South Africa have won their last 2 matches by setting a low run target. South Africa scored 113 runs against Bangladesh, Bangladesh eventually scored 109 runs and Bangladesh lost by 4 runs. Today too, South Africa scored 115 against Nepal, which was not a good target. Nepal came close to winning but lost by just 1 run. Nepal eventually lost and were eliminated from the tournament. Had Nepal won today, they would have had a chance to qualify for the next round. South Africa qualified from Group D. It was very poor decision-making on behalf of the ICC, they could not analyse and account for the weather conditions. They should have rescheduled the matches elsewhere because of the state of emergency in Florida after rain. Not good news for English fans either as the rain started pouring down and we might be in for a long delay and the chances of washout can not be neglected. We might see two weak teams up against two strong teams in both Super 8 groups. We have our semi-finalist before the start of the Super 8 stage, until and unless there is an upset.

Now, England team won the match and match happened and fortunately match was ended due to DLS method. Yes, you are right ICC should take step for the teams which did not play the match and they are out of the tournament. If Pakistani team play match against Ireland,it could qualify for super 8 but rain interrupted and Pakistan is out of the tournament. I hate to be unfair to associate teams. But if it comes to rain interruption, then the higher ranked team should have been given full points. Look at the case with Pakistan. If the match between USA and Ireland had happened, then in all probability they could have entered the Super8 stage. And it has been a frustrating experience for the cricket fans as well. Yesterday, the match between England and Namibia was supposed to start by 10:30pm IST. It finally started by 1:30pm IST and that too for a truncated match.

I agree with you. There is no chance of saying that Pakistan was in awe. We also saw Pakistan's bad performance at the ODI World Cup. And after the ODI World Cup, the Pakistan team has done bad performances in almost every series.
We were sure that Pakistan could not win against India. However, Pakistan will be defeated against the USA, it was an unexpected result. Pakistan lost against the USA because of their bad bowling. Pakistan failed to win even after giving a big target of 5 runs. It was very difficult to collect 5 runs on this pitch. Experienced and important bowlers like Harris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi did very badly against USA. This was the main reason for Pakistan's defeat.

Pakistan was defeated by their bad performance on this field. I also add with you for their batting performance. I wasn't happy with all of the player's batting performances. I didn't like their good performance. All of the players failed for only 120 runs collect to win. All Pakistani players are the same for bad performance. The main problem of the three teams Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is the erratic performance of the batsmen. The batsmen of these three teams are not batting stable. Scotland played really well and at one point the game was completely in their control. It was close game and seeing Australia struggling to get 180 runs was unexpected. England was supposed to get into the next stage. They are a good team in white ball cricket. Out of 8 teams 7 have already qualified, only one team is left. I completely agree with your points. The lack of transparency in Pakistan's selection process is concerning. The committee didn't have a clear strategy or criteria for player selection.

Babar Azam is undoubtedly a world-class batsman, but his captaincy has been questioned. He didn't focus on his own batting line and bowling line. He should care about his own career. Also, Pakistan needs to find strong middle-order batsmen like Mohammad Yousuf, Ajaj Ahamed, Enjamamul Haque, etc.

Australia today created a record in this tournament of losing 6 catches in a game. Poor fielding helped the Scots to get 180 runs on board.
