The answer is already in your statement, millionaires already have a lot of money, they have assets, good money circulation, investment, and etc so they don't need to worry if they lose too much money because at the end of the day, they have the cash to enjoy themselves, if you have a lot of money there's a lot of opportunity, and chances will be given to you because you can play a lot of games, you can risk a lot more than the other gambler. These days we all know that there are things that we can all spend our money on, the things you mentioned are thr real examples of things people spend their moneys on, if they don't spend of drinks they spend on women, if they don't spend on women, they spend on drugs, gamble and don't people don't even spend their money on themselves, those people prefer to satisfy other people than them self, drinks too.

Sometimes it's not always about the money- it is about making a statement and conquering the odds on your favour.

The rich gamble due to various reasons but mostly, they look for the feeling of adrenaline and anxiety. When they conquer great fear, there is that huge moment of relief that people sometimes look for.

You're right- these people are already rich so what do they gain from it? Perhaps more money to dispose; or maybe they find the environment of gambling establishments to be comfortable? There's lots of reasons on why they gamble but I do think that majority of the rich gamble in order to prove that they can win. Their competitive nature drives them to prove to others that they can win against these odds.

Well, we can actually sort out what you said in this post, let's start with you first. initially you start gambling to win some money, or you hope to get the biggest win. then, you claim that gradually your ideas began to change. but still, the common thread is money which is the starting point for you to gamble. although now, perhaps your mindset has changed as you gain more experience.

Referring to the second point, we do not necessarily generalize it to what you think. for example, Athletes, Politicians, and even other rich people. in essence, everyone has a trigger for why they like to gamble and even become addicted. we don't know that at first they gambled, then became addicts. When it comes to money, they have it. Or it could be, they want to get richer from gambling. After all, everyone's thinking patterns are different. Well, let's just take the big picture, most athletes or politicians who like to gamble are initially for entertainment. Or, they meet at a place that has a casino and bar. Then, they try it just for fun and it ends up becoming a hobby. there are also factors from DNA and genes, we discussed this point in the previous thread. So in essence we cannot equalize everyone, you have mentioned several factors in this post. So the point is that each person's addiction is different, even though the essence is the same, they are both addicts.

I remember watching a movie about why rich people invest, one of the findings was that they find meaning in that activity and feel like their life was fulfilled if they managed to do that well. Basically, it serves as a product to fill their self-actualization needs. I can see the same thing happen if they use gambling and win it to fulfill their self-actualization needs, but not sure it applies to anyone who is addicted. They can start with the same motive, but I believe things change if a person becomes addicted. It no longer makes them happy but hurts them instead.

A rich athlete or politician can become addictive just like the way every average and poor person can become addictive to gambling.  People comes addicted to gambling because of too much passion and much expectation they have towards gambling irrespective of the financial status. To be honest, the only reason why I think a millionaire or a rich person would get into gambling is because they are looking to have some fun but along the way they got carried away and then fall into addiction.

There might be some rich people who are purely in for the fun part, but as we all know even if you’re rich or poor if you don’t take caution when gambling you’ll become something you don’t like -  for example they might not be chasing their losses since they have enough money to cover up the amount they lost but the time they usually spend on their account could still lead to it and that’s the only reason that comes to my mind each time I think about it.

I disagree with you on this, that people are gambling to become a millionaire, and that millionaire do not gamble because they have millions. People that gamble to become millionaires are always those that think they can make a fortune through gambling, which it do end up to be the opposite, and they are not responsible gamblers.

There are another kind of gamblers that do not gamble because they want to make millions, but they gamble for fun, because they have come to understand that gambling is a game of luck and should be seen as a means of entertainment. Such people are the ones that are enjoying gambling, and we have both the rich and the poor falling in this category.

Yeah that's true because in real life you can hardly see a wealthy man gambling because he has already gotten more than enough money that could get him whatever they need in life, so I totally agree with you because like I already mentioned on most of my post is very rare to see a rich man gambling, however even if gambling is a game of fun there is no wealthy man will just sacrifice his money on gambling just to have fun, although there has been numerous of people who has been talking about how most people sacrifice there money just to have fun.

I also agree with that majority of people or rather gamblers who easily become an addict are those who doesn't have money and when they gamble they are ready to put in everything they have just to have a good wining but the rich doesn't gamble much and even if they do, they gamble with strategy of targeting a club that has higher chance of wining with a smaller odds and put in money but when it comes to the poor they gamble too aggressively.

For those who have a lot of money or are called millionaires, in my opinion it is clear that they do or participate in gambling because they want to have fun, but that doesn't mean they don't want to win, of course there is a desire for them to be able to win in the gambling they do. It's just that their main goal is to have fun. Seeing millionaires gambling is a justification that not everyone gamble for money but for the sake of fun and entertainment. This people have enough money to cater for themselves and love ones but they still engage in gambling. Winning more money is probably part of motivation but that's not the main reason behind their involvement in gambling. Some of them become addict because money to gamble with is never a problem and see it as a place to pass off their stress.

That's probably true to a certain extent because as the others already mentioned, casinos would always step up to provide the best experience for their best customers, and that's the high rollers.

IMO there are still high rollers who are addicted because of other reasons like struggling to stop themselves from chasing their losses.

Some people are sociable and the physical casinos knows this and they know that these sociable people are people on high society so they make it a point to make their casino a good place to meet and mingle but even if they are here to meet people and enjoy they are also here to make money.

Am very sure if you love the feeling of winning so much you should try play more games that offer rewards either online or offline. Binance supports alot of good gaming services and it might be an opportunity to earn as you enjoy the thrill of winning.

For the millionaires who gamble alot, I doubt they suddenly became millionaires overnight and thus,  it may have been an already reinforced habit that they had before they become millionaires.

Gambling solely for the aim of making money to meet our needs is not appropriate because gambling doesn't guarantee a steady source of income. It is better to see gambling as entertainment but without neglecting the possibility of making money. What you need to know is that everyone including billionaires wants more money. A millionaire might gamble for fun but some of them gamble for the money.

 I can attest that socialization is one of the benefits of physical casinos because it provides an avenue to interact with friends and sometimes share some bottles of beer. Physical casinos provide a good atmosphere for entertainment and no doubt many politicians and millionaires might find the place entertaining. But as I earlier stated, many of them still gamble for money because I have seen some of them who are addicted gamblers.

We all know that drugs are very harmful to our body yet spending a lot of money people use drugs because they enjoy the fun of consuming them. Similarly gambling is a place of entertainment although there is a possibility of losing a lot of money and many people lose a lot of money but it attracts us again and again and even after losing a lot of money we cannot stop gambling. I believe it actually goes way beyond the social status and the money the person could already have in their pockets, to whether they are less likely or not to start partaking in gambling and betting. Just looks for example and people who are millionaire and billionaire and they have literally enough money to do whatever they want for the rest of their lives and even the rest of the lives of their descendants. They already have money, but money is something complex to the human mind and makes us to have even more of it, even though we already have much of our basic needs covered.
Billionaires continue to do business, Bitcoin whales continue to try to profit off the market and CEOs continue to compete against one another for the sake of accumulating money.
So there are rich people and celebrities out there which (like the common average person) do not see chances of getting money in investments or expansion of their businesses, but rather they turn to gambling.

The takeaway is that Gambling is equally attractive to rich people and people who does not have much money, that is specially true to the new rich and those who inherited their money without being aware of the hard work behind all the fortune.
