I think that in a way it is quite subjective to pick the best altcoin for this year depending on their preference and purpose. personally if we were just talking about success solana would be at the top most likely with dogecoin. These coins have shown growth and still have potential to grow more this year.

I'll still go with the traditional choices of the many like going for ETH. Yeah, the fees are crazy and high and that only shows the sign that there are a bunch of folks that are using it and that's in demand. Though, a lot of bridging projects are on it and makes sure that they're not missing the run and despite that issue, they're still not forgetting to run their projects as ERC20.

Traditional choices is the best option among the rest of the altcoins there since we already know that for so many market challenges they stay strong and their community is already solid for supporting this coins for long term. But unfortunately that many choose to invest on meme coins since they think its fast to earn money there due to some of those meme coins pump a lot. But they didn't realize that this token is just a hub or usual created by scammers that's why some got broke and some didn't meet their expectation since everything is falling since their investment with those meme coins sinks.

If they want trusted coins then its better for them to choose the top on the market. And if they want to avoid scams then its good for them not to tempt to invest on those alts since we know that nothing will be gain and we would just regret our decision why we put our money on those meme coins.

While it may sound like a joke, in terms of possible profit I'd honestly say meme coins. They go up and down with rather big increments and you'd usually see a big jump from their start-up to a certain point in time where you'd probably earn idk, 10x or 100x of your investment.
