I disagree with that, if you are experiencing an earthquake, a fire, a flood, a bombing or a landside this tool won't be enough efficient to protect your seed, because even if it's not destroyed you're very likely to lose it in all the rubble.
In addition the places you're referring to, are very likely to be destroyed in case of a major earthkake, flood, fire or bombing. That's why it's better to send a share of your seed (a split or a passphrase) to someone living outside your country IMO.

The reason people are saying we should avoid saving it online is not because of anything. Still, we know that anything that is connected to the internet will allow hackers to be able to access you, and that is why they will tell you to keep it away from anything connected to the internet. and if they can have access to your seed phase, then your money is gone. We're actually talking about the attack of nature disasters here which means it could even occur to inevitable placement of lives and properties.

Think about how many computers your data travels through when you send it to a cloud storage service. Would you really want to send data that you don't encrypt yourself over there?

Nice point, I'm proud to say that I'm one of those people, somehow, I feel that offline storage can be met with some uncertainties, and storing them online has its own limitations, as a programmer I do the encryption myself and store it both offline and online in case of emergencies. I just store the encryption and secret key together instead of the full seed phrases and its more secure as only myself knows how to go about it.

In the case of an earthquake with almost all buildings brought to the ground, people trapped inside for days or weeks and rubbles scattered everywhere. You won't even be thinking of you seed phrase, what will be in your mind is your survival and the safety of your family members. I thank God that you said video and not reality. I have not experienced earthquake in my State in Nigeria. But have experienced flood time without number and nobody can tell me anything about flood. The kind flood I have experienced in my State pull down houses and destroy buildings and documents but all these disasters if you laminate your seed phrase and it fall for the flood, it will not damage if you see it and pick it but if you didn't see and if flow away then it would list.

There is no guarantee of our lives either, but we are living normally. That's why anything won't guarantee that your seed won't be damaged or lost during a natural disaster. Therefore, you need to somehow secure it in different locations far from your home. You should have some secret sources that you can store. Try to prevent destroying your seed phrase all the way. I understand it. But as Nigerian, he would used life time experienced scenario and not recorded videos. Though videos are reality when we come flooding fire outbreck and other disasters. I see what you mean, laminated paper is better than plain paper. But laminating is also not free. And there is also a security risk if someone else will do it for you.  On the other hand, you don't have to buy washers if they are expensive for you (although I don't think it's a big expense), you can use any piece of scrap metal from stainless steel, and you don't have to worry about floods or fires anymore.  Your seed phrase will survive both.

this is what i do now. i store several parts of my seed phrases in 3 online storage platforms, and i put a number on each part to prevent confusion when putting them together. i think this is one safe way to store your seed phrases and it's much easier than having to write them down on paper and store them somewhere else.

Lamination? Regular clear scoth tape isn't much worse than this. It costs a penny, no additional equipment is required (as with lamination), you can do it without outside help. You can cover it in several layers if you want more reliability. Paper covered with tape will no longer be exposed to water.

A more exotic way: fill the paper with epoxy resin (after shaping it into a frame). This method will be even better than lamination.

Laminated paper or cardboard should be considered a temporary quick fix solution, not for long-term storage or protection from most natural disasters.
