The reality is that most gamblers, and specially the most addicted ones, are usually people without much money to begin with.

Most millionaires would rarely gamble. As you mention, there's little point for them to do that.

They can instead enjoy many other activities with the money they have.

It doesn't matter if someone is rich or poor, we all start gambling for fun & easy profit. The stakes are different, everyone has their own limit and perception of a min bet & big win.

It's not a question of how someone becomes too addicted to gambling, I think we are all addicted, so the real question is how well we are able to control it. Without control, anyone (rich or poor) can lose everything they have and get into debt on top of that.

Each of us has our own reasons why we like to gamble, for sure it's common for all of us to feel the thrill of taking risks and trying to get bigger wins. Other factors like socialization in land-based casinos or online casino chat rooms, and drinking can add up to the experience, but some people just like to gamble without them.

Why do they get addicted? also simple because they have the means to continue playing despite losing too much, but as we know, money and wealth are not infinite, so if they continue to waste money on gambling, then at some point they will stumble and may lose their luxurious life.

A millionaire can start gambling as he wants the entertainment that comes from gambling, as he continues to gamble without being disciplined he'll get addicted to gambling and will then want to continue playing it just to fulfill his  satisfaction. A majority of addicted individual don't care if they're losing or winning when they're gambling. For some individuals it's about the money that they're making as they're addicted to making money from gambling as they're not always losing when they gamble.

For those individuals that are losing but still gambling, we can say it's about the wins that they're chasing. The individuals will say when they win that they'll stop gambling but after winning they won't stop but want to continue to gamble further. Gambling addiction works differently for different individuals and this is why we have different types of addiction an different reasons why they get addicted to gambling.

A gambler is a gambler, rich or poor but who needs to be more active with gambling? The dudes with the less money, and thats where  the poor comes in, they have the biggest desire to make the most money, they will go all into gambling thinking it's the way to get rich.

Believe me, if you see someone claimed to be rich or you think they're rich because they have many business or high paying job, they're not that rich. Let's say you have $10 Million, technically you're rich by a lot people, you can actually buy lambo that cost you $300K, but you choose to not buy because you feel it's wasting money and better you invest it. Sometimes it's not always about the money- it is about making a statement and conquering the odds on your favour.

The rich gamble due to various reasons but mostly, they look for the feeling of adrenaline and anxiety. When they conquer great fear, there is that huge moment of relief that people sometimes look for.

You're right- these people are already rich so what do they gain from it? Perhaps more money to dispose; or maybe they find the environment of gambling establishments to be comfortable? There's lots of reasons on why they gamble but I do think that majority of the rich gamble in order to prove that they can win. Their competitive nature drives them to prove to others that they can win against these odds.

Well, we can actually sort out what you said in this post, let's start with you first. initially you start gambling to win some money, or you hope to get the biggest win. then, you claim that gradually your ideas began to change. but still, the common thread is money which is the starting point for you to gamble. although now, perhaps your mindset has changed as you gain more experience.

Referring to the second point, we do not necessarily generalize it to what you think. for example, Athletes, Politicians, and even other rich people. in essence, everyone has a trigger for why they like to gamble and even become addicted. we don't know that at first they gambled, then became addicts. When it comes to money, they have it. Or it could be, they want to get richer from gambling. After all, everyone's thinking patterns are different. Well, let's just take the big picture, most athletes or politicians who like to gamble are initially for entertainment. Or, they meet at a place that has a casino and bar. I remember watching a movie about why rich people invest, one of the findings was that they find meaning in that activity and feel like their life was fulfilled if they managed to do that well. Basically, it serves as a product to fill their self-actualization needs. To be honest, the only reason why I think a millionaire or a rich person would get into gambling is because they are looking to have some fun but along the way they got carried away and then fall into addiction.

There might be some rich people who are purely in for the fun part, but as we all know even if you’re rich or poor if you don’t take caution when gambling you’ll become something you don’t like -  for example they might not be chasing their losses since they have enough money to cover up the amount they lost but the time they usually spend on their account could still lead to it and that’s the only reason that comes to my mind each time I think about it.

I disagree with you on this, that people are gambling to become a millionaire, and that millionaire do not gamble because they have millions. Seeing millionaires gambling is a justification that not everyone gamble for money but for the sake of fun and entertainment. This people have enough money to cater for themselves and love ones but they still engage in gambling. Winning more money is probably part of motivation but that's not the main reason behind their involvement in gambling. Some of them become addict because money to gamble with is never a problem and see it as a place to pass off their stress.

Am very sure if you love the feeling of winning so much you should try play more games that offer rewards either online or offline. Binance supports alot of good gaming services and it might be an opportunity to earn as you enjoy the thrill of winning.

It is better to see gambling as entertainment but without neglecting the possibility of making money. What you need to know is that everyone including billionaires wants more money. A millionaire might gamble for fun but some of them gamble for the money.

I believe it actually goes way beyond the social status and the money the person could already have in their pockets, to whether they are less likely or not to start partaking in gambling and betting. Just looks for example and people who are millionaire and billionaire and they have literally enough money to do whatever they want for the rest of their lives and even the rest of the lives of their descendants. They already have money, but money is something complex to the human mind and makes us to have even more of it, even though we already have much of our basic needs covered.

People usually start with money it's the main goal at first and the reason they try so hard. Then it becomes a form of spending free time. Winning helps, but the games are constructed in such way that it's almost impossible to keep losing. For a rich man to gambling or being addicted to gambling, two things are involved which is not Contrary as an average gambler. So it is either they are gambling for funs or profits.

If we compare then yes I would agree with the idea that more people put the goal of earning in gambling than the idea of just having fun, one of the reasons is because there are still quite a lot of other things that can be made into entertainment without involving the possibility of losing if for example what you want is nothing more than to seek pleasure, but what happens? yes the population of gamblers is increasing and I am sure that there are some of them who hide behind the idea of "entertainment" where they actually come to "multiply". We can look at this in a scientific manner. When people do something “fun” their brain basically gets rewarded by a hormone called dopamine.
