I don't think I can start up any investment that involves money because of a certain celebrity who's always online saying things that he or she was paid by a brand to say so that people will patronize the brand knowing fully well that most of the celebrities don't even make use of the bands they advertise for other people to buy. First time I got to know about Bitcoin investment was through a friend of mine and I doubted everything she told me because I was waiting to see how far she has progressed since she's been investing before I could think of investing long story short it took me many years to make up my mind and I saw reasons to invest because the same person who introduced me to Bitcoin was on another level then. Do not invest in anything because a celebrity or someone closer to you talked about a particular project, always take out time to do your own research, verify everything by your self and ensure you understand what you want to invest in before you invest.

The truth of the fact is that celebrities/influencers have always been known to have great influence on their respective target audience, ranging from how they behave, what they say and the choices they make both in regards to either investment or personal life choices, e.t.c, of which when it comes to Bitcoin, the role of the likes of people like Elon Musk, Mike Tyson and Snoop Dogg who have every moment proved their undiluted support to Bitcoin and it's ecosystem can never be over-emphasized, and as such, have grown a massive audience within the crypto space. So for me, I can't really say it was an influencer who brought me into having interest about Bitcoin, but rather curiosity and the last two Bitcoin Halving hype was what made me wanting to know more, and today I'm happy I made the right choice.

it's always important to do your own research when you want to invest in something and even if a celebrity influenced you to invest in something that they are promoting, you still need to do your own research and understand what they are promoting. sadly a lot of people do not do this and just blindly follow what their idol says and the end result is either they lose their money because they don't know what they are doing or lose their money because it is a scam.

Nope. That would be really dumb to be honest since celebrities are willing to lose their money unlike commoners like us who aren't willing to part with our money. However, there are many, many dumdums out there who blindly follow their celebrities.

They end up losing their money and regret it badly later on. Do your research people!

I started investing in Bitcoin because of my friend taught me about it but, Obviously not wise to do invest just because of some influencer or some celebrity just because you trust them or they are your idol or something, I mean there were a lot of people getting scammed and hacked with that kind of thinking, if you're going to rely on influencers online or celebrity which is mostly paid by scammers or websites you surely are going to be vulnerable to scams and hacks, those kind of things are popular online getting hack and because they invested because they get influence by some popular people then just ended up blaming the influencers because they lose a lot of money because they invested on it, quite popular I think when the NFTs are starting to blow up. I mean it wasn't really that bad as long as you're willing to do the research on what they are promoting, I personally don't trust these influencers and celebrity-promoting websites or investments because my first thinking was they are all paid to do this kind of advertisement on social media, but when there was some promotion that I actually like, I take my time to actually do the research on it, just to know if it is a legitimate website? is it a legitimate investment? can I make a profit on it? something like that so I don't end up losing money.

I don't belong to that category, but I have people who do. There are some certain people who are so obsessed with the celebrity they follow as their role model that whatever that one promotes or posts, they so much believe in it without even having any second doubt, and they can invest in it without even doing their own personal research about it. 
 
Celebrities, based on how their fans follow them and do whatever they ask them to, have been the major target of some coin creators. They use them to promote and market their products, which can create hype, and many people fall victim to rug pull from such projects, and those celebrities can't be held responsible for their actions.

It is better to do your own research before venturing into anything. Let no one’s persuasion makes you want to do something before knowing what that truly entails. I only got to know about bitcoin true a friend and that was not my first time of hearing about it. So I will say, I only joined when I was completely satisfied with bitcoin through what I’ve personally learnt about it. He made me loved it more but I joined willingly when I was ready because if I was earlier, I would have joined before now. Celebrity and influencers are persuasive tools that are only after their own personal promotion and benefits they get from adverts, so when they advertise something, do your own research before venturing into it.

No I am not influenced by any celebrity or famous person but I do know some people who also know about bitcoin but I do not know if they are influenced or not. I know about bitcoin from my brother-in-law and at first I don't know what it is but I think to myself that maybe I should try it to learn it and understand about bitcoin, blockchain and how it works. Years have passed and I learned many things about bitcoin and also this forum which helps me a lot (information and such).

We are not all investors, some of us see bitcoin as a way to make money online, and for me it has been that way since 2014. I like more the vision of getting bitcoins online and making them real money, that's how it works to me, buying coins with real money has been never an option. But it's just my point of view, for sure a lot of users have bought bitcoin in the past and made an awesome profit just by holding their coins.

And i haven't seen a lot of celebrities promoting bitcoin at all.

Back in 2014 when I got interested in bitcoin Satoshi and other bitcoin brains were that celebrities. I remember being impressed by people who really understood bitcoin like Andreas Antonopoulos, so in a way I did buy because of celebrities, but bitcoin celebrities
There were no real celebrities advertising bitcoin, or at least I don't remember any. When you heard someone talking about it it usually was a guy responsible for the server room in your office building, or the guy who came to troubleshoot your Internet connection.

