I can't say what kind of gambling gamblers will be like in other countries of the world but I tried to highlight the kind of gambling participation of gamblers in my area.
Gamblers who are between the ages of 50 and 65 usually participate in traditional gambling with cards, in which case they choose cards as their gambling tool.
Gamblers between the ages of 30 and 40 usually participate in land-based casinos or gambling. These gamblers usually outnumber the elderly.
Gamblers between the ages of 18 and 30 usually bet on football and cricket online and their numbers are comparatively much higher than the above two categories. And nowadays the youth community is most attracted to online gambling and this has become a concern in our society.

It's also the same in my country but I don't have such data to say which is more and less but I'd only say that I see both in all ages that does gambles. A young ones or a young professional at the right age that becomes addicted in gambling and having problems on how they'd spend their money well and to keep themselves in intact budget. And the same goes for the elderly, they're professionals, have got a job and family but also, they're experiencing problems when there are times that they spend 1/4 to half and even full amount of their salaries.

Old people don't have the energy just like the young people do, to continuously gamble. But, it has to be a regional problem. Gambling happens to be a game that unites some friends together, like the old people. They are some gamblers who are old and participates in the game with their friends as they not only want to be bored, but that has been a lifelong activity that kept them going during their early gambling days.

However, in my environment I'd say that young people are mostly into gambling due to the addiction they have on the internet lifestyle. Everyone possess some gadgets that keeps them busily engaged in gambling. But, when I watch videos of offline casinos, I tend to see more of elderly players lined up horizontally playing in all slot machines. In the future, my society would have lots of elderly gamblers, because more young people participates in the game today.

But for me, it will get to a certain age when I will stop gambling altogether, this is a personal determination that I will surely fulfil.

Emotional, how? I don't feel it that way. I see, that's the way you sensed it, it's a choice and it's normal, but I am happy to tell you that the author doesn't feel towards that direction whatsoever. You see, in life, we have different beings and characters, so our behaviours and personalities, and also the immediate and future plans may not be the same thing due to these factors. What I wrote is what I want for myself which I am determined to carry out even without remorse or regrets, since gambling is just an extra activity, I will not even regret letting go when I am at the age of 60 or there about (65 max.).

In case you don't know, this has been peculiar to me since many years ago, and at that age, I want to occupy myself with only those things that give me a free mind to think and breathe without worries. By that time, I would like to invest more in the humanitarian aspect of life and social welfare and activities. To be fair we are talking about different styles and that seems like the case. We see a lot of elder people get together and play backgammon or chess too, it's just a way for them to keep contact with life, normally they are retired so they do not go to work, what is the alternative? Stay at home all day? Of course not, they go outside and meet with people, make friends, and play.

So they may gamble too, could be some small game, could be some poker game, doesn't really matter, or horse races are quite common for this as well, you go there, watch races, meet friends and have fun. Younger generation is not like that, they just whip out their phone and gamble and be done. Doesn't matter who gambles more, it's different style.

You are right, both grades are into gambling, but the youth are the ones who are seen more often than the old people who are into gambling. The old people in my locality can only be seen most of the time focusing on pool gambling shops, where they use old newspapers and other materials to predict the team that will end up playing a draw in their next game. 
 
Another line in which we can also see them being very active is in the draft game, where they sit down with their fellow old men and challenge themselves on the game, trying to show who is superior and who has more skill, and they still end up betting against each other.

Personally I think people won't actually be able to accurately tell the majority of gamblers in their region based on age group more like older or younger gamblers. My reason for saying this is because most of the time people easily tend to Carry out their conclusion based on their present circle or the majority of people around them or even based on what the notice most of the time. For this reason if a person who knows a great deal of young gamblers is asked what age class of people gambles the most he will most likely say younger gamblers since it's what he perceives more often.

Well said mate because of hardship in some many countries today don make elderly people's to joined gambling because although they see it as a way of survival that's why you see that any gambling bet office that you go today you we noticed that the elderly people's are more plenty than the youths, however just as you have said earlier the youths prefer to use online casino.

I think you are getting this all wrong, and this is simply because you've not followed up with the communication from where it started so it's obvious you did not get the gist. First, it is not about retiring and becomes idle, there are other engagements that could be religious, humanitarian, social welfare and productive personal engagements. Are these not time occupying enough? This is a set goal which is personal, so anyone may have their own plans for their lives which I wouldn't want to poke my nose onto, not to mention questioning it.

Secondly, your point about seeing the elderly ones everywhere playing games is just baseless to me because no one says he can't play games and have fun at an old age but saying Gambing will be avoided at that age, which is personal. But we know that when the internet connection is available on that country and they are no limitation from their government, minor can playing gambling easily and they can hide their gambling activity from the adult people. Maybe the elderly still playing gambling at their friends and their younger people look what elderly do so they will try it with their friends. Playing gambling can cause from their environment and with many people playing gambling, old or young can triggers the others playing gambling too. Yes this is the reality because old people are less skilled in online gambling than young people that's why old people are not able to adapt themselves to online gambling. On the other hand, physical gambling is generally seen to involve older people, because in this case, cards or other ancient methods of gambling are involved, so the attraction of young people is less, but the skills of young people are mainly observed online, because online gambling is mainly made according to the preferences of young people.
