Are bounty campaigns in the alternate cryptocurrencies board still a thing? A few years ago almost anyone was allowed to join twitter or telegram campaigns and get micro earnings by doing almost nothing.

Doing almost nothing is still doing something, almost > nothing and that is not passive income.  Wink
Plus, if everything is done manually, there is a lot of work, writing tweets, publishing on social media, collecting reference links, posting in the bounty thread, monitoring the campaign to see if there have been any changes, if it requires an update, etc...
I saw that some manage farm accounts automatically, I don't know how successful it is. I know it's worthless from the point of view of the project's success, but no one cares about that.

I didn't check recently, but I believe most of them accept participants who are at Member rank or higher, and I'm not sure about how much they pay. But, as said by @examplens, you can't say it's nothing if you are asked to complete certain tasks manually and provide reports for them as well each day.

Yes, these payments were in alts which sometimes never became liquid, but if you joined let's say 10 campaigns and 3-4 alts where successful you already got more than $3 USD in exchange, with little to no effort.

But if someone is joining 10 campaigns, doing tasks for a month or so, or even more time in some cases, and then getting $3 or something even for each campaign, it doesn't fall under the category of earning $3 per day.

Right now, I don't consider being a signature campaign member a micro task, especially when you're about to start herein Bitcointalk. Man, it's not easy to earn merit nowadays. You really need to work hard just to earn merit here on Bitcointalk.

Anyway, here's the micro task I'm doing right now where I can earn $3 per day: at play.pixles.xyz, you can earn $3 by completing tasks ingame that gives in-game rewards and $Pixels tokens, which are tradable and can be sold on a crypto exchange or even P2P. DYOR.

I think that I should've been more specific: I meant $3 USD per day, not per month. I remember that some campaigns ended paying in exchange like 100-200 USD for simply joining their Telegram (if you sold their alt at the right time), so imagine if you were active in, let's say, Twitter. But, again, it was back in the 2017 ICO boom, so I don't know if that is still a thing in 2024 since the mentioned board doesn't fall under my radar anymore.

Does that game actually provide tokens or in-game rewards worth $3 or more every day and it's free? I don't believe that, if it's true and you can easily withdraw and sell those tokens then it's great. I'll surely give it a try and see for myself.

Micro jobs or tasks are the ones where you need a task that starts and ends at that moment, it means that you are not supposed to be doing something continuously to get paid for it which is what participants of signature campaigns do, so you are right that signature campaigns can't be considered micro tasks.

Maybe you have the wrong approach and that's why it seems difficult? Merits are not something you "earn" in the literal sense of the word, but something you are rewarded with for creating content that someone considers valuable. The problem of many who have the same "problem" as you is that they consider this forum a place to work, and often realistically, they are not up to the task.

Until you change your attitude towards the forum, the forum will not change its attitude towards you either Wink

It's a common misconception among most new and old users that they need to "earn" merits as quickly as possible because they wouldn't be able to gain a higher rank without it, but as you said, their approach is usually not right which is the reason why they lack behind.

Someone who focuses too much on achieving something will have a harder time achieving it, especially if that thing can be achieved if you are not trying so hard but focusing more on what's important for you to achieve that thing. Similarly, for one to get rewarded with merits and grow higher in ranks they need to focus more on learning and growing instead of running behind merits but most people don't get it.

There is also no point in schooling them because this has been happening since the inception of the merit system, and not much has changed in this regard.
