I think that much depends on the upbringing and position in society gambler. If a gambler feels that his passion for gambling negatively affects his reputation, he tries to hide it from outsiders. If the gambler is independent of the environment, he does not care who and what they say about him and his hobbies. So many people are hiding their gambling habits because, either they are not up to 18 years and so on.

Some people are hiding their gambling activities because they are underage, but some people are adults and they are still hiding their gambling activities. Gambling in some societies is taken as an irresponsible activity, so they don’t want people to take them as irresponsible people in the society. That’s why they choose to make their gambling activities hidden.

Including myself, gambling is still hiding in the sense that I never show gambling in a group of friends, so it will be considered bad by them and if the community knows this is bad behavior, especially those underage, it is certain that there is a ban, but because of online casinos, everything becomes easy without others knowing.

Even if we ourselves think that our gambling is responsible and disciplined but other people will not know that it will not be a problem, but they will think about the badness so for me it is normal as long as we should not display like a stressed person because of gambling.

Anything to support people for doing what they like is fine, I know that many hide the activity of the game to avoid problems with their families and with their various jobs, but this is something that should not be done, if there is a person who They don't hide alcoholism nor hide infidelities, why hide the fact that they like the casino? There is no point, if the person who is playing does not harm anyone, why hide the activity, don't you think? That's because playing gambling can gives more risks to them so they decides to hides their gambling activity and not telling to random people. Honestly, I didn't get the essence that I could get from the thread you posted. especially, if you refer to the title of this thread. Well, it's like this, actually we can answer it simply, in general this is something that is normal if there are many people who prefer to gamble in a quiet place. in this context, referring to your post. it's not like they're hiding "in the broadest sense of the word." It could be that they just avoid the crowds, without anything that makes the games or gambling they do attract a lot of attention in general, or that might even make them noisy. The proof is, you can approach them and even interact. The point is, I don't know where you are, whether gambling is legal or not in your country.

To be sure, I can't answer correctly. because, in essence, I don't know for sure why they did it as you said. There are many factors that cause this, one of which is as I said above. Until now, it's not accepted by the society and everyone who gambles is already a bad guy to them. They are quick to judge but when they'll be the one to get judged, they hated it.

It's true, if we like gambling, we have to be able to balance everything well so there won't be any serious problems with the gambling we do, even if the gambling only ends in defeat. Everyone has a different point of view, it's not surprising that there are people who like to show off their gambling because many people might want to see it, especially when they win at gambling. However, in my opinion, there are quite a few people who gamble by keeping their gambling a secret.

I was walking down my street this evening I saw some group of guys in a hidden corner of an uncompleted building playing WHOT games ordinarily I felt they are just spending usual time as friends and that they are playing the WHOT game to keep themselves busy while discussing.

But when I got closer to them I discovered that there was a dirty container close to them and inside the container is money they bet for the game they are playing , and if not careful observed you will never believe that they are playing bet games .

The concepts of the thread quite funny, but to be honest I think one of the reason why people hide to gamble is as a result of the fact that they are not proud enough of the gambling act irrespective of the fact that most of the gambling are legalized, but at some point majority of the gambling occasions are not legalized one of the reasons why some people tend to hide to gamble.

A simple question here; should gambling be done in public? Because I don't see anything wrong in people gambling in secret, it just might be their way of comfort where they find ease to play.
Maybe those guys are more comfortable in that place especially if gambling isn't illegal in your area. Aside from the kind of upbringing the individual might have grown up with which would want to make them hide to gamble in order to protect their reputation in their environment, some of these people what could make them hide to gamble is as a result of a low self esteem they carry innately it affects their thinking about how things they do and how people might think about them, and this goes a very long way in shaping how they do things.

Nonetheless, I do dislike those kind of gambling as it could lead to fighting and quarrels among the gamblers when one might feel cheated or can't control his temper as he continue making a loss. Agree with all that you have said, but I will also like to point out that, gambling is not all for fun for many that have money already, though I undersant that onlookers will assume the that person is just gambling for fun when in reality, the customer is also highly interested in more money through their gambling activities.

And going back to hiding our gambling activities, i would say that even till now, I still hide my gambling activities from my wife, and this is because she doesn't like gambling, it would be a great disappointment for her  if by any means, my wife discovers as I gamble.

I think some important needs may be attached to gambling in an isolated environment with fellow players. Not all gamblers feel familiar with the stigmas placed on gamblers by non players. I have not seen anything wrong for someone to gamble and make it secret and I have not seen anything also wrong for someone to be a participant of gambling and also make it to open to people tomorrow best on individual differences and the understanding to participate in gambling and also make it to open to people to know the only place that are we encourage people to do is to hide gambling to the children or to the family but in Street or environment you find yourself I don't see any reasonable something that will make me to hide myself not to be a pronounce gambler every person have it on decision your decision might not be my decision so I've chosen to be a gambler that does not mean that Im inresponsible

You are right that when a country does not legalize gambling, most of the people do not gamble in public places and they hide while gambling and maybe that is a safe way for them to enjoy gambling with their friends, just like consuming drugs. Literally WHOT games are card games that is played for fun. It is rare to see people who gamble with such games unless those persons are addicted gamblers. Yes there are many people who are very religious and hide their gambling if their religion prohibits gambling. Also, in many societies gambling is seen in a bad light and many people refrain from thinking that if gambling is revealed, the people of the society will look at it with hatred. But when it comes to online gambling they are no longer what they used to be. Although gambling is prohibited no one will get any information through online gambling.
