If you look at the new format of the number of matches they have to play, of course this change is very burdensome for the players and managers. Lucky for every team that managed to finish in the top 8 of the standings, and automatically qualified for the round of 16. For teams that finish in 9th to 24th place, they have to play 2 more matches in the playoff round, in that round is the heaviest burden I think. What is clear is that the more matches a team has to play, the greater the risk they have to face, such as player injuries due to fatigue.

In terms of finance, this format provides the opportunity for more income, but for a team like Madrid who participated in 7 competitions this season, they are clearly not happy. Meanwhile, in the League phase, the quality of the game will clearly decrease, the intensity will only run at a high tempo when entering the round of 16 and so on. However, as Champions League lovers, we will still see this new format as a challenge for every contestant.

PSG vs Arsenal should be one of the biggest fixtures of the second round match of the champions league. Each of this teams have been doing great in their respective leagues and you can’t easily say one is better than the other in their domestic league games even though Arsenal is not on the first position on the table which PSG is. Playing with a team like PSG should even make Arsenal want to play better and win the match. They have a lot of potentials in their team but if they don’t make use of them well, PSG will easily prevail against them.

The match between Arsenal and PSG will be among the toughest matches of this round of the Champions League, both the teams are very good in their domestic competitions, and both of them have some quality players in their squad that can help their respective teams to win games.

I will be supporting Arsenal as an Arsenal fan because I believe we are going to win the match because we draw our Champions League opening match against Atalanta, losing or playing a draw against PSG will make many people think that Arsenal cannot be capable of going far in the competition and Arteta will equally want to win the game.

The current PSG squad has more experience than the Arsenal squad and if we’re going to rate this match on experience by each team, we may give the winning in the end to PSG which in my opinion it can’t be that easy for them to attain. PSG is a very strong team also, their dominance in the champions league in the past cannot be forgotten, they’re also up to the task to prevail in this match too.

Arsenal vs Paris Saint Germaine will definitely be one of the star games of the match week 2 in the UEFA Champions League competition and a very interesting game to look out for. When it comes to the Champions League, experience of a team in the competition plays a major role and we all know that Arsenal have got a better record in the competition than Paris Saint Germaine. Again, Arsenal will be playing the game at home and that I think is an added advantage.
Paris Saint Germaine have been impressive this season in all competitions and will be going to the Emigrates with the intentions of getting a win in that game which will make the game a difficult one for both teams but I predict an Arsenal win

PSG are on a top form even more than Arsenal and Arsenal hasn't been very consistent in the champions league therefore I don't think this is going to be a one sided match that'll favour only Arsenal. Both clubs are playing good football and they'll both have their chances to win the game. I think the club that wants it more is going to win and since this is the begining of the season and Arsenal will be playing at home, they're going to win. Head to head, Arsenal has the advantage over PSG. I also think there might be a draw somewhere between the both clubs as no one will want the other to win. There's more pressure on Arsenal to win though.

Surely one of the most anticipated will be the fixture between PSG and Arsenal at the end of the second week of the UEFA Champions League. After impressively beating Girona in the first game, sure they will come to Emirates full of confidence, especially after Arsenal managed only a draw with Atalanta.

Even when the story is about PSG having done well in all competitions this season, that is not the story of their history against Arsenal. Amidst this, Arsenal has the major hosting hand which might seemingly apply in the match. PSG, after an opening win, might be better equipped now to battle through this one, but still would have to do so with extreme caution against a side like Arsenal, notching a good amount of experience in the Champions League. The upcoming match may well prove a very tough fight for both teams, as it will be big pain for PSG while approaching an encounter with current positive dynamics.

But in the Champions League, in my personal assessment PSG is still not strong enough to compete in the Champions League, so I can't expect too much from PSG. Also in fact, at this moment also if you consider from the available odds, it is clear that Arsenal are quite favored because after all, their current odds are @1.73 for Arsenal and @4.75 for PSG. With odds like that, then I think there is no good chance for PSG in this match and not only that, because I also believe this match might be boring with few goals.

Considering also the previous match when PSG played at home despite only playing against Girona, but PSG looked difficult to make goals, and only won with a score of 1-0 despite playing at home, and it was very boring because it only played against Girona which in fact, Girona has decreased performance this season. Likewise, Arsenal only drew 0-0 against Atalanta and thus, I personally don't have too high expectations of PSG and Arsenal, because they are still not strong enough in the Champions League.

I don't really place Arsenal as favorites in that match, but I agree that Arsenal has a good chance of winning in their home match. Arsenal must be able to take advantage of home advantage to win, but PSG is not an easy team to beat. There are many good players in Luis Enrique's squad who can also score goals and win matches, so both teams' chances of winning still have to be considered.

However the match ends, both of them still have a long journey (6 matches remaining) to reach the last 16.

Of course this will be a pretty good opportunity where PSG's odds look tempting even though it cannot be denied that Arsenal are favorites not without reason especially they play home in this match but with the strength of the players who are almost balanced actually being at PSG's odds in betting I think it is still quite reasonable because even though Arsenal are favorites but PSG's chance to win is also still very open in this match especially with some changes in the scheme and quality of cooperation in the attack that Enrique has made for PSG this season I think it is still very reasonable when we are at PSG in betting.

Moving away from the topic of matches it seems that for now the busy schedule is starting to be complained about by some players because it cannot be denied that with the new format in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League at this time, the stamina of the players is completely drained like a cash cow and this actually makes them vulnerable to injury.
Son also recently said that they are not robots because of the tight schedule every week and that actually seems reasonable.

Honestly for the new format although I am happy with the situation where the football schedule is quite tight but seeing them being forced to play all the time gives more concern for the physical condition of the players.

If you are commenting exclusively about champions League I will agree with you slightly but if we want to make a general comparison about the cumulative performance of Arsenal as compared with PSG then this may not be completely true because in their domestic league, both teams are performing well within their rankings. For me I see a 50/50 chance for this two teams in this game, although the home advantage may be something Arsenal may want to utilize well enough but it will means PSG not giving off matching strength and performance but on a general scale, both depth and strength, both teams aren't doing bad except for differences of strategy and tactics.
