TBH, if I heard Bitcoin way back in 2010 when it was still a new kind of currency, I might look at it as a scam coin because of its uniqueness. I mean currently, if we see new projects in the crypto space, we are a bit skeptical with everything, right? It's the same with Bitcoin when it was still new. Everybody will be skeptical at first until it establishes itself and will be a great asset/investment.

Well, most of the people are skeptical when they hear Bitcoin way back in 2010, but those who trusted it and invested in it, and held it for a long time are the ones who are having the most profits right now. Just imagine your friend risking his money into something that wasn't even popular at that time, and now he's a millionaire already. The only thing that you can do now is to learn from it and move on. The good thing is you can still be a millionaire right now. I learned Bitcoin way back in 2017 and I also saw the price of Bitcoin to as low as $2000. I didn't buy it and if I can back then and held until now, I could've made my money at least x50 or even more.

At the end of the day, it's all about you investing. Regretting your past decisions will lead you to nothing. Just use your f*cking money and invest on it.

The more we think about what happened in the past and what we could have done in the past to make us millionaires or billionaires now, the more we feel guilty about ourselves. Since there is no use in regretting the past, we should stop regretting the past and think about the future and the present. We must be careful not to make the same mistakes in the future as we have done in the past. As I couldn't invest in the past so now my dream of becoming a billionaire has not come true but if we think about that and don't invest yet then we will miss more opportunities. Because one opportunity is missed, we don't want to miss any more. If we can afford it now, we can invest now and wait for the future, be it five years or 10 years. Hopefully if we wait till this long we will definitely get enough money from the investment.

Your friend did not become a millionaire only by investing, he was able to maintain discipline not to sell quickly and not to spend his investment, he also practiced proper security techniques to keep his investments safe.
@OP instead of you regretting what you would have become, you can actually start making better choices so you become that millionaire you would have become some years ago if you had made better choices. Quit regretting and start investing diligently in bitcoins.

Bitcoin does not make people to become rich, even those who had some amount of bitcoin at early time of bitcoin end up selling their bitcoin. When you see bitcoiners that are rich you don't just conclude they became rich because of investing bitcoin.  Most bitcoin investors know how to handle money , they are very discipline when it comes to spending. For some investors even before they began to invest in bitcoin they already have good sources of income , so investing in Bitcoin is just to give your double of what you have.

If you are rich and you invest in bitcoin you will be rich. Let just imagine someone who had bitcoin then when bitcoin was still new but have no steady flow of money, what do you think would happen to his bitcoin? Do you think he would be able to hodl bitcoin to become rich when he hard nothing to look onto for support?.

Investing in bitcoin and becoming a millionaire at the end of your investment with it, it's not easy or a roller coaster ride that you will fold your hands it happens. So many things will happen along the line(fluctuation of bitcoin price up and down) that will test one patience of hodling bitcoin for long in their portfolio. Someone who's not mentally strong and can't endure how their money declines in price will have their bitcoin sell before it skyrockets to a price that can make them a millionaire.

Can you give your friend a handshake because he made it through as one of those that Bitcoin made millionaires. Not every bitcoin investor made it through anyway. The majority do sell off their bitcoin because they can't keep up with the continuous movement of bitcoin(up and down).

That's a long time to hold bitcoin from 2010 to this day. Bitcoin at that time isn't popular yet in my opinion since it's not that very long since the time of Bitcoin'd creation. If you compare it to this day, you see a lot of people who are now into crypto. As I noticed where those people who knows about bitcoin back in the day have lost their backup either forgotten the password for the wallet.dat or the hard-disk is broken which contains the wallet.dat. This is what I can only say to you, it's really not for you to become a millionaire on that time frame although it is possible that you will become millionaire in the future starting today. As other people would say, it is never too late in bitcoin.

