Never read the OP because of that very long teeext, and just understanding the replies and the title lol. In any way of explanation snd encouranging to my parents, i don't think they will still be interested in such things, they will probably tell me to do it on my own instead. They are even hard to gasp the technology behind smartphones how much more on bitcoin, a magic money.

To encourage parents to buy Bitcoin, simplify its concept, address misconceptions, emphasize its transformative potential, and respect their autonomy in financial decisions.

As per my parent's decision I invest in Bitcoin but currently Bitcoin has moved to dumping position so my investment has suffered a lot of losses. Less educated and less informed parents are currently upset about my investment. But I am trying to convince my parents that every investment has risk and long term holding will definitely result in loss recovery.

How do you want your mom and dad to understand all these wall of text that you wrote. It will be boring to them and that alone can discourage anyone from listening to you the second time. You must not convince or force anyone to buy bitcoin, so that you will not be held responsible for their actions, when the price of bitcoin goes south or if anything happen to their bitcoin investment.

Just tell whoever that you want to introduce to bitcoin, the basic concept of bitcoin that it is worth investing in bitcoin as an investment for a long time or to use it as their savings because it is an hedge against inflation, instead of keeping their savings in banks that will depreciate overtime. They should also use the amount of money that they can afford to lose. Whoever is interested will make research and come back to you showing interest, then you can throw more light on bitcoin the second time.
You have given good advices especially the way the OP described it here is good but a reader will find it annoying. He would not want anything from such a thread. If someone needs to be convinced about Bitcoin, then simply explaining it without making it so big will increase its acceptance. If the OP wanted to let his parents know about Bitcoin, that's certainly commendable. Because Bitcoin can be more valuable than any major asset in the long run. Those who don't know will regret it someday. But of course they can be encouraged to invest in Bitcoin by convincing them but they should never be forced. Because the price of Bitcoin fluctuates widely, if the Bitcoin price falls after the investment, the parents may be more concerned about who will take the responsibility. When an investor gets a good idea about Bitcoin he will never blame others.

Good for the effort but if you check those long thread and you will explain to your parents do you think they will understand?, tons of jargon words have been used I guess if you want to encourage them you must need to teach those things in an easiest way that they can understand like you are having a story tell to a kid that they can relate. Also open up the possible risk so by this you can give them an awareness for losing their money and gaining profits. You introduce to them you are responsible with that money you know how they give all of their hard work to gain that money.
Even if you explain to them the easiest way, the fact that bitcoin is so much volatile, then I doubt if they will end up investing in bitcoin. Parents do not think like Gen Zs, in fact they always want the traditional way of investment rather than those digital means, so it’s really hard to perceive these old adults to embrace and trust bitcoin like we do. Except for some parents who are highly exposed with new innovations, maybe they can be easily convinced to invest into bitcoin, but always tell them that bitcoin price is always unpredictable which means they have to invest with high patience.

That's the case with most parents who haven't been much into technology or have worked in a field where they would be using technological equipment much because technical knowledge is important for someone to know and understand things such as cryptocurrencies. Some might argue that a person without a technological background might understand them very well but I wouldn't agree much, they might understand but they wouldn't be able to understand it as clearly as someone having a general interest in technology would.

So things like these where you invite your parents to join a project or make some investment in a cryptocurrency would only work if your parents are a bit modern and they have a know-how about things that are used for these things, especially electronic devices.

It would be better before they ask their parents to invest in Bitcoin which is very risky, they can first give their parents the best understanding so that they don't panic when they see the price decrease after buying it, of course this is very disappointing for them because they are afraid of what will happen. Those who invest cannot feel any profit and for some people who have a good understanding of Bitcoin investment, of course they will take advantage of this downturn as an opportunity to buy and look forward to making a profit when the price increases again.

However, if they have given their parents an understanding and do not choose to invest in Bitcoin, it would be better for them not to force their parents to invest because of course they have their own reasons or they have felt comfortable with what they have invested in since they were young.

When you do make out those kind of introduction towards your parents about Bitcoin then it would really be not something that would really be that so easy on this case because it would be neitheryou do get that ignored or would be scolded just because you are dealing up on something with those online things on which these old people would really be that only thinking that these are just that scams and not really tending to hear out your part about on the  things that you are really that trying out to explain into them. This is why it would really be something that be situation on this regard. We do know that old people would really be that sticking into those things which are really that traditional and wont really be trying out to touch up something which is really that new into their ears.

On the moment that you would really be trying out to explain something to them about Bitcoin then you would really be needing up that proper introduction on what it is.
Just make it sure that you wont really be giving out any guarantees about sure income or profits because this is where you would really be facing up those problems.  Cheesy

There are already millions of articles that explains everything that anyone wants to learn about Bitcoin, although there are still people that would need guidance to be able to navigate the crypto currency space.  I have a friend that I am helping to do so right now. One thing you have to know is that it is not something you have to force anyone into, just do your thing and focus on yourself, just let them know once in a while and of they seem to have developed interest and would need your guidance, then you can guide them.

My both parents are way above the age of understanding modern technology and for that introducing them to a young age tech like Bitcoin is quiet almost an impossible task and for that one need to understand the generation of the parents before engaging on some discussions such as topics related to modern technology.

Although if you have a parent that are educated and have knowledge and interest on technology, they will always show interest to get engaged with modern day demands which could prompt one into talking them into holding a few Bitcoin as a reserve asset.

A conscious person should know that where there is no risk there is no opportunity and should not hesitate to invest properly following it. So if your parents inspired you to invest in Bitcoin then I believe they will not be disappointed or resentful of your investment and current price. Because the value of Bitcoin is increasing again.

