TBH if someone wants to promote something to you, and you know that the only just started, then it's your own responsibility to take everything they tell you with a grain of salt, since it should be obvious that someone who just started is not a good teacher themselves.

And I don't think many people are intentionally trying to get others into crypto as beginners. They probably talk about what they have been busy with to their friends, the friends get interested and ask more questions.

How many of you beginners has done this act? Or how many of you amongst us has ever introduced anyone to this Crypto industry and later on you got blamed for their lost of funds?

People will always want to blame someone else for their own actions. This is why when I tell people about Bitcoin, I don’t hammer on the investment side of Bitcoin. I prefer to talk about how decentralized, transparent and secure Bitcoin transactions are. I would add that it is possible to hodl Bitcoin for long term and see some rise in value, I also tell them the risk of crypto trading. This is my way of absolving myself of any of any problems that might arise in the future.

I think we need more orientations particularly to the beginners so they don't take the act of over excitements that they are making incomes in their crypto investments and tends to initiate others to the system without proper orientations.

Its annoying seeing that some people are not well acquainted in the background knowledge of cryptocurrency and they still went ahead in discussing on how they can bring in newbies to the same network, when they also needs to be mentored and learn extensively to understand the way the entire things goes in cryptocurrency, learning never ends and we cannot deceive ourselves for any reason in other to impress others, when we actually know right form our minds that we are also just learning and coming up.

i just don't understand how someone who is new to this industry and still learning various things, can dare to introduce other people and invite them to invest in tokens that are actually not worth it.

it's like a blind person leading a blind person, when they should both be led by someone who is right and understands the way. but that's how it is, sometimes there are some people who feel too smart and know everything, so they feel that they are worthy of introducing other people to it.

Yeah that's true and I have seen a number of people getting their assets lost due to the negligence and too much trust on others shoulders. Basically the reason behind people doing this type of shit is that they are either the course sellers who are very good at marketing and after learning some basics of the crypto market they start to sell their course or skills to the investors.

I have encountered these kinds of people although I got rid of them at times but still I remember them due to their outstanding convincing skills. They either say that we will work on partnership and you'll give me a percentage of your profits or they charge you a fee. In both cases they run away after you fail or lose assets. So be aware of these kinds of scammers.

It has been advised on this forum several times to know the kind of information one receives mostly as regards people dishing out wrong knowledge due to their reasoning capacity and exposure to sources of information.
Do your own research in short for DYOR is a phrase that means exactly as it is spelt out, and it is for everyone learning here to triple check the honesty and truth in any information being caught in a web of ignorance.
Use and visit original websites for better information and if it regards trading and other Blockchain technology activities, YouTube is a great search engine with unlimited resources.

Everyone wants people to know that they are a crypto trader and those are the kind of people who are always misleading people into making wrong decisions they won't tell people the truth and the risks behind them going into investing in crypto.  and that is when you see people coming to comment about how they lost money investing in Bitcoin but at the end of the day the mistake was from those who introduced them. If someone is introducing you do your research the internet is full of information you can get anywhere. so that you do not blame anyone. so that you don't have to blame anyone for anything.  And since everyone is looking for the easy way they don't want to learn but they want to make money and those two things work hand in hand money and learning no learning no earning.

And finally they ends up investing in the Altcoins and Meme projects with highily volatilities where they get their funds lost due to the fact of wrong impacted knowledges by the beginners who has not even gained its ground of being learned about how the crypto markets and the various coins actually works via their differential potentials.

This should be the worst possible outcome for a beginner after listening to newbies who have no idea what cryptocurrency is all about. Such newbies who fall victim to this scam are openly looking for quick money and will go to any length to obtain it. This group of newbies will continue to spread misinformation about cryptocurrency despite having tried and failed the strategy provided by a fellow newbie. Beginners should learn rather than teach when introducing others to altcoins instead of bitcoin.

Crypto is modern era technology and generally people used to show off to people when they have no knowledge about it and that's why newbies try to educate the people even when they didn't know anything in deep. We can't decide what others actions will be so it's our responsibility to verify the provided information is right with our own research which doesn't even take that long to find credibility of it.

