All the games that were played yesterday were surprising because all the clubs did not expect what happened yesterday, but that is football for you because even Madrid losing to Arsenal was a surprising situation.

Not surprising to me but Arsenal should really prepare for the second match because thing might turned around as we have seen Champions League matches surprising us all the time at this knockout stage. Home teams are more favoured naturally in Champions League and Arsenal was at home. Arsenal is not bad at EPL at all. Real Madrid is not really playing good in La Liga for now. So such result should be expected.

The second leg of this fixture is going to be a really explosive atmosphere because I know arsenal aren't going to Spain to play defensive and Real Madrid as we know can still have some magic up their sleeves so I would expect alot of goals to be scored in the second legs and as for their poor performance I think they have been times which the moment Calls for improvement and they turned up actively and this is one of those situations come next week Wednesday.

Will it not be interesting if Aston Villa can somehow pull up the same surprising results as arsenal did, if the two English teams scale pass this phase of the competition it would mean that it will be arsenal against Aston Villa in the semifinals of this competition and Aston Villa would have very good chance of qualifying for the finals of the Champions League because according to statistics their coach has a very good record against Arsenal over the couple of seasons they've played. The result from the Premier League can translate to the Champions League and that could give Aston Villa the first ever Champions League. From what I can see PSG is just in the way of this.

That would definitely be a huge surprise, infact I would be more surprised than the Inter Milan beating Bayern Munich away from home and Arsenal beating Real Madrid 3 - 0. Combine these two games and I will be more surprised if Aston Villa pulls this off. I see PSG winning Aston Villa on the two occasions, yes I only started believing on PSG this season especially after their performance against the English champions and their will be champions of this season. Personally, I see PSG all the way to the finals this season.

PSG has shown with their performances so far that they are one of the favorites of the tournament. Just beating Liverpool has done that. They played a great game against Liverpool and eliminated Liverpool, the favorite of the tournament this year, early on. They are currently competing with Aston Villa and I think they have the power to beat Aston Villa in both matches. Because they have been playing very well so far in the match and have not even given the English team a chance.

The match between PSG and Aston Villa is really a difficult one to predict. Many people already find it hard to predict what the outcome of the match will be, and it is true because both teams cannot be underrated against each other; they can both pull off a good performance, just like PSG did with Liverpool. Nobody expected that to happen to Liverpool. Now they will be playing against Aston Villa, and we know already Aston Villa are also not in bad form; they are doing good too. I really thought Aston Villa would be cooked playing PSG from their home ground, but guess what a Rogers goal did put them ahead but less than 5 minutes ahead PSG equalized as expected through Doue, and now it's game on! It's been a wonderful first half performance, it's been PSG who has created some of the more chances though but it was Villa who first got the ball to the back of the net before PSG responded immediately with a leveler.

Yeah they had lots of chances compared to Aston Villa and I believe that the next goal would be scored by them, well I'm really impressed with Aston Villa's defensive tactics they've been good defensively else PSG could've been leading by now cause they're the one in more control of the ball while Aston Villa choose to defend more than going forward too often, it seems Aston Villa are relying more on a country attacking opportunity just like the one they scored their first goal with.

I hope this game doesn't end this way because Dortmund will be more aggressive at home, so Barcelona should try to score more goals in the second half. seeing the situation of this match, Barcelona has a chance to maintain a lead against the second leg, which will be played at Dortmund's home, and R. Lewandowski's performance isn't encouraging either, so it would be good if Hansi Flick made an early substitution to bring in F. Torres.

They really needed to respond early so to avoid the kind of scenario that had with the other English side in the Round of 16, holding the ball and creating chances but no goal. They just had to look for a way to score and it seems like as this goal has come in for them, they might likely score more. The ball possession is insane, they literally pegged Aston Villa to their own half of the field and both teams were sharing that half. Shots on target is 6 with one goal. They really need to put good use of their chances.

I think the winner will be PSG or Real Madrid but the thing with the CL is that there are always great teams so often anybody can beat anybody on their day.

We can’t discount Barcelona, Bayern or even Inter but I still think PSG or Real will win it.

PSG will surely arrive in the semifinal, but it is very difficult to say who will pass between PSG and Real Madrid in the final, unfortunately Arsenal permitting, will have to challenge each other. Same fate for Inter, Bayern Munich and Barcelona, Inter will have to eliminate both Bayern and Barcelona, very difficult but not impossible to get to the final

That's a pretty weak set of data to base your conclusions or predictions on. You could bend or find many sets of data that somehow predict what you would like to come true.

If we stick more to the facts now, I think history is not what would support Arsenal or prevent them from winning that title. Arsenal's biggest impediment is how many important players are injured. Saka and Havertz not being available is like Madrid having to substitute Vini Junior and Mbappe. They are two of the most important players and it has bad impact on Arsenal's ambition and of course their game. It won't be the same. Saka particularly can't be replaced equally.

PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid are my favorite teams foe the final. Arsenal I don't know, they are not at full strength without those players.

You say it’s a pretty weak sets of data, I guess you don’t know it all. In football it’s not always about who’s better or works hard, if you don’t know it there’s LUCK, It plays a huge part in the game and theirs HISTORY.
Remember when Messi moved to Paris St. Germane and history had it that Ronaldinho moved to PSG before the World Cup and won it the next year and Mbappe moved to PSG and won it, so Messi moved to PSG and won it (that’s history favouring).

Talking about Spectacular players, most times teams don’t win trophies cos of those players but of collective efforts, those players you mentioned in the Arsenal team didn’t even perform against Madrid and yet Arsenal won.
Look at PSG team now and team when they had Neymar Messi and Mbappe. Do you think they were better then?.

Barcelona is winning with one-goal lead, but so much bullsh*t is going on up front; they keep misusing chances. Lewandowski is somehow ruining things for the first half ; he just keeps losing possession of the ball. Even the only goal almost got disallowed because it's likely an offside (still have doubts if that goal wasn't offside). I expect more goals this second half, but the strikers need to make it happen.

On the other hand, Dortmund are not impressive at all in the first half, though the second half could be different.

It's just that this could be a good thing or even the opposite, even though we know that in the end Aston Villa is currently not too favored in this match but it cannot be denied that for now they are also a dark horse with a pretty good quality counterattack especially this is one of Emery's schemes where they will focus on defense and try to get good momentum in a fast counterattack.
Aston Villa will try to get a draw in this first leg because after all it is already an advantage for them.

This statement was proven in the first half where Aston Villa who focused on defending and waiting for momentum actually took the lead first even though PSG managed to equalize the score for them.

It is actually interesting the scheme that Aston Villa is currently doing where they lose possession of the ball even their shots are only 2 and 1 on target but it is very effective in making PSG a little confused with the surprise goal that was made.
The second half begins, Enrique will clearly try more than the first half especially for their attack scheme which could be a dangerous situation for Aston Villa but it cannot be denied that as long as Unai Emery's troops focus then I think they can take the momentum with a counterattack again like in the first half even though for now the chance is still held very well by PSG.
