The time you mentioned was the year after Bitcoin was created. If we take a look at the history of Bitcoin, we can see that Bitcoin was created in 2009. You mentioned that in 2010 the price of Bitcoin was only $0.09 (this is according to the history of Bitcoin).

The time you mentioned was the early days of Bitcoin creation then maybe Bitcoin was not that popular and no one could have imagined that Bitcoin would be so popular and so high in value. I think it's normal to regret that you saw the price of Bitcoin when it was created at $0.09 and now see it rise to $72,000. It seems to me or as per your statement that your friend did the right thing which is why he is a millionaire today. Think about it this way in the future:

If you have $100 laying around that you wouldn't mind throwing into a fire pit, why not put it into something that is innovative and would have a first-mover advantage? At worst, you lost $100 which is one fancy dinner. At best, you could have 333-1666 BTC now (depending on when in 2010 you would have bought).

Also, playing the what-if game isn't helpful beyond you seeing what lessons you could have learned and how you can chart a different course in your life going forward.

You could have buy or mine bitcoin in 2010 when yout friend introduced Bitcoin to you, but I bet that you would have sold it long ago after holding for a while, 2010 is very far behind and few bull markets have took place at the time.

There are many people who are fortunate to mine Bitcoin in the very beginning but they lost their recovery seed and some sell very early, it's all human mind and their emotions, only very few people hold their Bitcoin all this while.

Well, while it is too late to cry when the head is off, it is of much consolation that you can start your own cryptocurrencies investment now and benefit in some years from now if you follow in your friend's footstep.
Although Bitcoin would be facing a major event which is the halving soonest, it is imperative that any new investor willing to join the family, buy and HoDL despite the price dip and keep accumulating until the bull run comes again after the halving.

The is like "medicine after death". Many people have this regrets with some able to speak up and more to come. You missed Bitcoin when it was few cents, you missed it when it was a few hundreds, you missed it when it got to $750. Even when it got to $1,000 you still believe it was a ponzi. You might feel that Bitcoin is too expensive right now for you to invest in. Yes, realistically, Bitcoin is very expensive for an average individual to afford 1 piece of it, but the good thing is that you can buy Bitcoin in fractions. They said a drop of water can form an ocean (parable), so if you steadily ingage in DCA, accumulating Bitcoin regularly depending on the cash flow, you can accumulate a large sum of Bitcoin. Hold that large sum for the next 15 years, and then you could be a winner too. Do you imagine what the price of Bitcoin will be in the next 15 years?

It is not all early adopters of Bitcoin became billionaires. Many of the early adopters of Bitcoin actually lost their bitcoins due to inability to secure it. Before 2017, if you weren't a very technical person and weren't very willing to sit down and educate yourself, chances are you wouldn't trust Bitcoin. But, I think the year 2017 was crucial. The block size war was the game changer, because it was one of the final things left to be tested in a network of that kind; surviving a community war. People disagreed on a fundamental level on how the network should operate, but the network survived even then.

Exactly, in 2020 was the second best time one should have join the early investors but I didn't achieve that because I was very young. Although I'm still very young but then I would say I was a kid, I did hear of it but my parents, friends and my entire environment was not a technical knowledged people so they couldn't encourage my little information by supporting me with little cash they felt I was going to loss all the money so I didn't buy.

I have said this before, in a cyber cafe where I usually go to practice computer skills, I met people who already knew bitcoin but I don't know if they invested but they always talk about it, that lead me to know about it.

But at least at the end, I have bitcoin now in my Electrum wallet that I do check on frequently. I have a long term plan to hold it but in the main time I will still be adding little by little to it, if I missed the train before I can't miss it this time.

The time you mentioned was the year after Bitcoin was created. If we take a look at the history of Bitcoin, we can see that Bitcoin was created in 2009. You mentioned that in 2010 the price of Bitcoin was only $0.09 (this is according to the history of Bitcoin).

TBH, if I heard Bitcoin way back in 2010 when it was still a new kind of currency, I might look at it as a scam coin because of its uniqueness. I mean currently, if we see new projects in the crypto space, we are a bit skeptical with everything, right? It's the same with Bitcoin when it was still new. That's a long time to hold bitcoin from 2010 to this day. Bitcoin at that time isn't popular yet in my opinion since it's not that very long since the time of Bitcoin'd creation. If you compare it to this day, you see a lot of people who are now into crypto. I have my regrets too, just like everybody but we must not let the past write the future for us, I knew Bitcoin in the early 2016 but I thought it was too late to buy bitcoin, since the price seem too big in my eye, so I started looking for other coins and believe me, I lost so much money.

In 2017 I got calmed and slowly accept Bitcoin, as where I should have been from thr start, this was how I missed the whole bull market in 2017 because I don't have Bitcoin, even the altcoins I had I sold them too soon and some turned into shit coins.

That's a long time to hold bitcoin from 2010 to this day. Bitcoin at that time isn't popular yet in my opinion since it's not that very long since the time of Bitcoin'd creation. If you compare it to this day, you see a lot of people who are now into crypto. As I noticed where those people who knows about bitcoin back in the day have lost their backup either forgotten the password for the wallet.dat or the hard-disk is broken which contains the wallet.dat. This is what I can only say to you, it's really not for you to become a millionaire on that time frame although it is possible that you will become millionaire in the future starting today. As other people would say, it is never too late in bitcoin.

True. 2010 was quite not the time for bitcoin, and even if you start investing with bitcoin that time, there won’t be guarantees that you will also succeed and follow the path of your friend. As they say, we all have our own time frame to succeed in life, so don’t stay regretting. And now is probably your time since I believe you are more than knowledgeable about bitcoin. Just invest at your own risk and hold patiently, I think that’s the best way to start your life with bitcoin.

for the first time people introduce other people into Bitcoin they thought that bitcoin is a ponzi scheme but not knowing that bitcoin is not a Ponzi scheme so many people who has invested in Bitcoin right now and also the time Bitcoin was introduced in 2009 those ones is a beneficiary in Bitcoin today so it is better for window to allow anybody to convince us for investing in Bitcoin it will be proper for you to make research on it without being double-minded

Those were the early days. If someone had come up to me in 2010 and told me to invest in Bitcoin, I would have probably kicked the door in their face. There was not a lot of information available back then like it is today so you can’t blame those who believed Bitcoin was a Ponzi scheme. But today, it’s easier to convince people that Bitcoin is a real currency. Anyone who still believes bitcoin is a scam or ponzi is either living under a rock or has bought into the propaganda and just isn’t interested in doing their own research.

It took you only 14 years to realize that back in 2010 you made a mistake. Have you really not decided to buy Bitcoin for yourself in all this time, when its price was much lower than the current one? Maybe a few years later, today's price will look as attractive as it did for your friend in 2010.