Even in the crypto space, when you meet the right people, they always say "Do Your Own Research" (DYOR), which is a well-known phrase in crypto. That phrase should serve as a wake-up call to those who jump into anything, including enticing projects, in order to attract more investors. Before investing in a project, extensive research should be conducted to ensure its credibility.

Not everyone is lucky enough to meet the right people that is what makes the issue here.

Newbies who just enter into crypto trading from watching random ad or youtube video and just get some basics and here only for a couple of weeks decide to show off to their circle as a crypto pro will cause others to get the wrong idea about what is crypto trading.

I never forced anyone to be in crypto, I just stay low and that's my nature in everything unfortunately not everyone has a similar attitude. Wink

Well Said, even if I'm been thought about crypto trading by a professional, before I can proceed first of all I will make a deep research about crypto trading so as to check if I can get the same idea. Sometimes what you learn in most of this online tutorial isn't what you're going  to see in crypto trading, most of the people you're seeing in YouTube, that pretends to be a professional in crypto trading, mean while they don't even have any idea on what they are talking about, they are just feeding people with wrong informations about crypto trading, that is why I don't like participating in those online tutorial.

It is better of you introduce the person to this bitcointalk discussion forum to learn by itself than you claiming professional to them while you are still a beginner.

Bringing a novice to the forum is the best assistance one can render to a beginner that's interested in learning cryptocurrency rather than trying to teach him or her. This is because the teacher might end up passing the wrong information or not outlining some of the risks involved in crypto investment. Even right here on the forum, there are some questions a newbie would ask and you'd see high ranking members like hero or senior members dishing out wrong information and these are members that are supposed to know some basic information about Bitcoin and wallet security.

Newbies shouldn't teach someone with how they invest or how people manage their funds but if a newbie is only teaching someone with the knowledge they learn or let's say where that newbie introduce someone to Bitcoin or in crypto world then I don't see any problem with that since the newbie is spreading the information about crypto to those who doesn't know about it like a friend or family for example although not all would be into crypto and shouldn't force anyone instead newbie or non-newbie should let the people they taught decided themselves wether to be in crypto or not.

<snip>

Flexing about such things you don't have is the worst thing in my point of view and on the same side providing guidance to others with the thing you don't have a grip on is the more worst step. These kinds of people should be avoided as they lose their funds along with those people who are getting guidance from them. I don't know what kind of satisfaction they get flexing on their insufficient knowledge although it is crystal clear that only one wrong step is needed to lose your funds in the crypto industry.

On the same hand, one right step is needed to gain profits in the crypto industry but survival matters more here rather than earning profit in the crypto Space. That's why this kind of person should not flex and provide guidance to other people until they have a strong grip on the field. But in my opinion, we should not take action on others saying in the crypto industry we should help DYOR on the projects we want to invest although we can use others' sayings as a part of reference.

By not immediately believing in what someone explains via YouTube, you will also train your own accuracy when you start something based on your own research. Because trading does not only cover one thing, but also includes two things that cannot be separated from each other, so you always need to be careful when carrying it out. So in general I also agree more with what you said because on the one hand it can make us more diligent in studying while trying it with the knowledge we have gained ourselves.

I just discovered that lot of  the beginners in this Crypto industry has been acting without hesitations to also introduced other people to the industry when they (beginners) are still understudies trying to gain the primary knowledge of the industry yet but they goes out there acting to be professionals insighting variable orientations to people around them that are willing to Invest in the Crypto markets.
These sets of people give themselves different professional names just to deceive people that they have the relevant knowledge. I have seen names like crypto analysts, crypto gurus, crypto specialists, etc, and I wonder what qualifies them to bear these names. These sets of persons speak with authority even when they lack the requisite knowledge and experience.

Quote
And finally they ends up investing in the Altcoins and Meme projects with highily volatilities where they get their funds lost due to the fact of wrong impacted knowledges by the beginners who has not even gained their ground of being learned about how the crypto markets and the various coins actually works via their differential potentials.
Most of their lectures, articles and podcasts end up introducing people to a shitcoin, Ponzi scheme or other crypto projects which promise to make people rich. Newbies should always spend enough time doing their research to avoid becoming victims of these deceivers.

