YoMix Service Status

Hi bitcoiners,

I have been using Yo!Mix from the 2022 and everything was great until this time I sent them 2.10 BTC and i have letter og gaurantee, still I didint receive any portion of my order and I tried to open ticket with them no answer and response from them.

Does anyone know if YoMix still in business or they just start to scam people?

Things are not looking so great regarding the mentioned service by you - take a look at this thread[1]. It appears that the service has stopped being reliable for some time now as you can see that there are also recent reports on Reddit[2][3] - from this year - that bitcoin that was sent to them was never received.

Sorry to break it to you, but you probably won't ever see back those 2.10 bitcoin. My recommendations is that interdependently of how many times you use a particular service, especially one that you probably use once in a while, always check if it is still active and nothing weird is being talked about it. If you had done that you would probably find all the recent reports regarding the service...

Unfortunately, there are recent reports with the same issues like yours, some have bigger amounts.
If you will check google, you will see those bitcointalk and reddit threads.

Edit: Well, the above post is typing faster (using phone currently). With those details provided, so yeah it's good to say, that you can't get them back.

Have you checked the bitcointalk thread mentioned above? If not yet, you can check it here^[1]. The site mentioned of that thread has a list of trusted and reputable mixers, well, at least for now.

I noticed that their ANN thread in that other forum was locked. Apparently they wanted to open another thread, which never happened ( It was probably their plan to convince julerz12 to keep it locked). Maybe you can advise julerz12 who opened their thread to keep it open such that people can report an ongoing scam under that thread. Otherwise, some people will never know what's happening.

I am not sure if there is a red trust and flag system over there as well.

Officially, Yomix did not appear on that forum. julerz12 opened that thread as part of their campaign a long time ago, but considering the events of the last month, he decided to close the thread. It is a good decision to lock the thread, maybe julerz12 could add some warning in the header.
I don't think there is any plan from Yomix, because no one has contact with them.

As far as I know, there is no part of that forum which deals with scam accusations against different services. Most often about members who received penalties due to abuse or cheating in bounties.

If OP or someone else creates a flag against them I will also support it.
Even if this helps just one person that won't get scammed by them it would be good.

The rep is not only banned, their topic was archived and replaced with a wordfilter so that people googling for mixers will not land on their ANN thread. Hence nobody is going to see any of their trust feedback or flags except for us, but we're already aware of what's going on so it's not very useful to us.

Everyone can see it, and there are still backlinks that are redirecting to their original ANN page, that is now in Archival board.
People who don't know better can clearly get tricked and confused by two positive feedbacks they received last year.
They are also not banned (I think) so they can still communicate with others via PM.

I remember that theymos said that representatives of mixing services will only be banned from posting at first. So you are right. They can receive and send PMs. However, that is only a temporary solution, and since we are now 4 months in the mixers being banned on Bitcointalk era, theymos might have changed his mind and banned them for good.

They have not logged in since JAN, so supporting flag is the most important, as if any directed to the forum, a warning will appear to him, but I doubt that the forum will appear first, especially with the word filtering.
