My own DCA strategy follows the points below
1. Don't predict, just follow the plan
2. No leverage
3. Enjoy fluctuations
4. Stick to the plan and be flexible, stop at peak
[...]
Good advice there, but stopping at the peak is something all of us often fail to do. BTW, I built a simple DCA simulator here
https://btcdcastrat.vercel.app. It's just for reference and to compare which strategy works better over a certain period of time, DCA vs Lump Sum. I don't see it as useful as it should be for people who do DCA. Comparing both strategies doesn't mean much because it's comparing strategies over a certain period of time in the past, not in the future. So, since you said don't predict, should we just invest without looking at anything? I have a plan to add an experimental feature, like involving CAGR in the calculation, for example. Do you think it still makes sense?
Good question.
We do need to look at and do research on things beforehand. I set up this strategy after doing both technical and macro-economic analysis.
I think once you have a solid understanding and macro view on Bitcoin, you won't and shouldn't be bothered by micro details and noise, and you can be more patient and certain when executing your strategy.
When I say "Don't predict", I mean "don't bet on your predicted price" to be more specific, I've updated my FAQ page for that at
https://bitcoinlogbook.com/faq/, look forward to more ideas and thoughts from folks here.
https://btcdcastrat.vercel.app looks great, and I think it helps to compare different strategies, as sometimes they are not exclusive, you could benefit from all of them.
