet connection appears to be okay.

Does anyone have any ideas? Right now my farm is producing near zero due to this issue. I'd like to stick with AwesomeMiner, but I'm open to options to try to mine as much as possible before halfing.  Anyone know any other good firmware for s17 pros?

Thanks

try braiins. and use something like anydesk you can do around 250 miners that way.

you need a pc or laptop hooked into the router that the 200+ miners are using.

or you could go to the awesome miner thread

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676942.0

maybe they have a fix

I am leaning towards the devpool issue, do you also have AwesomeMiner software running? There could be a random rule causing that.

Reach out to Patrike or post on his thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676942.0 he would be able to help you better if you provide the API logs to some of the miners you have.

But to save time, change one of the miners' firmware to BO+ or Bitmain stock, if it runs fine then you know it's firmware related issue, also make sure your router firewall isn't blocking the dev pool.

I don't want to get too confident, but I believe this just saved me so much stress and lost money.  I have been mining for the past two hours flawlessly.

It was working with Braiins OS, but for whatever reason Braiins never detects as many hashboards as AwesomeMiner/Vnish

I believe the issue was with the AwesomeMiner software on my PC on the network. If I fully quit out of the software and rebooted the miner it would work flawlessly, but as soon as I opened up the software again the same issue would occur. I tried re installing the software, but that made no difference. For now I have fully removed the software from my PC.

I really hope this solution lasts. Thank you so much for you comment!

AwesomeMiner is a brilliant software and it is a must to monitor and control your miners, but you need to understand how to use it, otherwise, if there exist any rule with the wrong conditions -- it would cause more issues.

I can help you check the rules and check the logs to see what triggers the reboot, i'd need a PC with anydesk on it, or, you could just read the documentations of the software and once you are familiar with it you can do yourself.

Also, one way to go about this would be to use mass config on vnish firmware to change the password of all miners, once done, awesomeminer won't be to control your gears, in fact, it is pretty risky to keep the default web and SSH logins, you must change them anyway, disable SSH and change the web password.
