IMO, every team should still focus on the domestic leagues until the end of the season. Even if they don't perform well there, it is impossible to put it aside. Each team must try to do their best in their domestic leagues, they have a minimum target to be achieved. For example Liverpool and Atalanta, they must keep their focus on domestic leagues because they will try to finish again in the UCL zone at least.

UEFA get advantage with new format because they have much commission from TV broadcasting because have many matches than old format and earn much profitable from advertising.

But have bad side for players with busy schedule matches in domestic league and must playing until eight matches in Champion League for the first time, I don't know how possibility with international schedule very busy and players return to their club with injury will bring bad impact for teams its self.

About AC Milan vs Liverpool this is their first met after 2021 in Champion league and if we see based on head to head statistics in the last few years both teams has been met several times and i can see Liverpool has good records from Milan moreover we all know although both teams has new manager but Liverpool performance is much better compared to Milan because Liverpool under Arne Slot still managed their unbeated records since pre season tour and if we see from their recent performance i think Liverpool should be able to overcomes Milan
