I agree with you because day by day more and more people are becoming addicted to gambling under the pretense of having fun, it turns out that their personal life is affected and affected by all aspects of their family. Hey mate gambling addiction has no categories and has no limitation or restrictions of people, the same way we have gambling addiction over here in Nigeria same way others suffers it. Haven't you come across people who has sold their belongings just to satisfy their gambling desire? I think the reason for this is the economic factors which is affecting the youths in Africa. The average youth is still struggling for daily bread, trying to make ends meet on the economic hardship and so they have in their subconscious mind the need to survive outside gambling incase gambling prediction fails. So many social amenities are not provided by the African government unlike the government of the developed countries. So a youth has to provide for so many of his survival needs and can't afford to waste resources so much on gambling.

As I read through the OP I expected to see the OP provided links to his assertion but I am disappointed that there are no links provided to support his points. Basically what the OP has done is just an assumption that hasn't been proven. Once the OP reads more literature on the topic of gambling and its addiction he would come to realize that there are only three levels of addiction and by extension gambling addiction. He would also come to realize that the reason why he may think that people in other continents /races are more addicted to gambling than the African continent is that those people have a better system to monitor, report, and document gambling addiction than their counterpart in the African continent.

Do not get me wrong this is still a guess base on the field of work.

I have not travel out from country to know if the other continent gamblers are more committed than the African countries.  Op I don't your observation is correct because the way I Africans playing gamble is more that the white. And the only different I can see on them is the quality and quantity of gambling. The white are playing with quality in the sense that they play with huge amount of money and not in a regular basis but in Africa, we play gamble daily basis but with small amount because the gamblers in Africa do not have the access to the wealth of the nation but in abroad the gamblers are in the parliament.
And those who are in the corridor of power are druggers and not gamblers and the reverse is the case in abroad. That is how I see it.

So, I disagree that it's about the race of a person. Asians have more traditional beliefs which could become the reason why they don't gamble much. Perhaps you are pointing to just one or two countries but you made it "Asia" because you think we are all the same. I don't think so, gambling addiction does not matter your race. Each an every one has his gambling addiction be It black or white, African or Asian or European, addiction is addiction and it does not have a direction. Casino is everywhere in the whole wild world so it depends on how people take it seriously that really matters. If you check the whole world you will discover that most people are addicted in gambling. so there is no point exempting African from the map of gambling addiction.