Lots of people that knows about bitcoin and bought bitcoin at the early stage end up selling their bitcoin and some of them lost their private key, they don’t have access to their wallet address anymore. It’s not all about investing in bitcoin at early stage, will you have the patience to hold bitcoin to the current price, or will you be able to secure your private up till now. Since the OP missed early bitcoin investment, then the OP can still invest now, it’s not late to invest also, just make sure you know the necessary things before making investment.

When you see bitcoiners that are rich you don't just conclude they became rich because of investing bitcoin. 

Some people have other sources of income, which is giving them good income, since they are investing in bitcoin, they believe all their wealth is from bitcoin investment, they will never think maybe they are making money from other places.

You are too skeptical in viewing a new thing that you discover. Instead of just rejecting it, you should do research on whether Bitcoin is a good investment or not.
Before Bitcoin became famous, Bitcoin was always underestimated and considered a worthless digital currency. I have my regrets too, just like everybody but we must not let the past write the future for us, I knew Bitcoin in the early 2016 but I thought it was too late to buy bitcoin, since the price seem too big in my eye, so I started looking for other coins and believe me, I lost so much money.

In 2017 I got calmed and slowly accept Bitcoin, as where I should have been from thr start, this was how I missed the whole bull market in 2017 because I don't have Bitcoin, even the altcoins I had I sold them too soon and some turned into shit coins.

When you are new to something it is possible to mess up, but we just have to learn from the past and adjust, today with Bitcoin at 60,000 plus many peoople are calling it too high, they will know what they've missed in few more months.

regret is always in the past those opportunity  given by your friend is a very good offer that can change you life like what your friends life now. Actually you are too  lucky mate that you will know Bitcoin way back 2010 and actually it's a good to have an investment in that days cause now when you look the price or let say when you compare the price today and before way back 2010 you will say that your top lucky once you've invested. OP, you won’t believe it, but you’ve come to a place where there are a lot of failed millionaires or billionaires. Many people knew about Bitcoin from the very beginning, but very few people have bought and tried to hold it until now. Therefore, talking about an unfulfilled event is like regretting spilled milk. I have a lot of sympathy for you because you are an old user and especially in 2010 when the price of bitcoin was around (~0) if you had bought bitcoin for even a few dollars you could have become a famous billionaire or millionaire by now. Since you did not act according to the advice given by your friend then it will not do you any good to regret this time because if you had invested in time and followed your friend's advice then you might not have regretted this day. Be that as it may, time is a cruel thing and if you don't complete your work on time then you will regret this carelessness in future. Talking about personal experiences, when I first came to know about Bitcoin, though it wasn't too early, it was priced at less than $500 at that time. Unfortunately, I was a student back then and didn't have a source of income or any funds I could use to buy any, and even if I had money, I don't think I would buy because even though I was intrigued, I was too new to make such a decision.

As time went by, I kept my involvement active, I used to use Bitcoin faucets to claim small amounts of satoshis and keep them in an online wallet that I had created back then. When several people are introduced to Bitcoin back then, they think that it is a form of online scam or ponzi scam that is been used on several occasions to defraud people; and the main reason for some of us missing out on early Bitcoin investment was because of fear of losing money and the laziness to do research about the new technology then. I am also regretting not being involved in the early investment, but DCA saved some of us and we are able to accumulate some certain amount of Bitcoin at different price range.

You don't need to regret what you didn't do in the past, for now you can only make regular bitcoin purchases using the DCA method, touching on the story of your rejection, I remember there are many stories that tell stories like this, I know at the beginning you were skeptical of your friend when he suggested you invest in bitcoin.

True. 2010 was quite not the time for bitcoin, and even if you start investing with bitcoin that time, there won’t be guarantees that you will also succeed and follow the path of your friend. Those were the early days. If someone had come up to me in 2010 and told me to invest in Bitcoin, I would have probably kicked the door in their face. There was not a lot of information available back then like it is today so you can’t blame those who believed Bitcoin was a Ponzi scheme. But today, it’s easier to convince people that Bitcoin is a real currency. Anyone who still believes bitcoin is a scam or ponzi is either living under a rock or has bought into the propaganda and just isn’t interested in doing their own research.
