For now, good, because I see that I have increased my merits, the shame is that they do not generate smerits and that tomorrow I will not have them. On the other hand very funny to see some with negative merit.

So to counterbalance the penalty, I also added a system whereby you will earn a bit of merit just by reading posts. If you want to write a lot, you'd better do some reading as well!

How much merit is 'a bit'? Say if I read all the 63,842,969 Posts in 1,377,195 Topics by 3,604,538 Members in this forum, will I earn a God-like rank and a bazillion merits?

Thanks Theymos, you have April fooled us!   However, if in real something like that could take place then it's much better to make some changes where users who make high quality posts gets some auto-merits for their time and contribution.

Let it end in an April Fool to avoid further complications. An automated system can only do what you wish for since there are no moderators checking and rating posts manually. Even if there are, the work will be too cumbersome. And this automated system may create more issues than the ones they would be tasked to solve if care is not taken.

I got a notification on the Telegram bot that my account was banned, but after I opened Bitcointalk everything was fine. Is this also part of April fools?

When I logged into the forum this morning and saw the Merit count increase on my BTT profile I felt good. But whenever I tried to post more I was surprised that my merit number was just going down. Tears started to fall, seeing such exceptions in the profiles of even more unique people like me, I calmed down. Later I realized that today is April 1st "April Fools".

Does this also affect bot? Lolz I was thinking you should be in right position to handle situation here but it seams you are not different from others   . I really felt for this because I wasn't expecting it soon.
