Munich have won all of their last 6 Champions League matches against Barcelona. And out of the last 11 matches, Munich have won 9 matches and Barcelona have won only 2 matches.

Munich ahead in statistics. But I'd say Barcelona have to go ahead considering recent performances. Barcelona performed well in the last match against Young Boys. At the same time, the top spot in La Liga is still held by Barcelona. We have seen very strong performances from Barcelona in home matches. On the other hand, Bayern Munich's performance is a bit weak at the moment. We have seen a very strong performance from this team at the beginning of the season. But Munich failed to win in the last three matches. So I highly doubt if Munich can win against Barcelona.

Do you remember last season how quickly Stuttgart were able to get to the top of the German Bundesliga table and they were able to mange to stay there for quiet some time but didn't get to win the trophy but importantly they got people surprised which set the pace for them to have a champions league appearance but in the champions league they haven't been doing so well and this includes in their domestic league and i don't see this as enough to write them off immediately but keeping hope alive, they are definitely going to get better before the end of the season even if not in the champions league.

But Atletico Madrid's defeat was truly unacceptable even though previously Atletico Madrid was able to hold Real Madrid to a draw in La Liga but who would have thought playing in Portugal Atletico Madrid suffered a very embarrassing defeat and conceded 4 goals without being able to reply with 1 goal against Benfica.
Atletico Madrid's defense looked very weak in that match. I saw Benfica's statistics. They were very aggressive, taking lots of shots and trying to put pressure on Atletico Madrid until their opponents were completely helpless.

Unexpected things happened, Real Madrid losing was beyond our expectations and Bayern Munich losing to Astron Villa but I didn't expect it. In other matches, Real Madrid came back from that place after falling behind, but Real Madrid could not do that in this Champions League match. 

Their opponents scored a goal against Real Madrid and that goal was a penalty but Astron Villa's goal against Bayern Munich was a great turning point for Astron Villa. And because of that goal, Bayern Munich lost to Aston Villa in that match. 
However, even if these two teams are defeated, I believe that they will return to winning streak again in the future.

I see many other people who think like you and they believe Aston Villa could lose this match to Bayern Munich just because of the results Bayern Munich got in the Bundesliga so far with their new coach Kmpaney but it was bor enough for him at all for win the greater tournaments like the Champions league gages.
However, Bayern Munich had much more goal opportunities than Aston Villa in this match and I think Aston Villa was just lucky.
