I would export the private keys, send some Fork dust to the addresses to force replay protection, and use a light wallet whenever possible for offline signing. Don't trust Fork wallets, and make sure you move your Bitcoins before doing anything else.
It is also possible to use the full chain wallets for Forkcoins, but it's usually not necessary.
