[April fools] Adjustments to Merit calculation

Seeing JJG-like wall of text decreasing merits was a little bit of shocker.
I honestly tried increasing my merits reading posts, but the dark side of shitposting quickly took the fun part, as there were more custom title to get.
Shitposter once, shitposter forever? Hopefully not.

I actually missed out on April Fool's Day celebrations this year due to personal reasons. I don't know how many users were shocked by that - but I can imagine that a lot of users were probably affected by it based on what our admin said.

April fools! I feel like more people were legitimately fooled by this one than normal.

Oh thank goodness - I wasn't fooled this year because of April Fools. If only I hadn't missed it - I might have been fooled by it too.

All users seem to be very happy now that the Adjustments to Merit calculation on April 1 has been lifted.

To see an ever changing number of merits on my account (whenever I visited a different thread with my posts) was difficult to understand. I was certain there was a bug of some sort therefore took screenshots that were going to be used in a thread asking others if they knew what was going on.

I did not see this thread before I took screenshots of my merits therefore I was definitely fooled by this one

In one hour, the world will be back to normal. Going to miss these loud mouth posters. Luckily Theymos didn’t mess with this.

The fun only lasts for a day and then its back to normal business. Though everyone keep remembering it for the next few days

Big kudos to everyone who was involved with this year's April prank. I really liked it and also the account "level" titles of April's 1st. For some it felt surprisingly true... 

I had the feeling that everyone could take themselves not too seriously and have a good laugh about it. What could possibly be wrong with that?

When I visit the forum, I first check my profile. I remember 1st April merit was unrealistic. I have to think sometimes and check my merit history. Instantly, I didn't guess it was April Fool. But after some time, I realised it.

However, it was surprising to me. By posting this, they realised people were posting low-value posts just to get paid.

Theymos' April Fools jokes all have an irony to them. It makes light of something that is obviously very problematic in the wider crypto world but by exposing users to it in a playful way.
