It's better to play poker online, against real players, than offline playing against a programmed opponent. You can maximize your skills if you are up against a real human and the pressure is there if you play online whereas offline, you will just feel comfortable and relaxed.

I am thinking of the opposite that offline means physical poker tables with real people on it sitting together with you and playing against each other. While for the online type of poker, there are many ways to play poker today with some AIs or bots that might join the table which is programmed by the casino. And that's why I am quite confused about the difference of it between the two based on how it is described by everyone. But I do agree that if we're up against real human and playing it, I prefer more of that.

There have been tables in the past that I've sit but it was long time ago and that's in offline or physical setup and to be honest, I prefer that kind of poker. The tension and emotions are real with that and I think that's what I have been looking for compared from doing it online. But what I like with online is that nobody disturbs me and I get to play anytime I want and anywhere.

But I'd prefer to play it online while I am at home and not in some random areas where anyone can disturb me. That's how it goes for me with the peace that I am finding when I am doing alone. But that peace surely will be broken if most of the cards that I have been holding are losing me but that rarely happens as I believe it's like an equal opportunity that's being shared to the majority of us.

Checking doesn't necessarily mean that you have a bad card.
It can mean a lot of things and it can be bad to assume that someone have a bad card just because they checked

anyway, if you don't call the bet when someone raised, then your only option is to either raised the bet again or to fold.

Online players can find out that you have good cards by analyzing the patterns in your game. Going all in at the beginning, when you have good cards is a mistake, because the other players will come to the conclusion that you have good cards. Luck is always a big factor in poker and sometimes your bluffs can win, but this won't be consistent. Poker is about analyzing the opponents game, risk management, luck and trying to trick your opponents into thinking that you have weak cards, while raising the stakes.
I prefer online poker because I'm not the most social and extroverted person. I don't know how good I am at having a "poker face".

It wont be hard for experienced online poker players to know what he does especially he is still less experienced than others. At first they will just use guessing or predicting and relying on the cards they have but after several hands, if he keeps the same thing again and again then the pattern will be realized by other opponents.

Based on my limited experience playing poker, confidence is high online. When you're playing face-to-face with people you don't know, you'd always be apprehensive. Bluffing skills, hiding skills, are intense in a face-to-face poker game, a lot more intense compared to an online game.

There are a lot of ways how the other players determine if you have a good card when you play online:

1. The first thing is the same as your behavior, every time you have double A's you immediately call an all-in at the beginning of the game. That's one easy way for other experienced players to skip a round especially if they have a bad card and avoid any unnecessary losses because you immediately give a hint that you have a good card.

In this scenario, some are also good at analyzing the situation and can decide their next move and sometimes even win against the cards you have.

2. The second thing is that some players do observe the moves of their opponents. They are reading other players through online by watching how they handle each round. If you are the type of player who always folds and waits until you receive a good pair of cards, your opponent can know when to avoid or fight you in that situation.

There are other ways. Only experienced poker players who have become really good by honing their skills and obtaining experience by non-stop playing even if it is online poker.

And to answer your question which one is better, for me, it's playing offline poker.
What I like about poker is its battle in bluff. You can turn the tables against your opponent even if you have a bad set of cards. Your chance of winning depends on how you can easily make a fool of your opponent or how you read them. The feeling of making a bluff if also an experience that will give you full of joy.

I have played poker in both, real life and online and I have played it not only among my friends but in a real poker environment, the ones you see in the movie. The difference is poker is more exciting to play in real life because you really feel into it, you can keep an eye on everyone around you to know whether they bluff or not, you can also test your skills and ability of guessing what person thinks according to his/her face mimics and during the playing session you try to understand when person bluffs and when they show real emotions. You can also fake your own mimics and face expressions, so that's exciting definitely. In online poker, you can't fake those things as well as you can do in real life and it becomes also very hard to analyze your opponents because you can't see their face.

This is a very personal opinion, but I believe one is supposed to play poker with other people face to face if one has the chance to do so. Playing with other people actually helps to train one abilities to successfully hide good cards and bluff with bad cards without being cought on it, so even if it is with one's friends, it would be great to start having some irl practice when comes to poker.
