If you want coins for yourself, then you have to buy it, and if you cannot afford to buy it, then you can offer a service and receive payments in bitcoin or in any other cryptocurrency, but to do so you have to be skilled in something, and it is that skill that you are going to offer to users in the community.

That being said, it is also possible to earn coins through airdrops and faucets, but it is not so profitable and you might just be wasting your time for little or nothing.

Op, personally I'd advise you make an extensive research on what you are about to get into and not just be focused on the possibility of earning but arm yourself with the knowledge that it may have drawbacks since doing this will prepare you against any disappointment you'd want to feel if it doesn't go your way.

There are several ways you can earn a coin and that’s altcoins and if you’re expecting to earn bitcoin, then you either have to buy it, or even work for it.
From your post, it seems you’re a total newbie to the cryptocurrency industry and not just the bitcointalk community and I think you should spend more time trying to learn about what you want to own ow desire to own.
The forum is another great place to learn and earn and in cost of trying to grow, you’re leaning while hoping to earn and for you to earn you have to grow in knowledge and in rank and at such, I will advice that you try to grow in knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general and the forum is already a great place for you to learn and grow in knowledge of cryptocurrency.

Personally I don’t think, op will be ready to mine bitcoin currently now, because I think it already cost so much to mine depending on one’s country and the cost isn’t just about owning an ASIC machine but also several other cost as from, cost of electricity, cost of cooling and cost of maintenance which you’ll agree with me is not even cheap and if op could afford such things, then it would be better he just buy and hold.

You can do all of those three besides the other ways but you must search for the information before you decides. I heard that you can mines some coins with your PC even with your phone but I don't knows what and how to do. But those coins is not worth to mines because we don't knows where we can sell it. But if you mine with a hardware, you may have a chance to sell the coins and make a profit and that depends on the coin. Earn something without using your own money? I'm afraid that's almost impossible at your current situation already.
Bounty campaigns can be one if you don't have any money, but it will take time before you can earn. Testnets from new projects can be as well, but most of them aren't rewarding testnet users unfortunately, or if they will, it will not be worth it. Faucets? Completely gone already or if there is still, it's not worth the time.

Nowadays, if you really want to earn in cryptocurrency, you need to use your own money... or not. I guess the best way for you to earn money in crypto is to be a freelancer. At that way, you don't need to put your own money, but you need to put your skill to work, and work with other clients, and they will pay you using cryptocurrency.

Earning in cryptocurrency without spending your own money is still possible, but hard IMO. You're a beginner with crypto you said. Why don't you spend your free time learning at least the basics of cryptocurrency first before investing? That would decrease your chances of losing money.

As a beginner you need to focus more on learning a little bit more about Bitcoin so that you will not totally become a newbie and also to know the ups and downs that's involved because things may not be very rossy all the time, so actually one of the possibility of making money in crypto is only through your investment so you need to start investing on Bitcoin and also if your intentions is for trading I would advise you not to venture on that because you don't have enough knowledge that's required and besides the risk is very high.

For now I think the best thing you should do now is  to invest and hold though you may not really see any tangible profit at the beginning but in the future is obvious you will have a lot of profit but to be on a safer side holding will be the best because out of greed so many people has lost there investment because they believe that they can easily become rich through trading and at the end reversal was the case.
