Putin won't launch a nuclear weapon weapon unless he is prepared to engage in a nuclear war.

For all I know about Putin, dude could get desperate when he wants to get things done and we can't be certain of what's going on in his mind or the extent to which he would want to follow up on this war. The only reason why we can assume that he wouldn't want to make use of his nuclear weapon is the fact that the use of nuclear weapon is almost out of consideration with choosing war arsenal for a battle. Any nation that goes ahead to make use of nuclear weapon to settle a way deserves to be wiped off the face of the earth.

Sure, Putin could do "anything", I guess theoretically speaking, but thus far he has never acted irrationally.

And it's unclear whether his military would follow his orders if they were so obviously suicidal. Launching a nuclear war is actually, in reality, far more complicated than "pushing a button". There would have to be planning for months, if not longer.

You make my point for me: Trump will surrender our strategic defenses to Putin if he wins again. This will cause a nuclear war to happen since Trump would so weaken the USA that Putin actually could win a nuclear war, which will cause it to start.

The reason the world has stayed out of a nuclear war for half a century is because a strong America has prevented it from happening by maintaining the strategic balance. America surrendering--or simply dissolving because of civil disunion--will mean China and Russia can do whatever they want with their nuclear weapons, and they will most certainly use them in that case.

The launch of a nuclear rocket will not be carried out haphazardly by a country, there will be sanctions imposed when they do that, especially since nuclear warheads are very large, they can damage areas over a wide range, so if there is news that says a country launched a nuclear weapon then be sure. First of all Putin still needs support of the people and he's already balancing on the edge because the longer the war lasts the more people lose their loved ones and will become anti-war and anti-government.
Most people don't support the use of nuclear weapons and are afraid of global war where we all get to breathe irradiated air and drink irradiated water.

Then there's a matter of retaliation. Many world leaders already think that Putin is insane, but using nukes would make him look insane to the whole world.
Countries that don't support Ukraine now might do it if nukes are used.
I'm sure that countries like Estonia, Finland and Poland would want NATO nukes to be stationed in their countries, which would be bad for Putin as it would increase the number of targets he'd have to hit in case of a global nuclear war.

We humans will be the cause of our extinction. I’m yet to fully read on the cause of extinction of other species that were like us, but human would end it all for no reason. Guns are understandable, grenades are understandable, but nuclear bombs? What are we trying to kill? To wipe off humanity entirely? Doesn’t matter if they produce smaller/micro nukes, I still fear for how we humans will be the cause of our extinction. And it’s just worse to think that we’re still at the tip of it. I mean, there’s more to discover and build. We have not been here for crazily long but we have figured how to kill ourselves. I understand that there are times these weapons are needed. But knowing it exists and can be misused is worth being scared for.

All your claims on weapons and technology are systematically being proven pure Kremlin propaganda. Not even half of what Ruzzia claims in all aspects are they able to actually use it in the field. As of today, they are the second best army ... in Ukraine.

The bottom line is that you cannot allow a nuclear power to invade others at will "or else", because they would simply take that as a weakness. You can only negotiate with Ruzzians once you have shown that they cannot impose their will by force. It is simply much better and cheaper to stop Hitler in Poland Putin in Ukraine.
