Today I searched on Google and found that 70 percent of people in Nigeria are engaged in agriculture, that is, they are dependent on agriculture. Whenever 70 percent of people in a country are dependent on agriculture then it is assumed that agriculture is the main occupation of that country. The production in agriculture has been deficient since and the population is also increasing those producing are inflated the price because of the increase in price at the time of production, and it is now looking as if we have only a few farmers now, and from the analysis am doing people will end up starting a farm because the price of food is going up and people will starting having small farms and that is the only way we can reduce the rate at which the price is going up. if not for that the price will keep going up since the demand for food is always high. and the birth rate is more than the death rate so there is difficulty in balancing the supply of food for this increase in population that is one of the reasons that hunger keep increasing because the rates are going up and with a situation like this if not taking care of quickly then the crime rate will be increasing because people will do anything for them to feed.

I am no expert about African politics but one of the reason for Nigeria's misery is its population growth.
Compare it to Ethiopia, it's similar in area, a little bit more than Ethiopia but the population of Ethiopia is almost half of that Nigeria. And even though Ethiopia is land locked, it's economy is nearly as large as Nigeria that makes its GDP per capita higher. i.e. even having a smaller economy, Ethiopian people are much richer than Nigerians.
Both Ethiopia and Nigeria are multi ethnic and both and ethnic violence in past and present but Ethiopia seem to have better control. Both Ethiopia and Nigeria has larger population of Christians and Islam. Ethiopia has a bit larger Christian population while Nigeria has a small majority of Islam.

I think this is a common occurrence and a rarely talked about problem with how the world works right now. Countries with a lot of resources and basically a lot to show for themselves ending up poor cause either they don't have the capabilities to fully utilize these resources to their prime capacities and make themselves rich, or they are systematically enslaved by other "powerful countries" which is the case for Africa. It goes without saying that the interference from western powers rendered the countries in this continent poor, when in fact they are one of, if not the most resource rich countries in the planet. Obviously it is corruption and taking advantage to these people. Same goes with other third world countries wherein farmers and other people on the agriculture industry are only getting a small amount from their harvest while capitalists are the ones who are enjoying the profit upon selling what they have bought from farmers. Not only do most people not have good knowledge about how to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the agricultural sector, but the government also seems to not care about farmers. The government must focus more on and facilitate farmers with various needs such as building irrigation canals and distributing subsidized fertilizer to farmers. Agriculture is really needed by the lower middle class to finance all their needs, the government needs to increase people's interest in agriculture because the results are mutually beneficial. Farmers can be saved due to inflation and the government can increase the amount of exports because of abundant agricultural products.

Government support will help citizens who are still having difficulty finding work, reviving the community's economy in terms of agriculture will reduce the burden on the government and also reduce the unemployment rate. The difficult situation that is occurring in Nigeria is the government's responsibility to improve the people's economy.