Just as important as investing in bitcoin one should have a fair understanding of bitcoin and be careful. All parents like to make sound decisions about what to do when the market goes bad, investments fail business goes bad. That's why you have to know about the risks first and make sure and then take the right decision. Don't give money unless parents and cousins are sure to give money.
My parents know about me from long time but they never hold me accountable for my work. My father is an expatriate and from his monthly remittance I invest a fixed portion in Bitcoin every month. Even though my mother knows this but she never asks me anything about it as my mother is not educated enough.  But my parents support me in my work. That's why I don't do any work without the support of my parents.  But I have invested in Bitcoin with my parents' consent, in this case my parents will not blame me in this matter even if there is loss instead of profit in future.

Not everyone gets Bitcoin. Its like teaching your grandmother TikTok. Priorities differ by generation. But we dont quit. We need to be smarter. Start by understanding their perspective. The majority of parents seek security. A safe future for their children. Enter Bitcoin. Its superior digital gold. Big governments cant take it. Freedom, people.

Therefore, speak their language. Simple explanation. "Its like putting money in a safe that only you have the key to." Show them the advantages. Not just getting rich quick. The goal is wealth preservation and legacy. It takes time. It takes time. They must be believed. You have smart parents. Their only need is some advice from an expert. You can get them there with some understanding and common sense.

If you want an advice on how to get your parents or any elderly to invest in bitcoin I would say to not show them what you just wrote. It's long and could and be difficult to understand. Your parents are old (assuming you are not 10 years old or something) so they might not easily understand these kind of things anymore so it is better if you basically dumb it down for them.

Anyway why do you need your parents to invest on it? Just invest on it yourself and then show them the advantages and let them decide whether they want to invest or not.

Yeah, for anyone to invest on Bitcoin it must have to with personal conviction and decision and not just because it is what every one else is doing or talking about, but it is normal to show anyone an insight of what Bitcoin is but investing on it should come from their own decision, that way they can be able to make an informed decisions as regards to working towards achieving a successful investment, the pyramid post from the op is quite too lengthy, it could have been more like a concise brief summary of what Bitcoin entails rather than such a lengthy post.

Making someone deals up on something that they havent been able to experience before would really be leading into that kind of hesitance and skeptical about it specially into our parents or those older people.
They would really be that definitely stick into those things which does give out assurance. Usually people who are on higher age does really stick into something which is traditional or something that they do know
to be safe, on which at the time or moment that they do hear out something new or things that they havent been able to encounter yet then this is where they would really be making out those introductions or recommendations on which it would really be that mostly be that rejected or be ignored but just like on what you have said that this thing wont really be enough for you to be completely stopped or would really be
that easily giving up. Sharing up opportunity on how Bitcoin could really be that beneficial in terms of those potential earning opportunities then it would might them get convinced and would really be
trying out to look back and check on things. Actually this would really be just that depending into your own approach.

Many times I have heard that there's a way you do a right thing wrongly and it will fail to the get the attraction and appraisal it ought to have received. And from what I see about the op it's exactly what played out with what I read from members comments about the lengthiness of his post.

Now about the op message, I don't know how old his parents may be, but for mine I don't think they would be interested in bitcoin at their age, I'll rather divert that energy to the younger generation because bitcoin is for the future and it's the next generation that needs a deep understanding of it use-case more than any other. However, I don't know if it's still advisable to convince people about investing in bitcoin without them showing a first-mover-interest to know what exactly this bitcoin they have been hearing about really is.

Keeping them in the know is the best form of defense against the bad time when it happens, since you said that you invest in Bitcoin with your father income, that means he has a target for that investment even though he may not mention it to you or seems to be bordering you with some questions, most times, Bitcoin investment for the elderly is a retirement plans since when you talk about Bitcoin to them, you always say that Bitcoin is best for long term investment, so their expectations won't be in the now, even as illiterate as your mum, she will definitely be aware of the Bitcoin transaction between you and your dad.
You Helium have done well in this situation, and keep educating your parent on the need to securely store they Bitcoin in a privately own wallet and not disclose their wallet security to anyone else.

We're still early, to be honest. Those that have joined the market and invest to Bitcoin now might think they're all late, no you are still early if you're going to stay. And if you want to convince your parents, be good to them, be a good kid so that you'll be able to ask them any favors that you want to. But if you're asking them huge amount of money, you better be serious to talk to them with all of what OP has said, not literally all but the basics of it and how Bitcoin really works. Our parents if they've got a good educational background are unlikely to believe you but giving them references to read, that can be a good headstart.

But you don't expect them to be as flexible as we are because we're already investors and have been here for so long. It takes time for one to understand the concepts of Bitcoin when there's no tangible thing that they can hold as an asset compared to the traditional one for which soon, they will understand that why we're into it and how important it is that this Bitcoin thing is one of the greatest asset and you're longing for them to start having one or DCA.

Now about the op message, I don't know how old his parents may be, but for mine I don't think they would be interested in bitcoin at their age,
Right? I remember my mom just asked me recently about the "10k win" they saw when she accidentally tap an ad on social media about a roulette and ask me how to withdraw it coz she "won". I told her that it's a scam and/or probably a marketing strategy to lure you to the gambling platform, so she better ignore it.

Imagine she can't tell if what she saw if legit or not just got carried away on excitement on the "win" she saw. How much more about this kind of tech and investment, my mom at +50 cannot cope on such thing like trading probably if the price dumps and scams everywhere.