Quote
How many of you beginners has done this act? Or how many of you amongst us has ever introduced anyone to this Crypto industry and later on you got blamed for their lost of funds?
I don't persuade people to invest in Bitcoin because it should be a choice born out of knowledge and conviction. I only tell them about Bitcoin and explain the risks and benefits involved in investing. I also encourage them to do their research. It is now up to them to choose to invest or not.

Quote
I think we need more orientations particularly to the beginners so they don't take the act of over excitements that they are making incomes in their crypto investments and tends to initiate others to the system without proper orientations.

Persists on this acts would usually end any of us like that being blamed for misleading to the lost of funds.
Most people introduce Bitcoin to people as a get-rich-quick scheme. This has led people to even borrow money to invest to recoup high profits after a short period. Many of them end up becoming frustrated because they don't understand how Bitcoin works. Some of them usually become impatient and sell off their coins prematurely. An they win end up blaming the person who misinformed them.

Quote
It is better of you introduce the person to this bitcointalk discussion forum to learn by itself than you claiming professional to them while you are still a beginner.
Bitcointalk is one of the best platforms to learn about the Bitcoin space. It contains quality materials about everything a newbie needs to know before investing in the industry. However, I have observed that many people are not willing to learn. They are not patient enough to gather enough knowledge this is why they are easily deceived by these wannabe crypto professionals.

If you can’t work on your own success, then do not rely from other people to feed you some information that you aren’t sure if they can be helpful or not. Instead, learn to DYOR everytime you receive some promotions most especially if it’s made by some beginners. Be responsible and try to filter everything that you come to absorb. In the end, you learn to accept their insights but the final decision is yours if you will apply that to your investment or not.

I share the same mindset. I don’t actually encourage people to invest in bitcoin, if they do it should be their own will. However, I’m more on instilling to my friends about how bitcoin is designed, that it should act as a reserve currency for fiat though I’m also transparent to them that bitcoin could be more risky due to its high volatility. And as much as possible, I do encouraged them to research more about bitcoin if I saw interest in them. That way, I won’t be held responsible for any losses or wrong information that they might gained.

I barely introduce people to crypto, and even if I do, I don't tell them to directly invest in them, which is the one place most people make mistakes.

I feel free to share crypto knowledge with those who need it, and up to the level at which I understand it, I will help enlighten you and show you how it works and how things are being done. Whatever decision you make from there is left for only you to bear.

All crypto that can give you profit is completely volatile; it's left for you to do your research and look for something worth investing in.

One needs to look beyond the pump and dump of a token if they want to survive the market because hype can trigger a massive pump, but it will only take a coin with a good use case to maintain that market; if not, it will crash down just the same way it skyrocketed to the top.

You're right actually I don't like telling people about crypto investment reason is because they might go with it the other way round, and at this point you will be hold responsible for anything that happens, most people might be thinking that you gave them the wrong informations about crypto investment. this is why I don't like telling people about crypto investment, but for those who are willing to learn about how crypto investment works, I always share the little knowledge i acquire about crypto investment to them. probably after teaching them I will also tell them to make intensive research about crypto investment so that they can acquire more knowledge from there and also add it together with the little that I have given them so far.

My view has changed before when I was so optimistic sharing what I have learned about the basics of crypto to people. And as it has changed, when someone tries to ask me for this and that topics, I'll just give them resources that they can read for them to really have an idea of what they're asking. I don't engage a lot anymore personally because people have the same idea about crypto and money nowadays. They think you're rich but I hope that I come to that point in my life on what's the description of riches on their minds. I have no issues if a beginner is acting profession and tries to explain things in a right way. What's wrong is when they are a beginner and they're sharing misinformation to another beginner. But with what I have noticed, most of them are into airdrops and altcoins that they all believe going to move 1000x in a short period of time. I think, it's not all about the crypto that they're sharing but it's about the mindset they're passing on to the other people of what cryptos are.
