First off, online poker eliminates Hollywood bluffing. No more reading faces; it's all about your betting patterns, speed, and guts. Think putting all your chips in pre-flop with aces is genius? Wrong. Basically gambling. You must realize that online sharks analyze your every bet, fold, and play rhythm, not your sweat. They're reading your spirit, not face

Truth bomb: going all-in every other hand hides nothing. Like shouting 'I have a monster!' in a quiet library. Not subtle, right? Also effective? Ignore it. Poker is mental chess, not a slot machine, online or offline. It requires strategic thinking and intentional trickery, not merely throwing chips around for luck. So dump the all-in spam and start creating a mystery bet web. Online and live, that's poker's true art

Nicely said.
And also mannerisms. That's gone when you do it online. A player could sometimes read an opponent just by biting his fingernails, knocking the wood, fixing the eyeglasses, touching the hair, and more. Those mannerisms can be a sign of something and great poker players who have been doing it for years can create a good prediction of what the cards are underneath.
I have watched a lot of professional poker players and they can sometimes even tell what exactly are the cards of their opponent. That is why they even have the guts to fold a good card especially if the round goes until the turn because it can change the outcome of the game drastically even with just one card. Let's say the opponent just needs one more shape to make a flush and it happened in the turn. Those kind of things.

Even the pair of aces can lose, how many times have we seen that? TV would bring up the percentage of their winning chance but as long as it's not over until the river, there's no assurance that the high percentage can stay.

if you are a poker player of both then surely you will choose Offline because the feeling and the excitement is there reading each opponent about their behavior an reactions but if you wanted to be fooled by online operators then you will be forever in that positions.
personally I hate online gambling because we cannot see our opponents faces to read whats on their mind.
I agree on you here about my love for offline card games not a fan of Poker but i love black jack and other card games that commonly giving me more chance of enjoying while winning , yeah I'm good in reading mind of opponents lol.
this same reason why i will choose offline game over online game even if online gives me comfort whenever i wanted to play.

Playing poker online is the better for me, why? Simply because it is impossible for me to play it offline since gambling is illegal in my country so it is impossible to find offline poker room in my country.
No other choice except playing it offline for me, so I have no idea about the experience while playing poker offline but hopefully there will be a chance for me to play it offline in the future.

Yes, this is the problem when I am playing poker offline, I can't hide my emotion when have a good card, my face will definitely light up and my opponent will know that I have good cards.
I'm sure we are from the same country, I'm wondering where did you play poker offline in our country.
Is there a private illegal poker room in your city that is accesible for exclusive players only?
Or do you play it with your friends only in your own house?

The best part of playing poker online is that games happens all the time. Anyone is able to start and finish session whenever gambler wants, and in any place with even slow internet connection. With offline, I think gambler must catch a moment. For example offline poker isnt that much popular in our local casinos. Tournaments happen once a week, every Saturday-Sunday. If gambler has a desire to gamble Wednesday during lunch, not only he will find an opponent, but the casino most likely be empty.

Are those videos you are talking about, same to what we saw on the TV where there are cameras pointing at them? If yes, then I think they are literally acting there and we think such a trick is easy to pull off in the real game but the reality is they are not really. If you are still curious, then go ahead and just follow the same strategy that you saw there, where you shouldn't go all-in if you have a good card because chances are that your opponents will know it. You are not good hiding, even on other things? If yes, then that sounds great because it can mean that you are a good and honest person lol.

It's too early to do an all-in at the beginning of our plays but even in the mid or later runs, and what if we lose? It may be better to just play minimally to enjoy the game longer and less pressure are going to be experienced by us.

Yeah that would be the one huge advantage of playing poker online is that you can spark up a game at any point in time.  I often will log in to one of my online casino accounts to play a quick few hands of texas hold'em, which is a good time waster.

I however will always prefer playing in person as the game feels more "real" to me, as the art of bluffing and things of that nature come more "alive", so to speak.

For convenience sake, then I would agree on this. The transaction is fast and easy, there is no pressure unless I am being chasing while drawing cards and playing. It's just a quick and easy type of playing and an opportune moment to make money. Yet still, we cannot change the fact that if you truly want the real experience, then real time poker would be best. The pressure is on, you can feel the heavy breaths and confusion. Though it's exciting, it takes much more effort and time on my experience.

Psychology in poker is an intellectual battle. Controlling emotions and analyzing the psychological aspect of your opponent takes priority over showing nervousness when being dealt good cards. Even some good players can use this against you, you make it really easy for them to predict what your next move will be.

Instead of betting too high on your good hand from the early stages, consider taking your actions slowly so that it is difficult for your opponent to realize how strong your hand is. Use this technique to watch how they play and react when being checked, called or raised to gauge their strategy and confidence level. Let the person think that you have bad hands by pretending to be weak with a good hand but showing him strength with a weak hand, which may cause him to fall into the trap.

Considering my gambling background with a special emphasis on poker games, there is no definite answer regarding this, so I am not stating that online poker is superior to offline poker because maybe everyone has a style in how they play. Some players may prefer one format over another while others find advantages in both formats.

To play poker offline or online, we must take advantage of our chances of winning in whatever gambling game we play. It is very important for us to change our style of play and not be too predictable for the opponent. Always go all-in when your cards are strong, but make an informed decision whether to slow bet or bluff if your hand is weak. This will make you unpredictable and more profitable as time goes by.