It is true that nowadays youngsters are inspired by celebrities and try to emulate them. But I don't have much of a social media following so I don't feel the need to follow a celebrity in bitcoin investing. I got a lot of investment related information from this forum so I didn't have to follow anyone else. But I've seen some celebrities who have tried to create hype with different meme currencies, it might still be going on. If you follow someone else's advice when it comes to investing in Bitcoin or any other coin,at some point you won't even know how much money you need to invest. when I invest I am priority my own research all time.

Make your choice and decision moreover you’re the one controlling your money and making financial decision. I dislike influencers and advert not just crypto related advert but, mostly every advert create by an influencer just to promote a website etc. most celebrities live a fake life so you don’t know if they’re genuinely involve in any coin being promoted on their page, Ronaldo for example and a lot of celebrities end up promoting an unknown website etc. Bitcoin is good and trusted but, still doesn’t show any interest if you invest just because your favorite celebrity invest too. I got my bitcoin investment advice from a friend not a celebrity, at that point I still had to make research about bitcoin investment, learn more about bitcoin and still in the process.

Luckily not. If I invest in Bitcoin because of my acquaintance and he is not a celebrity. ha ha
No matter where we get information or know about Bitcoin, as long as we are able to optimize it and not just follow along, then it will have a good impact. Remember, after we are introduced, the best thing is to learn about it, don't just be tempted and attracted by the success of the person who introduced it to us, especially celebrities or influencers. Sometimes, they don't match what is being shared. But at least once we understand more about what's next, then we will be able to understand and choose information that is true, trusted, and also something we can follow. but we can't immediately believe everything, but there must be checks and cross-checks and DYOR, that's for sure. And make sure we are ready for the various risks when entering into Bitcoin investment.

Yep, mate, that's the fact that celebrities make a lot of sense to the youth these days. Because youth thinks that these celebrations are successful people, maybe we can get some profit by following them, although celebrations make money by using these people, that is, they rob these people by showing their name. No matter how much money a person has, he is greedy to earn more. And these celebrations are also included in the same category.

Nope!
I have never invested in Bitcoin by being inspired by this big name shit. I have invested in Bitcion based on my own research. I have also said above that these celebrations lure people on social media to make you a part of their trap so that they can bring buying volume in the buying market or on the contrary, they take Bitcoin from people by creating panic. That is, they abuse these people on the sell or draw and fill their wallets by taking advantage of the opportunity or in other words they want to bring dip for more buying.

No I was already in Bitcoin before those celebrity or famous personalities started promoting crypto currencies, that is why I don't trust them when they promote new coins.
I know they are just being used for publicity, and most of them don't really understand or know about crypto they just got paid for promoting it.
I also feel like those celebrity just got into crypto because of the hype or big news, I don't really think that they would even acknowledge crypto or Bitcoin even if it was introduced to them in it's early stages or years.

I didn't know about famous people at the stage when I first learned about bitcoin, mainly through some colleagues who worked together in the field of information technology. And through the process of many different challenges it built my belief that bitcoin is bitcoin and it's great.

I know about some influencers in recent years to attract new people and prey on people's greed, but basically it is also a way for people to learn about bitcoin goes through challenging processes so that they also realize bitcoin is great.

I do not invest because of the influence or encouragement of others - this is purely based on my own will and self-awareness. Investing is a plan I've had since I was a teenager - but I'm sorry to say that at that time I didn't have any income.

Once I had an income - I started planning investments, of course not directly in bitcoin. My first investment was gold and several others which I thought were profitable until I got to know bitcoin. I know there is no story that needs to be told to other people - everyone has a different story about how they got to know Bitcoin and invest in it.

I discovered this some time ago that it seems I'm the only one who isn't moved by what celebrities do. I don't even idolize any celebrity. Apart from the footballers I don't even know that names of many celebrities. I wouldn't be surprised if I walk pass many popular musicians in my country. I was in the airport one day and was actually beside one celebrity, I didn't know until some other group of people walked in and started hailing the celebrity. I smiled and told the celebrity that I didn't actually know him and he was a bit surprised.

I have read where some said they started gambling because their favourite celebrity does;
Some pattern their lifestyle, from clothing to the rest to that of their favourite celebrity;
I wouldn't be surprised if some people started investing in BTC because if their favourite celebrity. But it won't easily happen unless it is a Ponzi scheme or a shitcoin which the owners hired a celebrity to promote.

I think it’s high time we don’t follow celebrities and influencers blindly. Am not the type that do follow celebrities and influencers, before I will do anything, I always make sure I do my research first, because I have seen lots of influencers promoting scam projects. Most of those influencers and so called celebrities only care about themselves, they only care about what’s entering their account even if their fans are losing, they don’t even care to make research about the project they are promoting, if you can pay them well, then they will promote your project for you, they don’t care if people are losing, that’s why I don’t trust them.

Nope! I wouldnt recommend basing investment choices on celebrities.  Just because someones famous doesnt automatically make them an expert on finances or Bitcoin and  celebrities often get paid to promote products or services, but that doesnt mean they actually use or even understand what they are endorsing. 

It is best to think critically and do your own thorough research before investing money into anything.  Dont just blindly follow a celebritys endorsement or advice without looking into the pros and cons yourself first.  They may have different incentives than looking out for your best financial interests.
