I personally expected to see Atalanta in great shape and to be a rested team but it was nothing like this and we saw a Real Madrid still having the hunger for perfomance and hunting trophies. It was also clear that Atalanta needs some fresh transfers , especially in attack where they lacked consistence and vision.

Overall , I'm a bit happy for Mbappe because he scored his first goal but I'm also happy for him because he finally won an important trophy for him ( besides World Cup ) and I'm sure he really wants to be UCL champion with Real Madrid.

He has the potential to even exceed that goal limit for the season bit one thing i am scared of for him is that he is not so used to being used as a top 9 (striker) he is a kind of player who plays more like a free role but mostly operate from the wing and then always move inside the box to score goals. I think being used as a full time striker will limit most of his movement and will probably affect his style of play. Vinicius is also an important player and there is no way Ancellotti can use them both so Mbappe will just have to adapt to his new role, the support from other players will make it easier for him. yes most likely mbappe will be the top scorer in la liga later, or other competitions, seeing the attack line occupied by real madrid now mbappe will be spoiled with good passes, as long as he finds a good position to take advantage of all the passes and produce goals. and as i saw in last night's match against atalanta, mbappe is good at positioning himself, the chemistry that is established with his new teammates is very good, real madrid is a solid club in all lines. i look forward to the achievements that will be made later.

Lille are off to the next round and I believe fernabache and Mourinho are left to tackle their league performance as you have stated. To me, Atalanta didn't play well at all. They create any chance in the first half. It was as if they were afraid to commit players in attack. The whole game they had only one shot on target. How do they expect to win when they don't create chances and take shots? I understand Madrid is a way superior team but Atalanta wasn't convincing at all because Madrid wasn't in their best form if we are being honest.
Madrid's midfield was not very solid in the first half, they couldn't create chances and they couldn't dictate the game. Bellingham had to step up a bit in the second half. I believe without Kroos, Vinicius is going to be very important for Madrid in terms of creating chances.

I never had any doubt about Mbappe for Madrid as long as Carlo Ancelotti is their coach. He's very good at player management and he gives them all the confidence they need. There may be other problems in Madrid but lack of confidence and dressing room issues will not be one of them.

From yesterday's game I don't think their is anything to doubt about Mbappé  performance the boy did a great job yesterday aside the attempts he also scored next season Theit is going to be a lot of show, Mbappé came prepared  playing for Real Madrid he wants to build his name. In the first half, Atlanta was still able to keep up with Madrid game, but in the second half, several mistakes made by Atlanta players actually punished them with goals, the change in strategy made by Ancelotti in second match had a significant impact on Madrid attacking game, and after Valverde and Mbappe scored goals , it was clear that Ancelotti was trying to change their playing formation from attack to defense by trying to pile up midfielders to break up Atlanta attack and it turned out that what Ancelotti did was very effective in maintaining their victory in that match.