I often watch poker videos on YouTube where the player have very good acting to hiding his cards through his flat face. I have seen them being able to win with very bad cards on their hand with a good bluff, all in his chips. So I imagine, and often play poker online, I am very happy if I get a good card and I can't hide it well so just go all in all my chips. So what do you think?, how do other players know when I have good cards when playing online?, Is by check and don't call the bet they know we don't have a good card?, I'm not good at hiding it, sometime when I have double AS, I always all in at the beginning.

Better in what sense? Poker online is very different than to play poker offline, for example one of the great things of playing poker online is that you can gamble at several different tables at the same time, plus the speed is faster as well, so if you are a good poker player you can make more money online than what you can make offline.

However the advantage of offline poker is that if you can read your opponents due to their body language, then you can more easily avoid dangerous situations or take advantage of your superior hand.
Very well said bud, I am not a poker player, have come across friends who the game both online and offline, personally, I should by now be an experienced poker player but unfortunately, I've never really sacrificed the time to learn it.

By being around friends who play poker online and offline, what I've learnt in terms of which is better is that, it boils down to personalities, that is; what a person like, and also time, some people have so much time that playing offline poker is never a problem for them, so, they have the time to sit on a poker table for along as possible.
While others don't have such time due to work and other real life activities, so they prefer to the online version of poker, which they can play at any time at their convenience, even in the mid night if this is the time they really have the chance or time to.

So, In the nutshell, choosing between online or offline poker, as to which is better, all depends on individual preferences.

Well am not that familiar with the game of poker but from a general sense I think I prefer playing games online than playing them on physical casino shops. There is a lot of comfort from playing home at your own convenience than playing in a local gaming shop or house where alot of dramas can play out anytime at all and besides I believe everyone loves their privacy and like keeping their gambling anonymous well I can say for sure that I do but can't say the same for everyone though.

Wow that was deep.

In my case I liked to play with friends and seeing people try to hide what they have or do the opposite of what they used to do in previous rounds to throw others off was always so much fun.
I felt like real game where you can laugh and comment when they finally show their hands is one of the best parts of the game. That social interaction that online poker lacks.

That said, I talk from the perspective of an inexperienced player who considers losing $50 a lot for one night. When we played with friends blinds were less than $1 so I understand when high rollers prefer to focus on the cards with no noises around them and no nervous looks from other people at the table. When you go online you also skip all the drama.

Playing poker online gives more opportunities because you are faced to a variety of options and can play multiple rounds anonymously and faster than when it is offline, you get to choose a table that suits your level of skills and preferences and can even play in multiple tables simultaneously which might increase your profits if you are skilled enough and if you can focus well on them.

But I think for someone who plays poker for its atmosphere, it is more fun to play poker in person and live, you get to socialize with many player which might increase your ability to read your opponents' mind by observing his behavior and body language you might be able to have more opportunities to set your strategies right and win. I think live poker games add more enjoyment and excitement. But if you are someone who doesn't know how to hide his facial expressions it might be bad for you to face your opponent face to face because you can lose easily even if your cards are better than his.

So basically I don't think that there is one better than the other,  it is a matter of tastes and preferences and also skills.

It’s just that those who know how to hide their emotions very well, as well as read the clues on their opponents’ faces, will have an advantage. Those who cannot do this will have a negative EB if they play many hands. This brings up an obvious idea: those who are not familiar with hands and cannot read them are better off playing online poker. OP writes that online you can also give signals to your opponent and delay the time bank, but I don’t really believe in such conditional tells, I prefer not to take it seriously, especially since many may be distracted and not see them. While in offline poker everyone usually watches their opponents even after throwing away their cards)

I'm old fashioned and I like the atmosphere of a poker room. I like the tension, the sound of cards being shuffled and chips falling on the pile.
Back in the day we did not have chips and used real coins. It was also a lot of fun. When you play online you miss all the fun.
That's not a real poker game without some fun, someone leaving angry, someone leaving drunk... Life at its finest!

Absolutely, understanding how you’re perceived in the online realm is quite a shift from live poker, isn’t it? Without seeing someones face, we dive deep into the nuances of their betting behavior and the rhythms of their play. It’s like reading a novel instead of watching a movie, the details are subtler but equally telling.
Throw in some bluffs or call with those strong hands instead of going all in right away. Keep ‘em guessing. It’s about crafting a table image that’s as hard to read as a poker face in the flesh.

If you ask me that question then the answer will be that no online poker is not better than offline poker game. Actually I want to say that we shouldn't compare with offline and online both have different entertainment. The fun when we and our friends sitting and playing poker of playing with others the fun can't be compared on the others hand online poker make make it easy to access we can also play with others unknown to known person here

Real life poker is always fun, there is more vibe, a better atmossphere, you can try to read your oppenents card by looking at their face, body reactions,… I never played poker in a casino (only against friends) but would love to do just for the experience itself.

Gambling is something that gives us a lot of pleasure but it is not a good addiction so gambling should always be kept hidden otherwise it can put us in very bad situations at times.  And one of the big advantages of online gambling is that it is very easy to keep gambling hidden so I prefer online gambling.  Although offline gambling can be much more fun, online gambling is more comfortable for me because it can be easily used anywhere.
